Can't think of better news to come home to! Congratulations Matt!!!!!

We had a fantastic trip! My pastor's wife was teaching in a Bible school about children's ministry and I halped! I taught dramas and balloon animals (which they've never seen). It was such an incredible time of encouraging them to reach out to the kiddos. We did an outreach to a local neighborhood and had about 100 kids show up. We did face painting and balloon animals.

I have been to several third world countries and quite frankly, they all look sorta the same. The people look a little different and the writing on the buildings is different, but otherwise, very similar. I noticed one huge difference: the Ethiopian people are incredibly loving towards each other. It is not unusual to see a couple of guys standing around talking with their arm draped around the other one's neck or to see women walking arm in arm. They all greet each other with a hug and a peck on the cheek...or three!

The food was interesting. Unfortunately, we didn't get much variety, so it got a little boring after the first week. Their coffee was amazing!!! We went to several coffee ceremonies and I brought back about 7 pounds of coffee!

Germany was awesome! I spent a couple of days visiting a girl I used to disciple. I was supposed to take the train to meet her, but they were on strike. Her and her husband picked me up at the airport and drove me through the country driving 95 on the autobahn! It was incredible visiting places built in the 1700-1800's. I got to visit the tallest church in the world - wow! The stained glass was breathtaking! It was too dark inside for decent photos, but here's one I found on the internet:

These panels are just about floor to ceiling, wall to wall! Just...WOW!

I'll be spending the next couple of days catching up on sleep! Glad to have hot water again!
Welcome home, Sushi! So happy your trip was so successful! It all sounds awesome!

Popping in just for a second. Two crazy days, with yet another to follow! Hope everyone is in great spirits :)

@Kenna , the new run of CLR just hit!
I saw that! I hoping there's a bottle left for me when I get paid next month! There is a shop not too far away that carries it, but they charge 40.00 a bottle, which just irks me to no end. I'd rather buy with the rest of my order from somewhere else & pay shipping than patronize a place that overcharges like that.

I would bet money that statistically there are no more instances of snatching, perves, etc. than there was back then. The only difference is that everybody hears everything about anything instantly. Now we here about abductions quite often but don't take into account that the instances may be a probably are half way around the world from each other. In other words the only real difference is that nobody seems to know anybody anymore. Most people don't even know their next door neighbors anymore. I couldn't pass gas without my mother hearing about it within 15 minutes.

I think the number of instances is probably up, but the percentage per 100 (or pick a number) is probably the same. So similar number per 100 population, but now we have 1000 to pick from, so more instances.

And the dissemination of the data, yeah, it's a whole new world. And like all change, both good and bad in it. :2c:

Sushi, so glad you're back and it sounds like you had a fantastic time! What memories to cherish!

It's been a busy day and night and we have Miles tomorrow. At least I got caught up here tonight, but it's time for bed.

I gotta say, with all the activity going on here lately, it sure is nice having the iStick 50W. I just have to fill the tank and off I go! They just keep going like the energizer bunny for days until I have to recharge.

Kenna, was it you who was talking about the Organic, Unfiltered, Apple Cider Vinegar? You make a tea with it and honey? How much do you use in a mug of tea?

I do it 2x a day in an 8ox glass, with 2 tbsps of vinegar, (Braggs), & a 1/2 tbsp on honey in warm water so the honey will dissolve, & add ice. I might drop in a sliced strawberry, or some lemon juice which is also very good over ice. Drink it down. If you do it warm, in a mug, nuke it for a few seconds after the mix is together & sip it warm. I'm used to it, so you might start with 1 tbsp of vinegar & less honey til you get used to the taste. You'll definately notice results in 2-3 weeks fi not sooner. Just be faithful with it 2 x a day. It really helps your digestive system & reflux, so food absorbs better. It cleans out all the bad bacteria. & helps normalize your digestive system. I'm used to it now, & can add strawberries & leemon, or lemon & ground fresh ginger, which makes a nice all day drink to just sip on like tea or lemonade. You might add yogurt to replace the bad bacteria that is leaving with the good stuff that stays. Doesn't have to be Activia, just a good yogurt wih live cultures. It's wonderful stuff! I have diverticulitis & it's helped with that too.
