after all cows don't just give milk for the sheer fun of it. The have a calf that's then taken away and they lactate for a couple of years as long as they are milked then they rinse and repeat.
huh, I didn't know that. Makes sense though

Learn something new everyday! It's good for you. Keeps you sharp. :thumb:
jup that would be great, but then I forget it. I remember that I did learn something new yesterday or the day before, cuz I remember typing that, but have no idea what it was that I learned. :(

I had DSL for a while. It kind of sucks. Finally got cable Internet and am getting 50mbps. I can watch anything in HD on both upstairs and downstairs TV. Different programs.

At Home I have 100mbps service ..

the CATV Co won't wire up where my workshop is because of low density .. they can't make enough money .. so at the workshop, where I spend quite a bit of time, it's DSL a sat feed or 4G adapted ..

Wow - chatty afternoon on the porch.

As a daughter of a beekeeper, I heartily agree! When you don't disturb them, they won't bother you. Just don't go barefoot in a field of clover.

Or step in a yellow jacket nest when mowing a field. Holy YIKES - I was damn hear naked pulling off my shirt and shorts to get them dang bees off me as I went running away from the nest. That was my worst encounter w/ bees. I tripped over a log and went head over heals landed on my feet an kept running. When I got to the house Janet was laughing at the 360 flip I did trying to get away.

One time I left one of my shirts behind, and she appropriated it for her bed. They didn't have any issues until 6 months later when Bandit disappeared for 2 weeks, and came back home having eaten a plastic bag that tied up her guts. No operation possible, they had to put her to sleep. When they buried her in the back yard, I insisted that they nest her in my shirt. I still get sad thinking about her.

Oh ... oh ... that was just so sad to read.

I once tried to do something upside down .. I believe to this day it was the original cause of the backpain .. the sad part was, I lost track of her over the years .. but man, talk about flexible .. ;)

Pictures or it didn't happen. :D

So we were watching the cooking channel while baby sitting Miles today. The Guy Fieri show came on and I asked Janet if we could buy a car like his instead of re-doing the kitchen. Do I have to tell you her answer?

Do you think J-Wraps makes Camaro skins to fit a Honda CRV?

too funny! not that ya got stung, but yanno. lol for a long time I had and episode of dog whisperer that I kept on the dvr, cuz it had a tiny yorkie named bitsy that did just this at a dog park. Would still have it if I hadn't accidentally deleted everything I'd recorded one day! grrrrrrr

How far away from your house is your shop? I have a reason for asking.

On inversion devices .. My ever present back pain has resulted in my considerable financial support to the Back Pain Relief Cartel .. (BPRC) .. 3 TENS units, a full body reclining chair massage machine with foot massage option, Therma Care, Salonopas pads, various creams, a spine alignment device that you lay on that was invented by Torquemada himself, heating pads, ice bags .. etc, etc .. and those visits by Astrid get expensive ..

In fact, I believe I kept my Chiropractor in Vegas Vacations for quite a few years ..

My mouse has hovered over an Inversion unit a few times as it resided in my Amazon Cart, asking me to click "Buy It Now" .. I just have not yet fully come to grips with "hanging" quite yet .. yet when I see the geezer on the infomercials hawking his unit, it's tempting .. he makes it look so easy .. and I heard it would cure shingles as well .. :)

Dude's last name is "Teeter" - really? And it's called "Teeter's Hang Ups" or something. I can't get past all of that to consider buying one.

Now if The Sharper Image came out with one called the InversaMaster 7000 and it had bluetooth... :p

Bbbbutttt.... the PMHCRIGBYSOLEDECUTTMOYWPV has such an easy acronym, how can you possibly pass it up??

And I understand FT already has the clone out, at half the price :w00t:

Sure hope they get that hover over option for abbreviations and acronyms working again...

Dudes been making them for almost 50 years and they have a hell of a guarantee. Name means nothing. Quality of product is all that really counts. :pervy:

it would cost 10x the amt for essentially the same thing, but...you'd buy it???

Have you checked the pricing on those Teeter'sTotter's? You know it's a.... really not good sign when they never mention a price in an infomercial.

newp, been afraid to for that very reason! But I have seen sharper image catalogs. Not for many years, but back then it seemed like everything was very pricey. correct or not, I have an image in my mind of sharper image being for folks that literally don't know what do with all their money. lol

Iffy suggested setting a time we could meet. I would sure do that if I was awake, and didn't forget. lol

OK, if we're gonna do a mass porch Google gathering, how 'bout on 5/5/15 'round post-supper time, say 'bout 7:55 - 10:55 EST. Gotta get our PST 'rockers' into dis.

TBH, I'm a total n00b wid da vid capability we have access to. But, I'll gladly remove my 'puter' camera 'mask' in order to repeat my first experience wid BB! Actually, it's a hoot.

Keep in mind, chances are dat dis is da closest we'll ever to be able to experience a 'face-to-face' gathering due to mileage! It's ever so easy to be entranced by porch words. But I've never been disappointed with da 'face-to-face' contacts! For some, hopefully many, just stop and think of receiving a 'like', porch PM or email dat draws ya closer to our 'family . Da rewards and appreciation is uncalculable. Dis would be a daring and rewarding next step fer da reluctant!

Please don't be concerned 'bout appearance! Our genre is quite knowledgeable of our age and yesteryears. But to 'share' is priceless!

OK, who's in...?
