Good evening - or morning depending where you are. Dancing - so sorry to hear that you are in the hospital - sending lots of prayers for a successful surgery tomorrow. Roto - also praying for you and your Dad - I sure hope they find what is wrong and get him fixed up. Hoping you look after yourself too.

Diver - wow that must have been a bad fall - I still struggle from one herniated disc - can't even imagine dealing with 4 plus the lumbar tears. Look after yourself too. My back is complaining pretty good the last few days too - but I just have to deal with it by using pain relieving cream or heat/ice. Can't take over the counter pain medication (Aleve, Motrin etc.) that stuff upsets my stomach so bad now that it just isn't worth it.

The reason for my back acting up - on Tuesday when getting out of the shower the door came out of the pivot and crashed into the vanity - completely shattered all the glass in the door. Fortunately my husband was home and not off golfing. I guess I scared him - he thought I fell.

Anyway - since neither of us are too handy when it comes to this kind of repair - it took numerous trips to home depot and the rest of the week to get a new door and install it. Didn't help that the one that broke was 25 yrs. old - so a completely different door - but it is now installed. Been using the downstairs shower so haven't tried it yet - so I sure hope it doesn't leak.

The good news this week - I got my new black Kanger Subtank mini - I have been wanting a new regulated device with a replaceable battery - since both my eVic and VTR are starting to show their age. I know that the latest and greatest are the Temp Control devices - but after reading thru the Subtank Mini thread and the eVic Temp Control - I decided to go with the Subtank mini for now since it has a replaceable battery.

So far I have just been using the 1.5 ohm coil and it is working pretty good. After the second fill of the tank - it was leaking a bit around the airflow control. Not a lot - but enough. Once the tank was almost empty - I washed it all out and let it dry out for 24 hrs. Just filled it 1/2 hr. ago and so far doesn't appear to be leaking. Not sure when I will get around to trying the RBA - since this is my first one ever. All I have ever build coils for are the Protank/Evods so I need to watch some videos and have some time to play with it.

Seapeach - good to see you. I am sure I am missing more - but I will have to catch you next time. I will be busy again this week - have to stain the deck and get ready for company later in the week. Hope everyone else has a good rest of the week.

Tell her there's lots more on the way!
I hope I won't be talkin to her again before the surgery, but only cuz I hope she sleeps til they come wake her to shower. But if she wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to talk to be sure to call me.

oh goodness, so glad you didn't fall!!!! I'm always nervous about falling in the shower!

Yes - I am glad too that I didn't fall - also that I escaped all the broken glass without getting cut. Someone was definitely looking out for me. So - while my back is complaining - it is just from over use and awkward positions. Probably I would be much worse shape if I fell.

With FT I have to order, then cancel to change the address to here. Well, last order I cancelled, changed the address and... nothing. So requested a refund... nothing. Been a month.
Logon, hover over your name and go to the tickets section... sometimes, I didn't get the message that I had a ticket in.

with Fasttech, also check your "gift certificates". I requested a refund on something that arrived broken and they issued a "gift certificate". When I checked, I had several!! My last order only cost me $3 because I cashed them in.

Also, my orders from FT usually only take about 2 weeks from ship date. Have one right now for replacement parts that arrived damaged (their dime for the shipping) that got to NY and went back to China! It is on it's way back to NY. I usually order and forget it. Check the shipping occasionally, and when it arrives, it arrives. I have had very good luck with their Customer Support.

Good Morning hugs to everyone. Still at dad's and still happy as a fart.

We go to the cardiologist this morning and I am expecting a great report. He is just back 100%. I'm just here because. . . I want to be.

Nick Arnstein, from Funny Girl.

You and me both. Love that movie.

porch girls gave me a great idea i hung a black shower curtain up on my patio door to block out the light since i sleep days a lot :) thanks girls

I have to have my room dark to sleep so at home I put black contact paper over my bedroom windows. I have to turn on a light to go in there. At daddy's, there is no way he would ever let me do that so I use the sleep mask and it works beautifully. There is always a way. . .

I have 4 herniated disc and 2 tears in my lumbar. Pain is my life.

Bless your heart big time. I only have one so I'm not going to complain anymore. (yes I probably will

, but only because it makes me feel better)

Remember you have your own health concern-- don't forget to take that to your doctor.

That is exactly what I was going to say. In tough times, it is so hard to remember this. But we love you Roto, so we are reminding you.

Good Morning, good people, and it IS indeed a good morning! Prayer works! Yesterday afternoon, the scope revealed that there was a large, deep, inflamed ulcer in the bottom of Dad's stomach. It is sitting right on top of a blood vessel, hence the blood loss. They are going to treat him, and he should be all right. How he never felt anything more than nausea is beyond me, but it is what it is. Call me selfish, but I'm not quite ready to be an orphan yet.

Ok, talked to Dancin at 5 am, and then again just a few minutes ago. Her surgery is scheduled for 7:30 in the morning. She's gonna have her daughter call me after the surgery. She's feeling much better about it than she was. She's being well cared for, so that has eased some anxiety. She's had a few days to wrap her head around it. She did find out that it would be open heart where they crack her sternum, so a much longer recovery time. Of course she's worried about them having just moved into the more expensive apt and her being off work for probably at least two months, but I told her not to worry about that. Hopefully she can at least get some temporary unemployment and other stuff to help. her bed is real low to the floor so her son is getting that fixed up for her and getting some other aids for the shower, potty etc so that will be a huge help. None of her grandkids are itty bitty so they should be able to help her some as well. Told her once she's home to have a pouch for her cell phone to wear around her neck or have in pocket or something, she's not to be anywhere without that phone just in case.
She did watch some movies of folks that have the same procedure, and it helped a lot them telling her what to expect. Her imagination was likely worse than reality. She really appreciates everyone's prayers and concern, it means so much to her.

Thanks for the update ... next time you talk w/ her, let her know we're all pulling for her.

Yup. Been using them for a while. Never had a problem changing the address before but this time... no luck. So requested a refund since they do give you a choice.
And did check the gift certs the next day. One there. But doesn't work. It does say refunds take from 1 to 30 days!

Glad you're happy there, and hope you continue to stay as long as YOU want!!

Jup, I do each time, and she really appreciates it! Won't talk to her probably for a few days, but she asked her daughter to call me after the surgery so I can let everyone know. Told her I know her daughter has family to update, so I appreciate her taking the time to call me, cuz I have "family" to update also! :) Her daughter thinks all her "online friends are cute" hehehe Kinda like when we'd look at our kids and say awww isn't that cute. Full circle y'all!!

Roto, wasn't leavin you out, just had talked to ya bout the ulcer in the h/o. so happy it wasn't something more serious! Hope he's back to himself in no time

Appreciate the updates, Deb. She's been on my mind!

Regarding FT...

I've ordered from them maybe 4 - 5 times over the last couple years, and have not had any problems. One does need to be very careful reading descriptions - some things are "authentic" and some are not. The shipping seems to be quicker and more consistent than it was. Haven't had to deal with their customer service.
I've had one issue since I've been ordering from F/T, and that was taken care of promptly.
The shipping has improved a lot, and as long as I order 'authentic', all is well!

Was glad to see you last night feeling a bit relieved! I would never call you selfish for wanting to have your parent(s) around. I have both of mine very close to me in spirit!

That's AWESOME Roto!!!! So glad to hear it. Will continue to pray for you and your dad!

We had a really bad ice storm about 5 years ago and I fell in my driveway. I have 4 herniated disc and 2 tears in my lumbar. Pain is my life.

Diver - wow that must have been a bad fall - I still struggle from one herniated disc - can't even imagine dealing with 4 plus the lumbar tears. Look after yourself too. My brother had a herniated disk. He had out-patient surgery, they made a small incision and went in and shaved it off. He feels great! Too good...he's supposed to take it easy for a couple of months but keeps forgetting because he feels so good. Maybe that's an option for you guys?

You guys have got to check this out. It's 360 degree video on YouTube. I don't know if it works in other browsers but, run fine in Chrome. There is a little Left/Right/Up/Down arrow thingy in the top left corner. Click on the arrows to change the direction you're looking at. Really cool. This one is the Swiss F5 Demo Team but search around, there are quite a few more.

Thanks for posting the video, I always enjoy watching the small fighter jets. The first 10 years in the navy I was a parachute rigger. I actually managed to get some stick time in a couple of the trainer jets for part runs.

My brother had a herniated disk. He had out-patient surgery, they made a small incision and went in and shaved it off. He feels great! Too good...he's supposed to take it easy for a couple of months but keeps forgetting because he feels so good. Maybe that's an option for you guys?
I have too much damage to safely go in and fuse the area. Too much of a chance of paralysis and other complications.

I had something similar to garyoa1 problem. FT said they would only credit me on next order. Did not happen the next order. This came about after a couple of weeks of emails (restating the problem and justifying over and over) etc... and no credit that was ever confirmed/clearly indicated although they finally realized I was in the right.
Only a few bucks, but its the principle.
Word to the wise, if you can afford to gamble and place an order and maybe get or not get what you want, go for it. Just keep the order dollar amount down so it does not hurt financially or vape wise. It can be a hit or miss type of FT acquisition. I have received a few items that actually were delivered as expected from FT. You might want to remember that FT may have a language problem when it comes to refunding/crediting ANY mistakes.
MikeE3 --Best of luck. It looks like you have thought over the consequences.
garyoa1 -- More best of luck, you will really need it.
I actually have had no problems with FT. A little slow (relative term) but I have always gotten what I ordered and never had a problem with returns. I guess it's consistency that they have a problem with. I also have my ordering specifics on file with them, we'll see how it goes once we move and I have to change some of the on file information.

That is great news. See, prayer works and when you get all of us on it, it REALLY works. Seriously great news and I will continue to keep you both in my prayers.

I use room darkening shades in our bedroom. I would completely cover the windows but Doree would have a fit. She likes light everywhere during the daytime. After 20 years in the Navy and living in berthing compartments that where totally (and i mean TOTALLY) dark, I like it really dark when I am trying to sleep. Have gotten somewhat used to it since I retired but, still prefer total darkness.
