Nope - not mine. This one is, looking from the main deck to part of the back yard.

Still very nice. We just had our back deck overhauled for sale. It really weird getting the whole honey do list just to move. I don't really like the solid stain look on our back deck but, the real estate agent does. As long as it sells we're good. Found out today that our next door neighbor has a girl friend that might be interested in buying it with the understanding that it won't be on sale for a couple of months.

Hey Mike how do you get a large pic in now. You don't have to use photobucket anymore do you.
I still do. Then I use the little paperclip to link to it. After hitting "post reply" the pic pops in wherever the link was placed. So far that's working well. The other ways haven't worked well for me. Of course I'm using a tablet with the Android operating system so things are a little different.

Nope does't seem that way - as long as doing the drag&drop or whatever gives you the 'full size' option.

Another chicken question. What makes them lay eggs? Do they need to have a rooster hanging around to "put em in the mood", not necessarily to fertilize them, don't want that of course. I wouldn't think that they would just lay eggs to be laying eggs, after all cows don't just give milk for the sheer fun of it. The have a calf that's then taken away and they lactate for a couple of years as long as they are milked then they rinse and repeat.

Actually you don't need a rooster. They do need an number of hours of daylight that I don't remember right now, but meant that I used a light on a timer all winter. Oddly enough it doesn't have to be a bright light.

I always did keep a rooster or two because it meant I could keep the flock self replicating, but lots of people in towns don't and get plenty of eggs.

They do take a month or so off every year when they molt, and if you're really unlucky they all do it at once. But really fresh eggs keep long enough to get through the time involved.

I stumbled across some pictures of the volcano down in Chile. Thought I would post the most amazing of the batch. Apparently the rising ash develops a static charge that discharges as some amazing lightning...

Two things on my bucket list that I'll probably never get done now are to see a volcano eruption and a hurricane in person. I've seen blizzards ad tornados, and a moderate earthquake when I lived in California (that's still the spookiest - the ground is NOT supposed to move) and the aftermath of a massive tree blowdown in Northern Minnesota that looked like the pictures after an atomic bomb blast, but never was anywhere with hurricanes or volcanos.

Well, if a hurricane comes to South Florida and it's not supposed to be a "finger of God" hurricane, you can always fly down and ride it out with us. They are not normally a tourist attraction for a reason. By the time you realize that you should have evacuated it's way too late for that. I've seen hurricanes that put a palm frond through a 10" telephone pole like an arrow!

I have been through a hurricane, tornado (dug out 3 days later as a child), typhoon (several times in the Philippines), earthquakes (a few minor to moderate ones), and have seen a volcano from a distance (close as I ever want to get). They were not on my bucket list.

My bucket list is full of more peaceful ways to spend my time (LOL) at this stage in my life... Like traveling and exploring stuff. I have enjoyed mountain climbing, spelunking, deep sea diving and a few other adventures in my life, but I have mellowed now...

What ... no alligator wresting or shark riding? ;)

Did a days worth of cliff climbing ... once ... wow! ... That was the most strenuous activity I ever did. Thank goodness we were 'belayed' in from the top the whole time ... else wise I wouldn't be here chatting w/ you folks.

Running around today helping my friend pick out furniture for her new house. The only furniture she has is for the dining room so everything else is new. How nice to pick out all new stuff!

I got my red (it's really fuscia) iStick 50W last Saturday afternoon. I've been mostly using it at 10W all week with a kayfun nano to see how long the battery lasts and just decided to give it a charge today even though it wasn't totally low. Probably could have gotten another day out of it. I'm really liking it. The rounded edges are more comfortable in my hand than the MVP and the button is on the rounded edge so it's easy to find and easy to push. No fuss, no muss. Since it will only need charging once a week I'd think it would last me a couple of years at least.

Sounds like you had a fun day Janet. Also sounds like your really enjoying the I-stick. I am using a IPV3 right now. Thing goes to 150 watts and I have never vape it above 20 watts, right now I'm vaping a Kayfun Lite V2, 1.3 ohm coil at 13 watts. Working great. I really want an SX-Mini M series. Just watched one of Busardo's review on it. Temp control got good marks. I really want to try temp control and like the looks of the SX Mini. Price and battery life are what's stopping me. $200 and it eats batteries. If it had dual batteries in series or parallel it would be different. Hopefully YiHi will sell the SX-350J chip for us hobbyists and I can build my own version.

Dropping in for a moment or two .. yes, I know I said I would not be a Thread Pest, but when I cleaned out my office a few weeks back, I ran across a box of old photos .. then, I read thru the discussion on "The Polyester Suit" .. so, yeah, I had one ...

On the Jeans Bellbottom Talk from a day or two ago .. the pinnacle of Ladies Jeans was IMO, the late 1960's early to mid 1970's .. I have always been fond of the higher waisted style with a medium bell bottom .. never really cared for the giant bell bottoms .. and todays Womens Jeans, especially the low cut variety, seem to be designed for the most unflattering look Humanly possible .. I'm sorry if I'm being offensive, but the "Muffin Top Look" .. ?? Really .. ?? Women have to be pretty slender to pull off these low cut jeans ..

And, I'll add .. I slapped myself across the forehead when I read thru the Musical Taste Discussion Jag .. people must think I'm a Dinosaur based on some of the vids I've posted over the years going back to the 1950's .. well, I am a dinosaur, I guess that explains it ..
