Please don't be sorry. I thought it was rather exciting. A nice end to an otherwise challenging day.

Actually, the first part was a little fun...I'd watched the interchange between them long enough to realize that neither was grand standing for the crowd and nothing physical was going to happen...neither one appeared dumb enough to go too far and they appeared to be in they're 30's or thereabout.

The "not running software" had nothing to do with windows. That was when you had a choice. The old 32 bit or the new 64 bit machines. If you used 64 bit (which is faster and better), you lost the ability to run "some" old progs. Only because they won't run on 64 bit. Not really windows fault. Advanced hardware fault.
Hmm ones that ran on 64 bit would not run on 64 bit Windows 8.

One of my best friends ever was working as a bartender, and purely by accident/necessity (the bouncer was on a long bathroom break) made a fascinating discovery. When an extremely vertically challenged (she stood maybe 5'2" when wearing spike heels) woman stepped between two large, drunk, belligerent guys who were about to get physical, and told them to cut it out, they stopped. And stayed stopped. After that, in most cases, she would break fights up, and then the bouncer could peacefully escort them out.

I later saw a very experienced grey haired woman bartender use exactly the same technique, just as successfully. See it wasn't just the very generous cleavage that they were looking down at when my friend stepped between them. :D

I have been around for awhile...since 2010...hung out in Reo threads...Love music, vaping, The Walking Dead, reading...and DIY e liquid is my hobby...I am always mixing.......and vaping....:vapor:

Hi Deb and welcome to the back porch!! So, your hobby is DIY juice? Do you have a good recipe for a black cherry liquid? All the ones I've tried have a metallic taste to me. Don't know if I'm missing adding something to avoid it or just haven't found the right flavoring.

Warfrat, Welcome to you too!! After I posted this morning our grand baby showed up so we were babysitting all day so I'm a little late. Glad to have you join us too!

Actually, as long as it has no 16 bit components, 32 bit software runs fine on 64 bit architecture. Unfortunately, some of the "installers" for them are 16 bit so the installer won't run to do the install... Catch-32?

I'm going to ignore the bad news because I'm under stress and I don't need to spiral out, so....

Why 2 boys? Liza is a girl! We sang this in elementary school & always thought it was a man & woman.
an old Boy Scout standard
which means that we sang it around the campfire... there were not girls in the boy scouts back then, and the Mormon overlords decided that two boys singing to each other as if they were husband and wife was just not the image that the boy scouts want to project.
Yeah, I'm kinda ...... that the Mormons took over the scouts. But I would have been just as ...... if any other religious group had, so if you are Mormon, nothing against you personally. Just against any morality police dictating what is and is not proper for an American institution.

Birds have a protection racket going. My car in the driveway never gets "bombed" until right after I wash it. Every time!
Let me see if I can inject a bit of humor into my explanation....
Birds poop in perfect little puddles of perpetual water to prohibit predators from preventing present procreation.
hehe...

OK... Birds tend to do their business over water when they can because it prevents predators from knowing their location. Water is shiny, clean cars are shiny...
no one said that "Bird Brain" meant the smartest person in the class.

Quick fly-by to say 'hi'. Weather here in Philly is awesome; cool w/low humidity. Trip took 17 hours driving straight thru with some stops, of course!
Don't have time to read back now, but hope to catch up later!

Miss the H/O. That is addictive, I tell ya!

Catch y'all later.

Woohoo - we had some bad lightning last night. The top of three trees got hit. These trees literally got hit and were blown 15 - 20ft across the yard... One was my neighbors tree and it landed in my yard (jumped over the fence)... One of my trees was blown into the other neighbors yard and one into my yard. I am going to cut them all up and each person will clean up the scraps in their own yards...
