I've been mostly lurking lately, but after reading all the heat posts had to come in with our snow and 45 mph winds tonight. Even for North Dakota, it's a bit much. The current mess is the result of the weirdest set of fronts I've ever seen and I've been a weather geek for decades,

Amoret, that is just plumb nasty! Our low for the state today was up north-- Ashland at 40 deg. My cousin lives up there.

Late to the party tonight. Had to tuck the Rocket Scientist into bed early . He has to be up at 3:30 to catch a plane. I'll be hanging out writing till then if anybody is up.

Actually, that's just the way the web site shows my location. It's Weather Underground, and they do a fantastic combination of radar, fronts, and storm tracks.

I did decide to not put out the trash tonight - I could just see trying to find my garbage can again. My lawn chair was half way across the yard before it hung up on the clothesline post.

I've been in and out for the last little bit. Last night was really bad. Apparently sometime around 3AM liquid lava rolled up my throat and I must have inhaled it. Took a while to settle down, coughed so much my ribs hurt this morning. Apparently I must have aspirated more than I thought because I have had chest rattles all day. Broke out my wedge pillow for tonight and have had very little problem sleeping. Got up at 8am.Took a nap from 3pm till 5pm. Went to bed at 9:30 and just woke up a few minutes ago when Doree came to bed. Going back to sleep in a bit but, thought I would check in. If the rattle isn't gone by tomorrow night I'll see the doc on Tuesday.
