I just saw a TV program saying Robin Williams had been mis-diagnosed with Parkinson's when in fact he actually had Lewy body dementia. It really depressed me as my dear friend and cohabitee was diagnosed with Parkies 3 years ago (aged 38!) but has just been told that she's got to have a week's intensive investigation as they think they may have misdiagnosed her. I dread to think what they're going to say this time as the depression and mood swings Robin suffered seem horribly close to home.
Anyways, I came here for a bit of light relief and saw:

Don't ask me why it just cracked me up. Howled out loud. Please keep that kind of stuff coming iffy and Kim B, I think I'm going to need it.

Puff, you and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping for the best.

Oh that's not a good read ... sorry to hear it. Here's hoping things turn out for the best after the new testing.

Good time at the range today. Got to shoot a few before people started coming in. I'm very lucky because for being range officer on months when there is a fifth Saturday, I get a free membership every year and a key to the gate. I can go shoot anytime I want and have the place to myself.

I don't have a good camera for video but got a couple clips. (I hope these photobucket links work on ECF)

hey, hey ... I'm liking the double barrel vaping setup you have there. Oh and nice shooting! Is that a 9mm?

A little warm on the front porch here in Georgia USA for my little buddy Lucy. She's 15 so she prefers the cold air conditioning inside. She's happy I'm vaping now and no more disgusting smoke. She's a smart girl

Hi brvfan - can't remember if I've seen you on the porch before - so just in case it's your 1st visit .... WELCOME!

Ah ha, now I understand your need fer my blindfold... never did get to see your assistant!

Just trying to catch up here.

Speaking of bites, last week Monday I believe, something bit me. 2 small puncture bites. Not a tick, found no sign of ticks. Figured misquito or something. On the right side of my torso. Didn't really bother me so thought nothing of it.

Fast forward to last Wed (last week, not yesterday - two days later), the itching started. By Thursday one bite was swollen about the size of a walnut, the other was still small, but red and yecky. Was putting hydrocortisone cream on, but it did nothing. Found some "hot spot" spray in my doggie first aid kit and used it.

By Saturday some of the redness and swelling was down, but still very inflamed. Fast forward to yesterday, my right arm is sore and the lymph glands in my armpit are slightly swollen and very sore.

Today I really felt bad. Tired, achey, generally like crap. I went to a CVS Minute Clinic. The nurse practioner was very nice, gave me a thorough exam. Don't know what bit me (suspect a spider). Put me on doxycycline and a steroid salve for the itching and inflammation.

Hope I feel better in a day or so.. But watch out for those bug bites.

Edit I was taking benadryl during the day but can't take it at night. Helped a little, but not enough.

Eeew! Sorry to hear about the bite, whatever it was. Your body definitely doesn't like it!! Sure hope it clears up quick. I had Lyme last year and I never saw a tick bite either. When ticks bite they swell up so it's hard to imagine missing it.

Well tomorrow is my big day. My yearly echo. I am hopeful as well as apprehensive. This Aortic Valve Replacement didn't go well from the start and I don't think they know where they will go from here if something needs to be done. Like I told my wife I haven't really felt great since the surgery almost 3 years ago. Well will know more tomorrow because they give me the echo and the doc reads it right away and gives me the results after so will let you know.

So glad to hear that it went well for you. Man, $100k for Hep C treatment!! So happy that you have a doc who's approving it for you. It's taken a long time to get that approval hasn't it? Seems it was quite awhile ago that you first mentioned it.

-------> Well I am going to pop in here too and say Hi to everyone. Been reading and trying to keep up - but I guess I am not too good at getting in here to chat.

Have to say welcome to all the new folks that have arrived since I was last here and it has been great to see Debadoo and Yiddle both back since I posted last. So since I have missed so much - I will just jump in with some comments from todays posts......

Life has been keeping me busy and we have done a lot of traveling since my husband retired. We did a 15 day cruise to Hawaii in December that was so very relaxing. Then we spent Feb in Phoenix and got some warm weather relaxing and golfing in. Just got back from a week in Las Vegas and got to see Neil Diamond again. So with the weather getting nice now I think we can stay home for a while.

If I remember correctly I think there are a few new grandbabies on the way - we also have another granddaughter due to arrive at the end of Sept. She will be the 4th granddaughter and our only grandson gets to keep his spot as the 1 and only.

This newest arrival is our daughters first - so pretty exciting for them.

Anyway - enough for now. I will try to visit more often. Just figured I needed to do my part in getting the 15 millionth post in.

Great you stopped by again Kari! Congratulations on the new grand babies! We seem to have them popping out all around us here! Hope you stick around. Just pop in anytime, always good to hear from you!

Isn't that amazing? After days of trying to get to the back porch I finally make it and there's someone ready and waiting to welcome me. American hospitality at its best!
Anyhoo, all I meant by a place to share my spreadsheet was somewhere on the interweb I could put the file so's folk could download it from a link on this forum. Nothing more fancy than that. (Here is that link if anyone's interested: LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's Mixing Spreadsheet. Edit: Link removed due to vileness on hosting site!)
(Goodness, I used "folk" instead of "people". I'll do anything to fit in!)

Happy you found your way here! No worries, we've got a comfy rocker for everybody!

Kewl on the new PC! But yeah the other part stinks. At least you know how to do all that
Well... I hope I know how... I'm good with windows 3.1 all the way through windows 7, but this is windows 8,1, so we will see how long it takes me to get it done.

That's my fun lovin gal Crystal and the main man in my life Mr Vape. I'm kinda like the meat in that sandwich if you know what I mean.

And yep that's a Glock G19. Us old burnouts aren't known for having steady hands but I do OK with it.

Cool, used to do a lot when I was young, but as I got into bifocals, trifocals, non focals I gave it up... My uncle used to get us to use apples swinging on a string for practice.

Itz quick n' ez. No problem BUT you may want to search for "classic start menu". I'd be lost without that. Free prog.

After wishing you a good night's sleep I went and actually didn't sleep a wink. The only sleep I have had in the last 48hrs has been the 2 hour nap I took this afternoon.

Have you talked with your doc about this sleep (or rather non-sleep) thing you're going through? It's not good to have this much trouble sleeping! Is it possible that a medication you're taking is causing it? Have you had your thyroid checked? I worry about you having so much trouble.

If Windows 10 is what they claim - I am actually looking forward to it - so I can skip 8 altogether...
