Glad to hear that the problem with your tank is fixed Andria.

If you look at how the tank works, you'll notice that part of the coil contacts the chimney, the tube in the center of the tank, and the contact area is flexible, rubber like. Since the coil turns into the base and the base turns into the tank, turning the base when you're removing it or putting it back on can cause the coil to turn in the base at the same time. So whenever you refill check the coil to make sure it's not loose in the base.

As you've already discovered finger tip tight is the best way. I learned that phrase from a vaping video, meaning not as tight as possible with your fingers but just firmly.

That must have been it, the turning just loosened it *ever* so slightly. I was worried it was something I had done; I used a pipe cleaner to wipe out the inside of the mouthpiece, but I did it while the tank was apart from the base, so I didn't think I could have damaged anything that way, but just didn't know. The e-juice that came out also worried me, that I had gotten it someplace it didn't belong; one of the first times I took it back apart, I also used a pipe cleaner to swab out that 'chimney', and gently wiped the post that extends into the chimney wit a paper towel, and there *was* a tiny amount of juice, and I have no clue how it got there, because I was very careful to fill it down the side of the plastic, rather than anywhere near the center. *shrug*

At least now I'm not so afraid of it; new gizmos make me afraid I'm going to break them; I really am clumsy! When we walk thru Hobby Lobby, it seems my husband wants to walk RIGHT thru the decorative ceramic ware, and I'm so paranoid, me and my big coat and big purse and big feet, I feel like a gorilla in a wedding cake factory!

some of what ends up in the mouthpiece is not actually juice. It is condensation of the vapor like water condensation on the outside of a cold glass. Perfectly normal.

Please do not take what I said earlier about me and the ego-C setup as a knock on the eRoll. From what I understand the eRoll works beautifully for alot of people. I just wasn't willing to risk it after my experience with the C which is basically a larger version of pretty much the same system.

Oh, I totally get it; the eRoll is great for folks like me that really need that physical simulation, and in my case, it worked really well, it was like "pretend smoking", and the pretense was just close enough to fool that raving addict in my head. :D

I like this iTaste for many of the same reasons I liked the eRoll; obviously it's not a cigalike, but it's small and light and rather elegant (and I like that it's squared off, and I could lay it down without worrying it would roll off!). I could be wrong, and I might have to surrender my "esthetic" preferences if the SHTF with the gov't idjits, but I just don't think I'd like one of those bigger models. I was looking at pics of the Provaris the other night, trying to figure out what the big deal is, and I just don't see it. To me it looks like... well... the electronic devices found in many bedside drawers. :D

But it's nice having 2 of the things, as I just discovered in my panic -- when panicking, I always did want a cigarette! :D What's really cool is that although I really was in a panic that I had broken this thing, not once did the cigarettes even cross my mind -- I just went straight to the PCC and got the charged eRoll!!

Let me give you my take on the Provari (Realise I just got my "Your Provari has shipped" email).

1st the iTaste and eROll for that matter do not have replaceable batteries. Eventually the batteries will fail to charge anymore. With the Provari and all the other replaceable battery devices you just buy new batteries to stick in it. With the iTaste and eRoll you toss the whole device and start over.

2nd The Provari has a proven track record of extreme durability. I have read about them being run over by 18 wheelers and still working. Taking a dunk in a pool by accident and once dried out in rice still working.

3rd the Provari comes with a 1 year warranty and an option to buy a 2nd year. Even when out of warranty the repairs are fast and cheap if they are needed.

4th the Provari fire at a much higher rate of electrical cycles so it is much smoother than many other regulated devices. Some people can tell this difference and some can't.

In short it is a quality device built to last years which is why I got one.

Was it you that had a problem with REOs cutting into your hand?

I figured out why mine don't. I hold it with my index finger on the button and the side without the door against my hand which puts the rounded bottom of the reo on my hand not the sharp edge. Also my hands are really tiny so that bottom really doesn't even touch me.

Yuppers, that was me. If I hold it to thumb fire the corner bites into the ball of my hand, the meaty part by my thumb. If I hold it like you do to fire with my index finger the corner bites into heel of my hand, the edge under my pinky. I like the Reo, I just can't hold it :(

The dramamine is actually a relic of my drinking days, when I'd take it both to go to sleep, and fight nausea. it's my crutch I guess, or after this many years, probably a placebo effect -- an hour after I take it, I'm ready to go to sleep. What's weird is that I can sleep in the daytime just fine, with no medication whatever. I think it's that I'm by nature very much a night owl, so to sleep at night, I need some little something. But day sleep? No problem! ;)

That wired feeling is why I don't take the sominex/benadryl stuff, unless of course I actually *need* a benadryl to sometimes supplement the zyrtec -- the zyrtec handles my cat allergy pretty darn well, but if I ever get one of her fine hairs in my eye, good lord, it's like there's a thorn in there, and it WILL NOT stop itching for hours, without a bit of extra allergy medicine. But after spending my whole life catless and fascinated with them, and married to a cat person, I'm just really glad there's zyrtec nowadays!!! :thumb:

I have problems going to sleep before 1 or 2am myself.
So, after work, I come home, sleep for 2 hours, then stay up until 1 or 2 and go to bed. Then I can wake up at 6:30 refreshed.

Used to be, I would have my pipe set up and start smoking before I even brushed my teeth.
Now, I get up, brush my teeth, get ready for work, go online for a bit... THEN start vaping.
If I am working at home, I don't stop until I sleep!
At the office, I do discrete vapes. When no one is there to see me, I take a puff and blow it into the fan on my desk. I vape minty flavors at the desk, and no one has complained so far...

There! Did I keep it on topic with all that added stuff about vaping?

That does make sense, esp. about the batteries! That was one of my primary objections to the disposables, it's one of the "consumerware" things you use and throw away... and I just HATE! that mentality, it's all about quantity and not quality -- I used to do QC in a plastics factory, but I was made "redundant" -- like quality is redundant!! So I can certainly understand that!!! Also the warranty -- good lord, that's better than most computer monitors! I got a Samsung for a little extra $$, because it had a year warranty and the cheaper one only had 3 months, and I've had this one now for nearly 6 yrs, and it still works like a champ -- I have to wonder if the cheaper one would be! Of course it's only a 19" widescreen and I want a 23", but even when I get one, this monitor will probably still be working just fine, to go with my husband's computer -- he might even turn it on, if he had this nice monitor! :D

Like I said, at some point I think I'll probably have to sacrifice my esthetic sensibilities on these, especially if I want to make sure I can continue vaping even if the idjits do something even more stupid than they're already prone to. And probably, those sensibilities will change, the longer I vape! Those kinds of things, the quality, dont show in pictures, not really -- they show in the USE of the product!

Those of you that DIY, what nic strength do you buy? I'm thinking of getting 100 mg/ml to save money. But, it makes me nervous to handle anything over 48 mg/ml. Should I be worried? I know a lot of people DO buy 100 mg/ml. But, I never have.

I would think "worried" only if you spilled it on yourself. I've heard that nicotine can penetrate skin, though I have no idea if that's true of that particular strength or not. I'd be sure to wear full protective gear -- goggles, apron, gloves -- don't know if any further measures would be needed...

I use the 100 mg/ml BUT I have alot of chemistry experience under my belt so I am not uncomfortable working with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Be careful
Make sure there are no kids or pets around
Wear gloves, Goggles/glasses, apron
have a water supply nearby
take your time

You do not want prolonged contact with your skin it can make you pretty sick and can be deadly to small children and pets who do not have our tolerances to it.

Clean up spills immediately and carefully.

Wash any areas of skin contact immediately

Edit: What I actually do is mix a portion of the 100 mg/ml down to 36 mg/ml strength in other bottles. Then when I make up my juices I use the 36 mg/ml as my base.

I was watching my three year old grandson today and he asked me what my vv v3 was, I told him it was my e cigarette ; (that's what my son, his dad, calls it, didn't want to confuse the little guy) he gives me a puzzled look and says "Not a cigarette, granny"....

Out of the mouth of babes...:)

Surrounded by cows and wheat
well I utterly failed at being quieter today :p

Maybe I need another vacation just so you all get a break!

No. With age comes benefits, and one of them is saying you are going to do something and then doing something else. There's other benefits,too....but I forgot what they are. I do know being free of aches and pains isn't on the list, pretty sure of that one.
