AH! got ya. Unfortunately I have to pack and get ready to leave Friday for a dog show. Tomorrow will be busy with dentist and dropping Geordi off at his breeders for the weekend. Trying to work a dog show alone with a 15 week old puppy (Tasha is no problem) would not be fun! Plus he has not had his final shots yet and I do not want him exposed to anything floating around the show. But thanks!!

kay was brilliant and is so proud she wanted to share! Scott was trying to figure out if a drill bit he had would be a good size to drill out a hole in the Rm2 top cap......I was looking for a mm to inches converter, and kay said.....stick the bit in another top cap and see if it fits. Duhhhhhh lol What a smarty!!

I've always believed in "Quality of Life" rather than "Quantity of Life" .. who knows, at some point, an "Assisted Living Facility" may look attractive, that is, if you can afford it .. "Nursing Home" just sounds so, er, final .. not to say they don't have their place and that there are good ones out there .. and I guess they are a boon to those recovering from things .. for me, I've never really feared the Reaper, just let it be quick and under my own terms if at all possible ..
You and I seem to be going thru the same issues at the same time .. food, which normally, for me, was one of the Top Three things has somehow devolved into complete and utter boredom .. it's almost a chore .. of course, I know that would change if I were to partake of your Gumbo, Jambalaya, etc .. in fact, let me suggest you invite all of us over for a "Family Boucherie" ..
So you got the free backyard pool with your house?!On a bright note...I have the best daughter in the world. She called me this afternoon to let me know that she went to my house today and mowed my lawn. She lives 25 miles from me, and she came and did that for me. That took about 50 pounds off my chest as I had not been able to mow the back yard when I left to come to work. It was still a swimming pool from all the rain we've been having. She told me my back yard stunk.It's been submerged for a couple of weeks. Duh...but she had me laughing with that. Of course, I'll probably wind up helping her get her band room set up for the coming school year, but that's a small price to pay.

Kay, I'm a big Joe Cocker fan but, have you ever noticed that he looks like he's having a Gran Mal epileptic seizure when he is on stage? Great music, strange looking. Oh well. Talent comes in all sorts of packages.
Good morning (afternoon) everybody. Hope everyone is having a great "hump" day. Being mostly retired, hump day doesn't mean as much these days. Boy it sure did when I was gainfully employed!
So, a while ago i finally found the second meds that I was supposed to be giving to Tukii since yesterday morning. When I got back from the emergency vet hospital at 5:00 a.m. yesterday I immediately went to the hangout to share the situation, told them of the two meds .Amy asked me what they were so I got them out of the bag, which was on the kitchen upper counter, cuz i didn't know, and since she;s so knowledgeable with all cat stuff I showed them on the screen and even showed her the syringe for the one med ,then put them on the table next to the pc.
that afternoon I got one of the pills out of the container that I'd put on the upper counter in the kitchen sometime between when i showed them to Amy and that afternoon.and managed to get it down her...but the second med wasn't there..... went on a hunt...couldn't find it. My GD, who'd been sleeping all day got up and she went on a hunt with me. Found the bag they came in ,in the trash, so pulled all the trash out thinking I might have inadvertently dropped it in there...nope. Hunted high n low, wracked my poor peabrain trying to remember, knew it was in a blue n yellow n white box, blamed Tukii...she must have knocked it off the counter, pulled out the couch in front of it...wasn't there. Scoured every room...what to do, call the vet and go get another one, keep looking...looked in every drawer, in the closets, under and behind all the furniture in every room,looked every where... nothing.
Got up this morning still trying to find it, now desperately, my poor head was in pounding mode. Told myself " I'm going to the vet tomorrow, it'll be ok, I'll get some more then "and feeling guilty cuz Tukii should already have been dosed with it cuz it's strong stuff, cuz it's only once a day and she'd already missed a dose. Then I thought that maybe Tukii got to playing with the box so energetically that she got it stuffed under one of the beds. I have high-rise bed supports for both beds so that I can store a lot of things under them...bedding and such, vape supplies in plastic containers and so on...pulled every thing out, got a flashlight, got down flat on the floor to shine it under the beds...no box of meds.
Gave up, went to the Hangout, Scott n Deb were there.( that's when I had a very rare "brilliant" thought about Scott putting a drillbit in an atomozier cap that already had a hole in it to see if it was the right size to make a hole in another cap that didn't have one)
Finally had to leave cuz I desperately needed to try to catch up on some sleep. As soon as I stood up it hit me right between the ears.....the refrigerator! It's in the refrigerator! It needed to be refrigerated!
Opened the frig door..there it is, right on the top shelf, front n center.THEN I finally remembered where I'd put it and, at that time, i even had the presence of mind to make sure to put it where it was very visible.
I was so happy! Mind you, I'd been in the frig at least a few times between yesterday and today...and simply did not see it!
I was so excited that I immediately went back to the hangout but Scott n Deb were gone so I called Deb to tell her that I'd finally found it.
Then she told me that,as i said i had to go back to bed and try to get more sleep cuz I was so wasted from my thirty-some marathon of no sleep and going bonkers about the one med,that she said a little prayer for me that i would find the meds so i could stop stressing out so much about it.
Here's the awesome punch-line...
as soon as I got up from the chair it hit me that it was in the frig!!A thousand lightbulbs went off!! I almost broke my neck getting to the frig..and it's only about 7-8 steps away from the pc....and there it was, front n center!!

Don't know how I managed to get your post in this post...duh...But anyway...yes, that was an exceptional example of how stoned he always was! For a long time I felt sorry for him but admire him for being such a great performer with such a devastating illness
