Still very nice. We just had our back deck overhauled for sale. It really weird getting the whole honey do list just to move. I don't really like the solid stain look on our back deck but, the real estate agent does. As long as it sells we're good. Found out today that our next door neighbor has a girl friend that might be interested in buying it with the understanding that it won't be on sale for a couple of months.Nope - not mine. This one is, looking from the main deck to part of the back yard.

I still do. Then I use the little paperclip to link to it. After hitting "post reply" the pic pops in wherever the link was placed. So far that's working well. The other ways haven't worked well for me. Of course I'm using a tablet with the Android operating system so things are a little different.Hey Mike how do you get a large pic in now. You don't have to use photobucket anymore do you.

When I link to the Photobucket image it pops in pretty large. Here's one to check... (this one is a GIF so it might be different, we'll see)....Ok I can get this size but not the larger![]()
Another chicken question. What makes them lay eggs? Do they need to have a rooster hanging around to "put em in the mood", not necessarily to fertilize them, don't want that of course. I wouldn't think that they would just lay eggs to be laying eggs, after all cows don't just give milk for the sheer fun of it. The have a calf that's then taken away and they lactate for a couple of years as long as they are milked then they rinse and repeat.![]()

Well, if a hurricane comes to South Florida and it's not supposed to be a "finger of God" hurricane, you can always fly down and ride it out with us. They are not normally a tourist attraction for a reason. By the time you realize that you should have evacuated it's way too late for that. I've seen hurricanes that put a palm frond through a 10" telephone pole like an arrow!Actually you don't need a rooster. They do need an number of hours of daylight that I don't remember right now, but meant that I used a light on a timer all winter. Oddly enough it doesn't have to be a bright light.
I always did keep a rooster or two because it meant I could keep the flock self replicating, but lots of people in towns don't and get plenty of eggs.
They do take a month or so off every year when they molt, and if you're really unlucky they all do it at once. But really fresh eggs keep long enough to get through the time involved.
']Two things on my bucket list that I'll probably never get done now are to see a volcano eruption and a hurricane in person. I've seen blizzards ad tornados, and a moderate earthquake when I lived in California (that's still the spookiest - the ground is NOT supposed to move) and the aftermath of a massive tree blowdown in Northern Minnesota that looked like the pictures after an atomic bomb blast, but never was anywhere with hurricanes or volcanos.[/URL]
I have been through a hurricane, tornado (dug out 3 days later as a child), typhoon (several times in the Philippines), earthquakes (a few minor to moderate ones), and have seen a volcano from a distance (close as I ever want to get). They were not on my bucket list.
My bucket list is full of more peaceful ways to spend my time (LOL) at this stage in my life... Like traveling and exploring stuff. I have enjoyed mountain climbing, spelunking, deep sea diving and a few other adventures in my life, but I have mellowed now...
