My back and joints will NOT be fooled!!! The weatherman said the rain was done with us for awhile.....but I knew better!! Jup.......it just started raining!!

Yes, it was not directed at me personally, and I don't take things on a forum like this (or anywhere else for that matter) personally, AND the so called "accuser" is a friend of mine. I just fluffed it off at first, til I thought about it. Just got kinda urked that people think things like that. I do KNOW the "accuser" did not mean to imply I would do something like that, but thanks for letting me vent

A very Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I wasn't lucky enough to have my own children but, did have custody of a friend's daughter from right before her 14th birthday until she was 21 so I am familiar with some of the trials and tribulations. At the time. I learned why God made babies so darn cute. It's so you won't kill them as teenagers. There might be something to be said for retroactive abortion till the age of 21 . I love her to death even now but, it was a difficult thing. Her mother had terrible taste in men and liked the party life way too much so the judge thought it was the best that he give her to us for a while which turned out to be longer than anticipated. Mom has straightened out and we are still great friends.
My father passed at 67, also way too young. It was probably 35 years or so ago. I miss him everyday and wish he was still here to talk to for advice. He was a truly good man. Brusque on the outside and tender and loving on the inside. Happy Father's Day, I love you Dad.

Jup!! It's amazing how great it's been for some of us. There are some I was close to before, but some I've gotten much closer to with being able to actually talk to them and getting to know them better!
Aw, Deb, don't you wish we didn't need joints? But then we'd be like Harry Potter's arm when the phoney Wizard Professor fixed his broken arm by zapping the entire bone away. Huge floppy slugs! I've been in full blown flareup for 3 days now, but not because of the weather. This is all stress triggered. My sister came over yesterday & took Mom out to lunch & to the grocery store, so I got a little break. I really hope she does this at least once a month.
From when I went to Vegas in 2012. Took three years after getting a passport to be ok with travelling in a plane for 13+ hours.
Passport of which I had put off getting for years in the first place.
Done plenty of flights around Australia but they're only four or so hours.

I've never had a passport. Only time I was out of the country, was when we went to Niagra falls, we went to the Canadian side to look at the lights since folks said there was a better view from that side. We were there bout an hour. lol But did you say you were planning a trip to the states somewhat soon, or did I make that up?

I will never get over that today you can buy a 1 terabyte hard drive for a little over $50. I can still remember paying $150 for a 5 megabyte hard drive and thought I was kicking it with that mass storage capability.
Im always "thinking" about a trip back there.
For most things I take a long time to get around to actually doing it or most things.
Also thoughts and such enter my head all the time which can be a distraction.
Should I go to NY or again to Vegas , hmm seven other states/cities seem good , oh what about Japan , London.

Yea, and nowadays they are talking Terabytes - I wonder how long it will take to break into the next threshold? Can you imagine a Petabyte thumb drive...

Uhmmm....Texas of course!! lol I've always wanted to go to Japan. Have a good friend from HS who lives there. We still keep in touch, although not as often as we once did.
