I can't take benadryl at night. It works opposite on me. Wires me up. Can't sleep, mind buzzes and body tingles. Day is OK, I can deal with it, but I can't take most over the counter sleep aids or allergy meds cuz it just makes me worse. I know, I am kinda wierd.

Perhaps some hangout time tomorrow??? Cuz I will be back on restriction come Sunday. Just tired tonight.

Meclizine, used for motion sickness, is also an antihistamine, and makes me drowsy. Benadryl is only for occasional use, otherwise it can backfire on you.

I have the same indiosyncratic reaction to Benedryl. Totally wires me out. Have you tried Melatonin? Take for a couple of weeks to get it in your system and you will see the difference. And it comes in gummies Nature Made Melatonin
