Nah. Maybe we should suggest it to the powers that be. I'm sure this high falooting new software supports that function.
The donuts aren't as good as they used to be. Not enough cinnamon and cheaper sugar. Of course nothing is as good anymore. I'd suggest the hangout but, it's too loud and would wake up the dog and Doree both.

with the way the rooms are situated here, it really doesn't bother other folks. Specially my sil .... her 02 concentrater knocks out a lot of noise for her
She's already threatening to go upstairs and watch TV in the evenings because of my volume in the evenings and that's with the computer in the dining room and her in the living room. Oh well I need to get new hearing aids. I don't wear the ones I have cause the right one doesn't work.
Open floor plan is wonderful for most times but, sux for privacy. Privacy isn't as important for her as it is for me. 20 years of shipboard life in the Navy will do that. Absolutely no privacy on ship.
And your right about the soundproof room but that ain't going to happen either. Moving into MIL's townhouse. Lots of positives, #1 being it's paid for but, too small and open for soundproofing too.
Jup, I'm alone a lot, but have NO privacy. she and I share a room, it's also where the bathroom is. I usually sit in the living room alone, but she's not far, we don't see each other a lot, but either can easily hear anything the other does or says. Closest we get to privacy is sleeping at different times.
Have to ask cause sometimes it don't seem like it,.. Do you guys get along with each other ok? Personal I know but just wondering. Do answer if you don't want.
We get along great, there are just other reasons that I really hate living here, so that's probably what you're picking up on.
Could be. Just being nosey I guess. Let's petition the powers that to install that chat function. Just a button on everybody's ID section that says chat and when you push it it opens a chat window on both computers. What do think?
A lot of the bullshooting posts could easily be handled in a small chat window. Of course some if the stuff would take away from the forum function, like links to a new juice or such.
Do they work like chat rooms. I'm going to start one with you and we can try it out. Maybe we don't have to refresh.
