Yes, I vote for members helping members. Cigs are no longer a choice for me.
Now that the hot weather is soon to pass I am ready to put the bike carrier on the back of my jeep and hitting the riding trails on the Oklahoma River.

Look at that tricked out bicycle - nice! So where's the canopy to keep the sun off your head?

After not owning one for about 30 years, I got one about a month ago. I also got an attachable buggy for my 4 y/o g-daughter to ride in. My get up and go has been gone since I quit smoking. For now, it's seems to be back in a big way. Anyway, I've been riding with my youngest sons (13 and 14) and g-daughter, once a week for the last 3 weeks, and I can feel my abdominal muscle working again! :) It's helping with my bendability and lower body strength. One of my sons went to stay with Grandpa for a week and when he came back, he asked if I'd lost weight. :) Bicycling seems to be the all around best form of exercise and I can enjoy spending time with of kids at the same time. I don't miss out on any together time to go to the gym (like that would ever happen:lol:).

I'm sure it will help you with what you want to accomplish. Enjoy the scenery! :)

That sounds wonderful! Good for you! When I got on my bike after 30 years I couldn't keep the handlebars still. I looked like a cartoon!! Got it straightened out pretty quick though. Guess it's true that you never forget. I hope you don't have many hills where you're going if you're pulling a buggy and your g-daughter! That'll give you a work out for sure!

Hmm, I will have to see what I can rig as a canopy. lol
@Debadoo, there is a learning curve to riding this style of bike. It can be a bit unyielding at slow speeds and getting it started can be a challenge at times. When I am out riding I do have to answer a load of questions from curious people. I picked this one up used and still cost a pretty penny. I think it was well worth the investment and it is a comfort to ride. My airo-belly aids in cutting through the headwinds, too. hehe

Color me lazy ... but with this bike and chauffeur I could do a lot of riding.

Except for the driver - this is a very common form of transportation in some parts of the Philippines - cost about 50 cents to get across town...

Dat's what caps/hats are fer. A canopy would slow ya down... unless ya had an STP sticker (always good fer at least 5 MPH)!

Day-um, wondered if I left my Batman costume on dat seat. Must say she sure knew how to pedal... blew me away!!!

So sad to discover this voice has been silenced from singing by Parkinsons....

Absolutely luv this song! Now that I think 'bout it, it's a song to be danced to alone on a pillow.. or in other words, a 'long distance' radio dedication (ala Casey Kasem)...

Linda was always a fav beautiful voice!

From what I remember, that would be a very plain Jane Jeepney from the Philippines.

Oh no! That's so sad to hear. One of my old time, all time favorite voices to listen to.

I knew that Mike, and was thinking of you when I posted it. I'm still reading through the original thread.....listening to the music posted, and so missing my favorite DJ....

Yep, missing him too ... Janet just reminded me that Uncle Willie talked about her illness a while back. See that's why I keep her  ... she has a better memory than me.
