I have been working all day. Show is over, winners announced, booth broken down and packed away in my little van, now for a good nights sleep (hope) and off to Hampton VA tomorrow. Another show, this one is all breed.
Maybe I'll get a collar for the Abby Dog when I come see you. You got something along those line? :)

Have you tried a salt generator system? Well worth the money. Never any chlorine issues. It makes its own. Throw three bags of salt in there twice a year. I add three gallons of cyanuric acid in spring and top it off with a pint of myriatic acid and I'm good to go all year. Never add chlorine. If it looks like a hint of green on the stairs, I turn the generator up to super-chlorinate for twenty-four hours (if it's rained several days in a row) and shock it. Easy peasy.
I would rather spend the money on other things.
and easy?
you call a 4 step process easy?
when I see green, I add chlorine and shock.
done.
no yearly ritual or anything like that.
I change the filter every 3 months or so.

for today, I spent 6 hours power washing my pool deck. I'm getting a pizza to celebrate as a reward.

Dang, where is everybody. I know the weather's good but other than misswish2 and I there ain't nobody around. I don't know of about you but, I'm feeling a little lonely here! :):D

I contribute da lack of da porch traffic to da three day weekend plans... or everyone ran off to contemplate their belly buttons. OR, maybe some folk actually have a life off da porches (I don't...!)
Pretty confident it ain't da hangout to blame dis time...

He will sit in front of that screen door and stare out onto the deck and yard like he is longing for freedom with all his soul. Open the door and he doesn't want to have anything to do with it. Look around and he will be gone and won't stop till he's under the bed upstairs.
Smart kitty. Knows you'll feed 'em. Why go hunting for trouble?

Let me apologize for missing the Red Nose Day Hangout. I would like to assure you that I have made a donation via the web site but, I wasn't fit company yesterday. Doree told me last night when I went to bed that if I was as grumpy this morning I might as well stay in bed. I don't know what was wrong with me but, I didn't want to deal with the world at all. Felt like my depression was raging and I was better off just being left alone. Unfortunately when I feel like that the world generally decides that being left alone ain't gonna happen and everything that could possibly require human interaction comes up a demands attention. Ain't that always the way. Well today I do feel much better. Finally got a decent nights sleep. I have been going to bed early for just about the last week but always end up waking from midnight till around 4am. Not getting uninterrupted sleep doesn't do old Matt any good. Slept last night continuous (cept for the usual wake to pee episodes) and am a much more pleasant person to be around today. Maybe I'll get some things done today! :)
Anywho, sounds like the hangout was fun and I really am sorry in hindsight that I missed it. I promise to do better in the future.
Oh, and good morning to everybody! It really is a beautiful day outside. Cool, sunny and clear. Looking good!

Sorry you had a bad spell. I hate it when that happens. The other day I was miserable and have no idea why. Then I get mad on top of it. I have no reason at all to be miserable!! But, like with you, the miseries just went away.

I don't think I did that right...Janet., I was talking to you about the ladies chat, not Matt. Duh! I'll get the hang of this at some point.

Yeah, I got that. Sometimes the multi-quote gets me confused too, but we all usually figure out what was meant. We're kinda smart that way.

I got some exciting news today, I'm gonna be a granny again!! Daughter and hubby are expecting their first baby, looks like the little one will make his/her world debut around the 5th of January or so.

Congratulations! It's so exciting! There's babies happening all over!!

same here... I have to clean the pool deck - de-algae the pool, and then change the filter tomorrow...
as far as weather...

The nice thing about being retired was that we can just do portions of a job. That was a very nice revelation to discover upon retirement.

Great pictures Willie. Isn't it amazing how quickly they look just like the parents? A matter of a few weeks and you can't tell them apart. Can't say as I think these babies are cute when they first come out of the shell, but I love the close up once they start getting some feathers. Your efforts were worth it!!

Sorry Matt. We've just been SO busy the past few weeks and now with getting prepared for kitchen construction and our DIL coming to stay with us it's not going to slow down for probably the next month! I keep the session open on the computer and whenever I have some time I check in to keep up. And I thought last summer was busy and this one was going to be calm and relaxing! We had today to ourselves so I got the carpet shampooed (after we get the shampooer working) and had yard work and laundry to do because tomorrow I'm going to be mixing up a big batch of juice and then make potato salad and cheesecake for Monday. Gonna be hit or miss for us here for awhile.

Awww, looks like our Maggie! Our 2 are sisters and are both black and white. Neither of them even bat an eye if the door gets left open anymore. They've each gotten out onto the deck when they were little and were pretty freaked. Eyes big as saucers and couldn't get back in the house fast enough!

See? I'm not the only one that has to go to work around here.

It's been flooding all day. Couldn't take the highway to work because it was flooded. Much worse on the way home. But, I made it. And, it's comfy and dry. We even still have electricity . . . so far.
