I have purchased cables very inexpensive at monoprice.com. US based and fast shipping, but you do have to know what you are looking for.
Big fan of Monoprice. My whole home theater is wired with stuff from them. Great prices and really quality stuff. I have noticed lately that they're prices seem to be going up a little now that they're getting a good reputation. :w00t:

Evening Fran - more like Good Night time - Yikes, I've got to get up at 3:45am to take my son to the airport. Maybe I should just stay up chatting on the porch and/or the hangout.

That's it. Now I remember what it is. He's a real 'FAL' addict ... has about 17 of 'em ... most he built himself. Also a few parrots that are his pride and joy.

Though he technically isn't married, he is attached for quite awhile to his lady friend.

Howdy Bruce! Feel like comin in to the video chat? I'm there right now, but Gracie will be back in a bit

Wish I could! One of these days I am going to upgrade this very old laptop to something that is capable of doing something besides being a poor calculator an an even poorer excuse for a computer! It would be so nice to have a decent OS, this one is only a couple of steps above DOS.

Over the years, we've always had a Memorial Day tribute, Veterans Day tribute, etc .. however, personally, I thought yesterdays tribute was the best we've had .. so moving, with the personal stories and the graphics folks presented it was just great .. so thanks from me to all that contributed in any way ..

When Metal posted his rifle related material, I was tempted to post a pic of my "Expert Marksman" Rifle and Pistol emblem from a time long ago .. and Janet, you were quite serious looking on the range with that large weapon .. ;) .. also, I had wanted to say in an earlier post (I forgot) .. if I live long enough, Miles could be a candidate for that Apprentice slot .. I'm sure he'd make a good one ..

And lastly, to my old friend Yiddle .. it is so nice to have you back and I really hope you stay .. and I still want to know how I can get one of your mixed media sculptures to add to my display .. on the first visit I had to Deb's Place (Hangout) I showed some of my collection so I do, in fact, have a display and one of yours would fit in nicely .. :)

Please do post them. A lot of the instructors I've learned from got their start in the military.

And the posts over the weekend were amazing. Nothing I could possibly add so I just hit the like button. AFAIK, my dad was an MP stateside during Vietnam. There is an old photo of him, I guess their "official" arranged photo, and he was not a happy camper judging by the look on his face. I asked him about his mood at the time when I was a kid and he said they were given about 5 minutes to get ready for the pic. IDK, but I think he got out when his time was up. We never really talked about it and he was killed on the job working for Occidental Chemical when I was 15.

Oh my, to survive Nam and then loose his life home on the job? How awful, I am so sorry Metal. Thank you for sharing. Someone please post a hug from me.
Cath, I think the point was that dad didn't go to Nam and possibly regretted it.

Metal don't worry, your father did his part, even by staying stateside. It was a horrible war that took many a patriotic young man's life. Your father was lucky that his duty kept him here. I've seen war and it ain't pretty.

We spent the day with Miles. A nice day but this little guy just does not like to sleep. A couple 10 minute catnaps was all he did today. Maybe he doesn't need his afternoon nap sleep but Pop-pop sure does.

Yikes - a busy day on the porch took all evening to catch up.
