What other possible reason to watch than because of the wrecks?
Sort of like going to the fights and having a hockey game break out...
Or go to the fights and watch one of the fighters stay on his bicycle backpedaling most of the fight.
Yipes, yeah, bear bait isn't good. Don't want em bein drawn to the house anymore than they may already be.
Hehehe dunno if it's true, but years ago a male friend of mine told me he'd gotten a Mother's day card from his ex.......said happy mother's day to a real mother.
It certainly wouldn't hurt for folks to be on the lookout, but whenever I've been there, which is most every day, we've only hit 10 people twice, and that was very briefly. I have meant to, but keep forgetting to check the thread when I'm in there to see if anyone posted that they would like to join. We need to make sure that folks from other countries can do it for free as well as the US. Was great talkin to Wolf!! He and I talked for a long time after everyone left.
oh.....and thanks for all the mother's day wishes. Put mine on before I went to bed, cuz I knew it would be essentially over by the time I got up lol
Noticed something interesting in the thread tonight. The last two nights and on the thread we had discussion on whether or not the hangout was decreasing the post count here - so I decided to check over the last 3 days and see what we had. Using the estimated time reference of 7:30pm from one day to the next I found that in the last 24 hours we have had approximately 70 posts - hmmm - definitely a drop, but it is Mothers Day - so okay.
Now what do you think I found when I checked the two previous days... Would you believer over 100 (yes); would you believe over 110 (yes?), would you believe over 120 (yes??), would you believe over 140 (yes believe it)...
Now do not gasp and be in dismay - a lot of it has been increased Good Mornings and a bunch of short quippy jokes going back and forth. Easily skimmed and absorbed, but still impressive...

We know that we are talking to real human beings. It only makes it better. Now, if only we had a good voice-to-text converter, I would be happy with this computer. I have been gently informed that I will have to get a new computer before everything goes catterwompus. This aged machine is on its last legs, and is not worth repairing.

So, 7 pages on the back porch and over 4 on the front - we are a gabby bunch aren't we...
I had plans on going in the chat tonight, but I'm so dang tired again, so hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to join you guys!
Much closer to day's end than beginning, but not too late. Happy Mother's Day to all moms in any capacity! I miss my mom too, though I see her in every Cardinal that lands on the deck railing -- and I suspect she sees me, as well . How fortunate we are to have had mothers whom we miss!

Eveining everyone - we just finished a late Mother's day dinner. I offer to take Janet out but - nope - she was set on making her own pork roast. And yumm - it was good.
BTW - here's a live cam of a hummingbird nest w/ 2 little ones. I don't know the actual location but it's still daylight there now and you can see them.
