"The Last Waltz" is on Netflix streaming for those that have the service and it is the remastered edition, so the picture quality is top notch as well as the audio .
Really appreciate you recommending netflix, flicks :) Will definitely check this one out. Sorry you were having a bad night, hope you're feeling better now. and like rattytat said, that's precisely the time you need to come in and we can cheer ya up, or at least try! If nothing else, you'll know folks care! Holidays are pretty run of the mill around here too. Wish they weren't, but that's what it's become.

Happy 4th of July everyone! It is nice to see that my 21 years in the Navy and my brides 20 years, also in the Navy, has served a purpose.
Appreciate y'alls service and that of all our vets!!

Didn't think you'd mind but, didn't want to get Deb upset so I deleted the pic.
I didn't figure iffy would mind, and it wasn't about me getting upset, just there was at least one other person who was pictured there, that I knew wouldn't appreciate the pic being posted. Appreciate you taking it down.

It's kinda iffy...
yur always kinda Iffy :)

I tried the coupon code 4thofJulymixer and it says it's invalid.
glad y'all got it worked out. Hope they'll run that one again sometime.

Would you look at me. . . I'm being playful and creative. bahahahahaha
lol imagine that! You're always playful and creative. On here at least. Cuz when you're not feeling that way.....you disappear. Hmmmm perhaps you should take the advice you gave willie, and hangout when you're feeling bad. just sayin :)

but who the hell else is up at 1:48AM in the morning?
I was up, but wasn't online yet.

Mornin Semi!

Are you concerned about the natural fireworks shorting your puter?
Not too much I have such heavy duty surge suppression that it kicks breakers if I get a strong power line surge. If it gets my puter it fries everything else in the house as well.

A point that most do not know is that surge suppressors work even if nothing is plugged directly into them. House wiring is basically a split parallel circuit. so a surge supressor plugged in anywher protects everywhere. Of course it is good to have devices plugged straight into them as well.
Anyway with newer PC's unless they are unplugged they are always on as far as a power surge goes.

Oh WOW! I am overwhelmed with all of the kind words and uplifting thoughts. I don't know how to do the multiple quotes like deb? does, however, I want to say thanks to everyone. This is a hard time for me as the 3-year anniversary of her being taken from me and 26 years of marriage all occur this week. Who would have thought we would make it work. She hated motorcycles when we first started dating. The Navy, in its infinite wisdom, sent me from San Francisco to San Diego to become a motorcycle safety instructor. I was forced to ride my motorcycle down Highway 1. Oh, the horrors!! LOL. Anyway, she decided since I was an instructor she would try riding with me. Soon after getting my certification, I bought an old '84 Honda Goldwing from a fellow instructor at Alameda Naval Air Station. On the first weekend ride to Monterey, I created a monster. We rode the wheels off that bike. She found another newer used Goldwing and she bought it for us. It is in the garage and I can't bring myself to ride it anymore. It isn't the same without the queen in her seat. Somehow, the microphone for her headset didn't work. She had a habit of singing along to the radio or tape. One thing she couldn't do was carry a tune. However, she did it with gusto. LOL
Thanks for listening to this ol man travel down memory lane. Anyone want to buy a Goldwing? I'll make ya a good deal.

{{{Diver}}}, so sorry that you lost your wife. The memories bring back the emotion and that can be so hard. But one of the things we learned from an organization called TAPS was to remember the love and celebrate the life and it really did help us. How lucky you are to have such wonderful memories.

Thank you Iffy, unfortunately, my bride lost her battle 11 months after her cancer was discovered. It will be 3 years ago this coming Sunday. Tuesday would have been (was) our 26th anniversary. It seems like it was just yesterday. Sorry, I have been a bundle of emotions.

{{{BIG HUGS}}} Hope you have a peaceful day!

Morning porchers..

I was up way too late last night cuz of the Hangout:) but got to see Susan and Gracie. Now my tail feathers are draggin'!

My lil Tukii has really had a bad beginning in life.....her bottom lip is black n swollen and her back left paw is also swollen and bloody around the middle claw and pad. Phone call to the Vet first thing in the morning.

She had a partial black lip when she came to me and also was always licking and biting on her back paw, I tried to check them both out...difficult with a kitty:(, but now they're both very prominent.
Poor baby...

Dang, that's not good... has she been outside and maybe gotten into a spat with a neighbor?

She hasn't been outside in about two months, since she meandered into my home to live with me:) She had this when she came here but it's gotten worse and very noticeable the last few days. She doesn't act sick tho....she still tears around the place wreaking havoc:D

Good morning everyone! Whew, just got caught up on the thread. Happy Birthday and Congratulations to all the milestones people are celebrating!! And big hugs to those having troubles. I may not have addressed each one, but there are hugs and prayers going out from my heart.

We kind of crashed yesterday after our company left. It was a fun day and we got to watch some fireworks from our back deck. The trees have grown over the years, but we can still see them through the treetops if we find the right spot to watch. Somebody was setting off some huge bombs somewhere nearby. Geeze, must have been deafening to those up close! The pretty sparkles are better than the big boomers IMHO.

Loved the music clips once the flash player got updated. Sheesh, seems like it needs updating once a week!

Gotta get moving. Will drop by later.

I certainly hope the vet can sort it out and get the right meds to her.
