Thank you all for the compliments on Geordi. I am looking forward to my new adventure.

Mike and Janet, I am so looking forward to those kitchen pics! I just love a nice kitchen!

And Matt, when i am hanging out on the porch in a week or so, I sure hope to see you. And everyone else I know and don't know. Tasha and Geordi will be attending too. ;l

My bad, haven't been on the porches for a while.
and we miss you!!! Sometimes you're here, you just don't talk lol

and coming up with the money to send her oldest to summer school.
she might want to check and see if she would qualify for it to be free. It was when my son had to go, and we made a decent living, just not a whole lot. I'm sooooo excited about y'all moving into a place where you'll have your own room!!! I really miss having a place I can go and keep all my stuff and shut the door!

I found the back porch! I do not think I have been here yet :)
Welcome!! Glad to have you here!!!

Well the vote in WA never happened yesterday they must've rescheduled it for some reason.
Sure hope they don't pass this mess!

Now let's see if I can do this....
Squeeee!!!!! He's soooooo adorable!!!!!! I'm with Janet........wanna just bury my face in mane, give him scritchys all over and belly rubs!!!

But, I really don't feel I have much to say. And, that just seems rude.
Dat's not rude!! Come in any time and don't feel pressured. We love seein ya. sometimes we try to draw you out, but if you don't wanna talk, you don't have to. Just wanna make sure you can if you want to.

we need to guard against thinking everyone knows what was talked about. In other words don't forget to post here or forget your friends here
No one is ever going to forget about the porch. But, I know for a few people, the hangout is the only contact they can have right now, so it is vital. If someone mentions something that was said in the H/O and someone doesn't understand it, it's simple enough for em to ask. No one wants anyone to feel left out at all. Some folks can't, or choose not to, I get that, but for some it's the only way they really can stay in touch with the porch right now, so both are equally important in my book.

At least I'm not as bad as my friend who stored a birthday cake in the oven, forgot about it and turned the oven on...
hehehe I was baking a wedding cake one time, in a fairly small kitchen. Had the giant cake plate for the bottom part and no place to put it......so I stuck it in the oven to store it. I never store stuff in my oven, cuz I always just turn it on to preheat. Totally forgot about that.......parts of it melted to the oven rack......pried it off......it reminded me of Tom Hanks soccer ball in castaway name wilson......since it was a cake plate......I named it Wilton!  Melting plastic really stinks

Turns out the blue istick 50 on my nightstand was firing all by itself. IT'S POSSESSED!!!!
Those 50 watters really seem to have a lot of issues. Some work great, but it's weird that yours was working great then suddenly it's not. Not in the market for one, but would definitely go for the 30 watt if I was.

puppy breath will heal all emotional hurt....:wub::wub::lol::banana:

edit, I guess it worked! upload picture, geesh.... :(o_O:shock:

another edit, guess it's time for me to shut down the laptop... upload file....

Gorgeous pup!!!! I'm jealous!

Janet~ That istick situation woulda scared the bejeesus out of me! I use one of those fireproof battery bags when I'm recharging. $5 is pretty cheap for peace of mind.

I was having problems with my hot water heater and ended up getting a new one. Just a friendly reminder to every home owner: drain your hot water heater once a year and they'll last longer.

Just came from G/H but had to come in and say what cute puppies, clnire!!

Janet & Mike, that kitchen is going to be awesome, and the enjoyment you'll get from it even more awesome.
Janet, I know you know this, but please be careful with that i-Stick!!! That's unnerving!

Don't remember anything else right now, off to bed I go........

Thanks. Yes it is pretty exciting. It's the first time for a new kitchen for us so it's a new experience. I can't wait to knead dough on a granite counter. The oven has a bright blue interior and they say that all you have to do is spritz water in there and turn on the clean cycle and 20 minutes later it's all clean! Yay!! I'll never have to mess with oven cleaner again!!! Not that I clean my oven very often. By the time it's cool enough to clean I've forgotten about the burned mess on the bottom and don't remember till the next time I turn it on and the kitchen fills up with smoke. At least I'm not as bad as my friend who stored a birthday cake in the oven, forgot about it and turned the oven on...
Kitchen cabinets arrived! And no, that's not me lifting those heavy boxes. Tomorrow the appliances will be delivered. I'm seeing a kitchen in our future.
Nice! And, Janet, I always check the oven before I turn it on because I have been known to 'store' things in there. I'm always the one that does the dishes. So, I sometimes walk into a kitchen that is so full of dishes that there's no other place to put the overflow but the oven. I have to have, at least, one side of the sink and a portion of counter to work with to get the dishes started. Luckily, I haven't had to resort to using the oven that way for a long, long time.

Now, cleaning ovens? I think I cleaned one . . . . once.
she might want to check and see if she would qualify for it to be free. It was when my son had to go, and we made a decent living, just not a whole lot.
She is getting it half price. But, that's still $175!

Me too! And, even my daughter finally admitted to herself that she needs the same thing. She had planned on sharing the master bedroom with the little ones. Thankfully, she's changed her mind!

There will be peace!

I have lots of different kinds of quiet moods. My talkative moods are in the tiny minority. I do have them . . . . every once in a while. I guess, if I feel a need to .... in and just can't, I could always 'speak up' with the chat function in a pinch.

Welcome to the Back Porch! Home to some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I absolutely love it here. Don't really spend much time anywhere else. Pull up a rocker and make yourself comfortable, tell us about yourself. What ya vaping, where you from etc. I'm sure you know the front porch is mostly vaping related but, back here almost anything goes. Have fun and welcome again.
Thank you! Thank you to everyone for the welcome! I have been enjoying myself on the front porch :)
I love ; the outdoors, family, my animals aka buddies (dog, cat, chickens, duck), and my favorite color is pink ;)
My favorite tank is my fbc tank with my mvp, 900mah aro battery, or rocket mod. I recently won a 28650 kingpin mod with tobh rda, and I am really enjoying learning about rdas and playing with it. I am obsessed with hazelnut eliquid! I diy...mostly my hazelnut nowadays :)

I woke up about 3 a.m. Monday morning to a funny sound. Turns out the blue iStick 50 on my nightstand was firing all by itself. IT'S POSSESSED!!!! Quick, find an exorcist! It shut off and I laid there wondering if I dreamed it. Sure enough, about the time I was supposed to get up it did it again. WTH? A little later I was sitting here having my coffee, telling Mike about it and IT DID IT AGAIN!! Mike says "oh yeah, some people are having a problem with that". So, he contacted VaporTek and they said no problem, send it back and they'll send me a new one. We only got it a month ago. My pink one is just fine but now I don't know if it can be trusted.

Reading about this a lot. Seems you can't really recommend them to people now.
Well unless they want to turn it off when not using it or if the lock stops it firing.
Think its the 50w only can't recall if any issues with the 30w.

Welcome to the back porch - good to have you here.

did that work?

Loved the pictures of the new pup - so adorable.

I woke up about 3 a.m. Monday morning to a funny sound. Turns out the blue iStick 50 on my nightstand was firing all by itself.

Janet - that is scary - I had read about a number of these when I was researching the iStick. So glad I decided on the iStick 30 when I went for a second one - even if the battery life is better - it is scary to know that some of them just decide to do this.

Great to see/hear of the progress on the new kitchen. Looking forward to the pictures - including one of the inside of the new oven

My last stove was a self clean - and I have to admit I still didn't clean it too often. Glad my new one is much easier to clean. The old one still required separate cleaning of the drip trays under the burners - so kind of a pain and not done often enough. One time when making Yorkshire pudding - I had the oven pretty hot and was heating the pan with grease .... started a fire with something that had spilled and burnt onto the oven bottom.

I just calmly stated - oh the oven is on fire and two of my sons just as calmly grabbed a lid and placed it over the fire - and out it went. My daughter still freaks out about how calm we all were - and I got a new fire extinguisher for the kitchen at Christmas that year

Funny thing is that I have a pink one that's working just fine. I love it! We're mailing the misfiring blue one back today for an exchange. I just hope the new one doesn't end up with the same problem.

This morning I sat down to refill the toppers on Mike's black iStick 50 and found the topper was leaking all over. Now the black one either won't turn on, or when it does, keeps setting itself back to 5W. Mike sat it on the end table and it fired on it's own. Now we're thinking that maybe it was misfiring on it's own and drawing juice without being vaped. We're checking the kfun topper to see if it leaks on it's own. Never had a problem with it before so we're thinking it's the iStick doing it. Frustrating.
