Hello, Porchers!

Friday night, sitting alone in my hospital bed, feeling very loved. I've had lots of visitors the last couple of days.

My daughter (Melinda) stayed with me all day Wednesday.

My brother (Greg) surprised me by being here when I woke up Thursday. He spent all day here. This is the brother that never comes into town. Quite a surprise!

My son (Sean) and his family drove down from Fort Worth Thursday night. It was quite a crowd here Thursday night!

Friday was quieter. Then, I got my middle child (Rachel) on Google Hangouts just before dinner time and talked to her for over 3 hours. I'm very grateful to modern technology for bringing my daughter to me all the way from Scotland.

I may be terrified of doctors and surgery. But, I do feel very, very loved right now.

I appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts. Thank you all!
So happy you have family there to help you get through it!

I stumbled across these pictures this evening while looking for something else. This is the island where I work.
Gee. I just cannot see why you would need to worry about internet access working in the midst of such an industrialized area. ;)

Why do some women dress so sexy, then get mad at you for looking?(true story)
Often wondered that myself. I was in line at the store once and this young, good looking lady was in front of me wearing tight short, shorts with "princess" printed on the ..... Turned round and caught me looking and gave me the old "you pervert" look. I told her to her face that if she didn't want people looking at her azz she shouldn't put a sign on it. She didn't take it well but, several other folks in line broke out laughing. I did too.

My best loved ever.... A very well endowed women at a Ren fair had eyes painted on her cleavage, I broke down and asked and she said " When a man talks too me I like him to look him in me in the eyes" I broke down and laughed my a..s off bought some scented oils and gave her a kiss. On the cheek I love a good advertising line. She won that one.

Good Saturday morning, all!

((((DH)))) so glad you were surrounded by family. Will continue to keep you in my prayers for a quick and full recovery.

Janet, that certainly has to be unsettling about your i-Stick!
Good advice above and hopefully you'll be able to use it without reservation.

The boys (hubby & cuz) took a trip down south for a fishing trip with another cousin, and the house is refreshingly quiet, so
was able to get into the H/O last night!
Today will be a good one, so hope it is the same for all of you!

I didn't take my afternoon nap yesterday, and by nine o last night was so tired that I couldn't think straight. Gave up working, and went to bed. Had some belly pain, and it triggered some strange dreams. Headache again this morning.

Glad to see that DH is getting plenty of attention from her family.

I'm such a lazy schmuck.
Several months ago (older porches will remember), I started making a frame for my couch/bed thing I got on Amazon. Too low to the ground to sit on, and WAY to low to sleep on when folded out.
So I wanted to make a couch base that could convert into a bed.
Several trials and errors, I decided to make the second half of the bed frame into a back for the couch.
My biggest problem was getting it to act as a couch back and still be able to remove it to convert to a bed.
I decided that some kind of bracket would be best... But. Since its at the frame level, it wobbles and crunches and slips back.
What I needed was a bracket to hug the bottom of the "foot frame" to the "seat frame"
Couldn't find one anywhere. No one could make one for less that outrageous cost because it was one-off.
Enter the 3D printer.
3 pointing one way and 3 pointing the other way and the wobble is gone.
It took all this week, 15 hours of printing tests and 7.5 hours to print the 6 brackets, but they work! So far.

Well done! What do you use for your 3D modeling s/w?

Poor istick - had to sleep alone last night ... instead of on Janet's night stand.

The good news, it turned on just fine this morning. Perhaps it did survive it's dive into the pool.

You are! And since they're now "proving" the power of prayer / positive energy, there's no way you won't be back in good working order soon!

Random Thoughts:

If Alien's were looking for signs of intelligent life on Earth, would they loose all hope after seeing facebook?
Or would they just send in the Voogons?
We Facebookers have considered the possibility. Countless millions of us are working 24/7 on a secret defense which shall render the Voogons instantly docile. Here's the secret defense. Keep it under your hat.
More kitten, puppy and bunny pictures, of course!

Dancing...your body might not be dancing right now, but your heart sure is, with all the love you're receiving from so many people.

You'll come through this thing with flying colors!

So glad she's doing so much better! Sorry the hangouts are messin with ya though. now how are you feeling with your cold?

Deb... I was fooling about the hangouts!!!:D

I guess my warped sense of humor is understood only by me:rolleyes:

Morning porchers!

oh..Deb...it's only a cold/sinus stuff, NO big deal!

Bless your heart...with all your physical issues, you're still so big-hearted as to ask after others, even a person with a wimpy cold...that's why I and so many others can't help but love you:wub:
