I demand my 13 seconds back!

Probably better than 'hallway seex'...

Older couple passing each other in hallway while retiring to their respective bedrooms:

W - "Eff you!
H - "Well, eff you too!!"
One of my favorite jokes.

It was yesterday, Deb. It went well. They wanted 13 vials of blood, a tb test. 3 sticks later & barely getting the blood they needed, they sent a couple of blocks for a chest xray. I go back Monday so they can read the tb test. When the lab results comeback i'll get a call for a appointment to go somewhere else for something else. So it's going to be a little longer than I thought before I get the actual infusion. I did get more info. I'm one for 48 people in the world to get this. We are divided into 2 groups. The first group has already gone thru & got 100K stem cells. The 2people my Dr sent thru had some good results but not great. My group is getting twice the # of stem cells, so 200K. It's not a stem cell transplant like most people think of. They do it by infusion, the cells are programmed for the immune system. Object is to target & reduce or eliminate inflamation & somewhat repair damage to joints. They have no clue how much it will work, if at all, or how long it will last. Could be a month, could be forever.

Count me in as a vote for 'forever'! :) :)

ok, i'm outta here for awhile. gotta go do some stuffs. Will probably be back on later tonite.

Oh, and I'm just now taking a break from re-organizing all my vape stuff...

We have made major progress in getting this place ready to move into. I have hauled tons of stuff to Goodwill and finally got the security system installed. Well about 75% installed. Still have the outside cameras and the Internet connection to do and then done. I would have finished it but it's damn near 100 degrees outside about 98% humidity. I don't even want to take the dog out.

This is a general "about me"

I am old darn it, (46) set in my ways. But not so much so that I do not invite change from time to time once I weigh my options and give full consideration.

I LOVE graphic design. Its wonderful, and often I get very one track minded. I took a three day break from a project that I will have to get back to (but I needed the breather!) but once I get back into it I often forget most everything else.

Someone last week asked my husband how I was doing and where I had been, and he replied, "she is chained to an installation of Photoshop, but doing well".. lol.. that is me.

So if I pop out and you don't see me for a week or two, no worries I am just chained up! hahaha

I am the original tightwad (one of the things my husband loves about me! HA!) and the older I get the worse it gets.. maybe I need a 12 step program to help me spend money! hahaha.. unusual for a woman my husband thinks, but its my role in life, what I am good at!

I love to cook, and spend time with family, go hiking, do photography, and all manner of other things! I am me, and my name is Chris..

Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome Opinionated. Pull up a rocker and set a while. I too am a Graphic Designer. I was Professionally employed for 20 years and now am mostly retired but, I still have my Mac with the whole creative suite but stopped updating after Adobe forced us into "subscription". F that! They got enough of my money over the years.

Hey nice to meet you. I am new to graphics design, spent my life either owning my own business, or in business management, then to E-commerce management.. then my husband wanted to come back home, to the mountains where he was raised - and we moved.

Here jobs are scarce, and I am a bit on the over-qualified side for most available employment here apparently. (I was actually told this - even though I cannot think as to why I would be overqualified to make money in any sense - I am never too good for an income!) but this is where I find myself..

I had all the photoshop set up and all this free time, and I had been playing around in photoshop anyway, so I decided to use my time wisely and perfect some skills - I love it anyway, so why not? And this is where I am at.

As a business oriented person anyway, I have a business plan already mapped out - but I feel I need to improve still, so I am planning on waiting for another year to start my own graphics design company. In the meantime, I am entering various contests and doing as much as possible in it, so that I become ubber great..

then I will enact my business plan, and off I will go. With an average of 2 - 3 years to build a customer base, I am the poor child. Hubby loves supporting me though - I don't think he has ever been happier than he is right now..

he actually looked at me the other day and said he missed the pitter patter of little feet and perhaps we could get pregnant again.. hahahaha.. He is so silly, he just likes me being here and is looking for excuses, not that I blame him this is kind of fun!

But yeah, the whole subscription thing to Adobe is ridiculous - on that I do agree!

Welcome to the Back Porch, Chris! Pull up a rocker, recliner, or hammock and make yourself comfortable.

How long have you been vaping, and what setup do you use?

Thanks for the welcome! As far as how long I have been vaping and the entirety of my set up (slim slim) I have posted in the front porch section - so as not to reiterate.

But I quit smoking a year ago, use an ego right now, been vaping all year and loving it! :)

Yeah, the Adobe rent me plan only makes sense to Adobe. :/
Yeah.. when they came up with that bright idea it was enough to make you want to give up adobe period.. but then, not much else equals it in the areas that Photoshop is great in.. so you end up kinda stuck.

The messed up factor is going to come in when Microsoft does it.. and they are about to. Photoshop to my knowledge does not run on Linux and this is going to create a huge issue - because I plan on boycotting microsoft at that point.

Well tough to give it up but I'm stickin with my CS6 suite. Since they started to rip us off they haven't really come up with anything to make an upgrade worth while IMO. Then again, since everyone is locked in, they don't have to.

Yeah Adobe started it, everyone will likely go that way since it's working for them. Linux I think you're stuck with the gimp. Good program but compared to PS... no contest.

I know and that rather has me worried to be honest. :(

Well, nice talking to everyone, nice to meet everyone.. but I am off for the evening.. take good care.

Welcome Chris -
since you already know about the Front Porch - that is great - the Back Porch is our open get to know each other side. Almost any topic you can imagine we have discussed and we are still only scratching the barrel with the realm of possibilities left to discuss. Our group has a wide range of interest and an even wider range of discussion material.
