So? Tell the story. Call me a dumby, but I never heard it.

If you google meaning of a horse with no name it explains that a lot of people thought it was about the drug H_____, since it's also called horse, but the song writer said no it wasn't. Several things inspired him, but it wasn't that.

I'll tell you another story .. if anyone remembers, I've said in the past that my shop / commercial building area has devolved over the years into a less than savory area .. I keep a stock of some fairly expensive goods, tools, etc and over the years, I have been broken into more than once .. until I finally decided I had had enough and fabricated bars across all the windows .. and installed a metal grill door on the outside of the main, glass door .. they could still break the windows, but they would not get in ..

As a final touch, I rigged an old sawed off double barrel on a wheeled cart and when I left for the night, I'd wheel the contraption out and place it about 4-5 feet away from the inside of the door, pointing at the door at stomach level .. with a thin rope running from the triggers to the door handle .. and a sign that said, "Make My Day" clearly visible .. the shotgun was not loaded, but anyone that would look into the shop thru that door, could plainly see it when I was not there .. never again had an issue ...

Of course, as time went by and things became more and more Politically Correct, or whatever, I was forced to remove it by the Lollipop Guild .. ;)

But ... but ... did the .... and stock have mother of pearl inlays?

well it's official. i now own a Reo. if all goes well i should be thoroughly confused by wed.

Congrats! So now you're a run-a-mok squonker ... sounds good ... eh?

I'm home! I'm home! I'm home!

Hooray ... so nice to hear you finally go home.

I feel a lot better than I did the first time I came home!

I get to use the oxygen for 30 days. After that, I have to return it or pay for it myself. They were very uncomfortable that I didn't have a credit card for security. But, I got it!

I certainly hope I don't need oxygen longer than that. If I do, that's a whole different problem.

Oh wow, that's great! I knew they'd work something out, just couldn't imagine how they'd do it. Hopefully you won't need the O2 for the whole month. Welcome home Dancing!

A weapon of any sort can be useful .. I carry an ankle blade most of the time when I'm wearing long pants .. other times, if I feel the need, I'll pack the heat .. and I'll tell you a story .. many, many years on the road subjects you to more than your fair share of possible run ins ..

On a long jog somewhere between Kansas City and West of no where, I blew a tire on the Interstate ... pulled over, got out and started to get ready to change to the spare .. within a few moments, a vehicle pulls over on the shoulder, I'm thinking it's a Good Samaritan, but, they stop at least 50 feet back of me .. I'm thinking "That's odd" .. it's night time, they have their lights on, I really can't see what's up .. I hear 2 car doors close and I can see the silhouettes of two people walking toward me .. the hair on the back of my neck stood up, my intuition kicked in and I pulled my 9 out from under the seat .. I yelled "Stop and identify yourself" .. no answer .. I chambered a round and fired it into the dirt .. said pair hightailed it back to their vehicle, pulled a U turn over the median and disappeared into the night ..
See, that's what I'm talking about. I spent the night in a cargo van on I10 just outside of Anahuac, Texas one night. I had this strange idea that I was going to sleep. Yeah right........parked on the side of Interstate 10 I was going to sleep with the van rocking every time a car passed. Somewhere around dawn, in the rear view mirror, I spotted an 18 wheeler with a wide load, and the poor soul couldn't get over. I jumped from the driver's seat to the other side and out of the door because I just KNEW I was gonna get it. By the time they came to get me the that morning, I was in no mood to talk.

Glad to hear it Dancing. Now your an official zipper sister. That's what all the heart people call the scar. Hey if you use FB there is a really great group there called Heart Valve Surgery. Really a bunch of good people and if you have questions about anything ask it there. They really helped me through some bad times. Most everyone there is a fellow zipper person lots of caring people there and they will be happy to meet you. I know you will really like this group there are over 2000 members and most are heart valve patients you can get some real understanding there because we all are in the same boat. Get well quick and don't overdo it please. Just take your time and if you can go to cardiac rehab its a real Game Changer.

Oh I fogot to tell you the groups full name is Heart Valve Surgery Support Group. It is a closed group so you have to join and tell Adam Pick why you are joining that you are a fellow heart patient. It is the only group I really have ever used on FB tons of support there.
