Does Skype?
Folks in the Reo lounge checked out skype and hangouts, and hangouts was far better they said. Some said skype you have to pay to have more than 1. But I did see a vid where they added someone to a call, but you couldn't see the second person, only hear them

Deb I have to speak up for inversion. Once you get over the fear/uncomfortable feeling it's amazing. Takes all the pressure off your nerves. A lot of pain is caused by squeezing the nerves where they pass through the vertebrae from the spinal cord to the other organs/muscles. A lot of leg/knee pain is caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve. Inversion therapy helps, not cures, helps with that. After we move I think there is a Teeter Hang Up (sic) in my future. They're expensive but, like any other exercise home therapy stuff you can find them on line all over the place. As usual YMMV.

Last time I tried being upside down I thought my head would explode. How do you keep from getting all purple in the face?

I think the most I've had in one chat at one time was about 4-5. So this should be interesting. Even with just two, it's easy to talk over one another, both starting at the same time. Then everyone is quiet so they don't do it again lol

hehehe matt, that would be something to see.
Like my emoticon party?

Same here. Don't got the gear or the speed to participate.

Whatever happened to cUcMe? Now that I could probably do.
There's always Skype. All of them only requirement is a cheap webcam. Don't webcams have microphones built into them? Think so. If you have a set of computer speakers, your in. Always a good excuse to buy something you've always wanted!

Evening,Janet and Matt:)
Top 'o the evening Fran. Did you read about our setting up a group video chat on May 5th. I believe the time was 7:30 to 10:30 PM EST. In the Google + chat room we used when the forum was shut down. Great opportunity to put faces with all those names.

There are the Africanized bees down there-- I hear they are vicious. As are wasps. But generally you would be safe with the trumpet-vine, because the blooms are up high.

OTOH, people who fear bees are more likely to get stung. Can Bees Smell Fear?
Beekeepers are not afraid, so they don't get stung that often.

When I was little we had a bush with a lot of bees around it in front of the outdoor spigot. One day the postman was there and said if you just move slow and steady they won't hurt you and he proceeded to slowly put his had through the bush and turned on the spigot and never got stung. After Dad did the same thing to turn the spigot off I lost my fear of bees. The only time I've been stung is if I stepped on one or was standing next to someone who was swatting away at them.

that was good too, but I meant you demo'ing the teeter thingy
I know. I hope you realize that I would have to buy one to do that. That ain't going to happen. Can't hang enough clothes on it to make it worthwhile. Now a Bowflex, that a horse of a different color. With all the flex arm thingies you could hang your whole wardrobe on it.

they weren't hype, we had a horrible problem with them here quite a number of years ago, but not so much lately. Of course, it seems that all bees are in decline, if that's true. who knows.

Evidently, besides pesticides and people killing the honey bees, there is a virus that is decimating their numbers. Last I heard they still hadn't figured out how to stop it.

Don't know, to be honest I've never tried it. Doree says I would need a chain fall or hoist to get back out of the inverted position anyway so I guess that's out.

The guy who is building a deck for us had to have his 15 year old dog put down this week. She couldn't walk and was in pain. He was telling us about it yesterday. I felt so bad for him. From what he said, he lives alone except for his dogs.

I gave Dude some breakfast to give him this morning...not much, but I wanted to do something. I know very well the pain of losing a beloved pet.

That was a very sweet thing to do. Loosing a pet is awful and I'm sure he's going to appreciate knowing that you cared enough to do something nice for him.

You folks can have your inversion boards. I think I'll try one of these yoga cocoons.

Considering my intake since Noon of my favorite relaxant, it's a wonder I can feel anything at all ..

OK, I musta missed your 'special' invite to participate! Was it on Google?

I always figured that was the whole point .. a free style, free wheelin' exchange of random thoughts with no real consensus .. much like the Gubment .. ;)

Unfortunately, da Gubment does have a consensus...

Do all hens lay daily? I don't really know. I want eggs but will end up giving some of them away.

If they're healthy.

Nuttin' wrong wid dat!

Have a 'ramp rat' buddy dat gifts me a dozen eggs once in a while. Beats da 'droppings' outta store bought!

Get a Peacock .. they look great and are quite mellow ..

Ummm, disagree wid da latter statement.

Just tape the beak shut ..

Paging FLAMING FLAMINGO...
