Good Morning All! Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I have no words to describe this community and the fellowship that is evident here every day. God always leads me where I need to be.

My father was admitted to the hospital last night. He appears to be doing well, but the doctor wants to see his blood work results. We shall see. My daughter and I will be going up to the hospital later this morning.

I slept fitfully at best, and I'm sure I should still be in bed, but oh well, here I am. I'm sure I'll probably crash hard some time this afternoon once I see what's up with my father.

In spite of all this, I'm keeping in prayer our other friends here on the porches who are going through things right now also. I'm thinking of amoret, Dancing Heretik, and forgive me if I missed anybody else.

At the convention I'm at, a Chinese company is demonstration a 3-D printer and plans that can be used to reproduce an electric guitar in various shapes and configurations .. although it is a bit more complicated, in that it requires assembly and some metal parts, it's quite the crowd draw ..

The tech marches on, and I see another shred of what I have spent a lifetime learning being supplanted by another machine .. from what I can see, the evolution of this tech, the ability to improve speed, the larger, industrial applications which will eventually happen, is probably without limit ..

Then I am told folks are using the tech for weapons already .. what a World ..
yeah... and on thingiverse last nite, I saw someone snuk in an "adult" item and called it an "A-Plug"
but.
...
<hehehe>

um... however.
3D printed guitars are definitely NOT what you make. Just a new and wonderful twist.

then there are 3D hands for nice kids that could not afford them
Watch Iron Man hand-deliver a child's 3D-printed, bionic arm and try not tear up | Polygon
and hope for all generations

Yeah... I'm a little gaga on the 3D printing. :D

Good morning everybody. I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. While I have been writing. I can't sit at the puter more than a couple of hours at a time. I scan through the feeds (and laugh a lot), but i haven't written much. Blessings to all who are struggling right now.

But what does a plastic guitar sound like???

Actually, most tech advances are driven by conflict, aren't they? Without the research into, say, the atom bomb, we'd not have the peaceful uses, from power (yea, there are 2 sides to that, too!) to medical uses. GPS. Heck, even the Internet was a DARPA project...

Runamok...JJ is my very favorite!! As sorta plain looking as she was, she was also one of the sexist women on the planet!
Her real-life story is sad, but dang did she overcome it!
I love JJ. and her real life allowed her to sing from Her heart. She put more feeling in her music then most of modern singers and didn't have to resort to scandal to sell her music. Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Carly Simon, Mama Cass, Grace. They sang from the heart and they're songs will always touch the soul.
you can't sing "Take a piece of my heart" or "Bobby Mc Gee" or the blues without living that. I've loved music long enough to know who feels they're music vs. those who're just trying to make a buck.
Willie can tell you who they are! He's been there too.

Good morning, fellow porchers. I have worked in my yard the last couple days and my body is telling me I did way too much this morning. I've been up for 3 hours and already on my 2nd pill. I should know not to over-do. Oh well, life happens.

You're not like my mum are you with the pain.
" My hand really hurts after Ive been using it all day"
Well your not meant to be moving it , it will just take longer and longer to get better.
She's got arthritis in the hands but recently injured a thumb.
Offered to buy her a brace to immobilise the thumb but she said she was going to the hospital and they would have one.
She came back with no brace probably didn't even mention it.

The story of my life, and I'm getting ready to do it today.
