I can't participate, but I think there is more richness to the conversation here since you started meeting in the hangout.
I agree - it is as close to in person as we will probably ever get and wish you could be there also. I like the fact that many the first time they see someone they say - hmmm, not what I envisioned (I had that comment from almost everyone - kind of wish one of them was an artist so I could see what they envisioned).
Even if only a voice it adds to the closeness, but a picture is like a thousand posts in one moment - priceless...
Oh, and we gotta figure out how to fix that. Time for an upgrade.

Bah, humbug! It's Tuesday to me. Monday is my Friday. All backwards!
Oh, one of my favorite jobs was one where I worked the weekends and how mid week off - I had the whole town to myself when I went out and about and missed the weekend traffic - it was great.
I've only visited the Hangout one time and truly enjoyed it! Last night I was too sleepy, and tonight is dinner with friends, although I may be able to make it later on around 9enish or a bit later.......ummmmm.....maybe so!
I work late in the day. That's more of an issue than the specific days off.
I was so excited when the Chat was scheduled for a Tuesday, my day off. Then I didn't make it after all. Very disappointed.

I hope my feelings about that aren't a downer. A lot of people remember their high school days fondly, but I'm like: well, I did manage to survive them.
Sometimes I think there are a lot more people who see high school as a wonderful experience in retrospect than who saw it as a wonderful experience at the time. My memories of the struggles and failures are just as clear as my memories of the joys and triumphs.

I think most of us tend to gloss over the past, and tend to remember the good times more than the bad. Not that we forget the bad, but those times seem to show up more as "incidents" than as "times." The trials and tribulations leading up to the "incident" become blurred, forgotten. And most of the past is often viewed through those (in)famous rose tinted glasses. (Lined trifocals, in my case

After extensive (non-existent) trouble-shooting and analysis, I reached the following scientific conclusion: my connection finked out due to slowness.
I checked my connection speed just now at Speed Test - HTML5 Internet Speed Test – Any Device by Bandwidth Place and my upload and download speeds are both twice as fast as they were last night, although neither is as high as most others who join the Hangout.
So I'm in the Hangout right now if anyone would like to join me.
I took a pic of myself in the Hangout just now. The hat is a tad small, might be restricting blood flow to my brain.
The rear brim of the hat enters my left temple. Can't be good for blood flow.Not too small, just too short.OTOH, maybe you don't want to appear any taller than you are.
About 20 years ago I bought myself such a cat hat, at the NC State Fair I think. Maybe I'll find it when I get around to cleaning my master bedroom, which is currently a store-all junk pile.

Oh and I agree about the no lines. After wearing them for a while I tried some lined ones and I couldn't hardly walk.
