Those of you that DIY, what nic strength do you buy? I'm thinking of getting 100 mg/ml to save money. But, it makes me nervous to handle anything over 48 mg/ml. Should I be worried? I know a lot of people DO buy 100 mg/ml. But, I never have.

After everything I've read, handling anything over 60 would make me nervous. I'm just not gonna wear rubber gloves to mix nic... seems to me the gloves would make me even more fumble-fingered and likely to spill something.

My first two nic base orders were 48mg, still have over half of the second one left. On my last order, to stock up in case of vapocalypse, I wanted to get 100 and immediately cut it in half but chickened out and just got 60. I wanted this bottle for long term storage, and didn't like the idea of breaking the seal right away.

Andria, I have the same problem with my wife's VV3 when using T3S's on it, sometimes no contact... easy fix though.

Straighten one leg of a large paper clip (small ones are too flimsy for this), take clearo off VV3 and stick paper clip end into the little hole in the bottom of the coil head.... NOT TOO FAR, just a 1/4" or so. Push it sideways and wiggle while pulling outwards on the clip. This pulls the center pin out just enough to make good contact.

Good luck with that combo, it's a good one (well, except for the occasional "no contact" issue). My wife loves hers, and hasn't smoked even one Slim since... going on a month now.

well I utterly failed at being quieter today :p

Maybe I need another vacation just so you all get a break!

Myrany, we don't NEED a break from you! You're so knowledgeable and helpful, and everything you say just makes sense (read: I agree with :) ). It wouldn't bother me, and I suspect anyone else either, if you were in every-other post.

We now return you to your regular programming:

Folks, I'm lovin' these Aerotank bases on my Protank 2's (and clones). I originally bought 3, one for each my PT2's, but yesterday ordered two more after trying them on my gold PT1 clone (from FT), and the Dbox Puritank (a PT2 clone, but larger capacity). I'm just ecstatic that I can now use the PT's on any of my mods, even the ones with deep 510 wells and threads all the way to the top. I keep the air adjustment rings wide open.

My mods so far:

Mechs:
2x Sigelei #20 (my favorites)
1x Sigelei #8 (hardly use)
1x Magneto clone (like it in '350 mode with the Igo-L, looks good/works good)
1x Brass Sentinel clone (a beast, hits like the proverbial freight train... no voltage drop under load)
1x ePipe (18350 only)
1x Nemesis (mixed edition) on order from FT (pretty, shiny, nice)
1x Bolt (black) also on order from FT

VV/VW:
1x Vamo v2 (my beater, my workhorse, my coil building platform, my "go to" when all else fails)
2x iTaste VV3 (if you'd call them "mods")

Clearos in daily use: All use Kanger single coil heads, rebuilt

5 PT/PT2/clones
5 Evods
7 T3S's

On the Evods and T3S's, I drilled out the air holes in the skirt to ~1mm, much better!... no "suction induced" gurgling. And from now on, I'm buying only T3S coil heads, since they also fit the Evod/PT but not vice versa.

Need. more. coffee... later.

One day last week, I needed 2-300 feet of Cat5e cable for a job, so (kicking and screaming, I'm a country boy) I went "to town"... Columbus GA.

My very first stop was Rite Aid pharmacy, to finally pick up some sterile rolled cotton... MUCH better than the cotton balls I found in the bathroom when I first started with cotton wicks.

Between the fresh cotton and the Aerotank bases, these 3 Protanks have performed flawlessly. Nice clean hits, easy draw, good taste, good wicking, no leaks, no gurgles, no problems whatsoever.

I keep saying I need to shift my focus from hardware to juice, but that hasn't happened yet... still using Hangsen RY1 @ 1 drop/ml. and my wife is happy with Cappuccino at the same ratio. I just hate the idea of potentially wasting money buying flavors or premixes online, only to find I don't like them... kinda like buying mail-order shoes, how do you know if they'll fit/feel right?

Next week, I will order some flavors, making a list as we speak.

(now if I can just get Janet H to give me her recipe for "Janet's Heaven) :D

Is that the one with pomegranate in it?... or was the pom. in one of Iffy's recipes?

I use 100 mg, as long as you pay attention and wear rubber gloves you should be fine, the key is pay attention to what you are doing

*YOU* might need a vacation, but we certainly don't need one from you -- if not for you and all the other helpful folks last night, I'd have just sat here and cried over my "broken" iTaste!!! ;) :thumb:

What is going on here...is it my computer or is it ECF? Every time I change pages I get highlighted words in text and eventually a popup ad. I'm really hoping it's my computer and not ECF. If it's my computer I'm pretty sure I know where it came from, but don't understand the technology that creates it on random websites. STRANGE!

Some browser toolbar? check the settings and see what addons might be installed. Or use a spyware removal tool that might help as well.

Sounds like you picked up some malware. GO download CC Cleaner and run the registry cleaner then download Malwarebytes and run that. You might have to do that cycle a couple of times to clean everything out.

People who aren't comfortable with handling 100 mg nic., really shouldn't. Safety is more important than saving a few pennies.

No. With age comes benefits, and one of them is saying you are going to do something and then doing something else. There's other benefits,too....but I forgot what they are. I do know being free of aches and pains isn't on the list, pretty sure of that one.

I know two others;
1) you can say whatever you like and others just have to take it (I seem to not have reached that yet!);
2) you never again have to worry about dying young. :D

I crocheted three lanyards yesterday, and I am finally happy with the result. It is easy, and only took an hour. The final one was in crochet thread.

Make four chain st, join. Make 22 tr in loop. Chain four. *Make one tr crochet in previous row, chain one, skip one* for one round. Then, make *one tr crochet, chain one*, repeat around in spiral, until you get the length you need. For my VAMO, it was ten rounds. Finish with chain one, double crochet, chain one, single crochet. Chain enough for cord, cut and pull thread through. Continuing in same direction, thread cord through the final row, tie off. THEN, picking up cord at the transition, pull it back out. This serves as a drawstring, so there is no way it can come loose. The net serves to help you see the screen and buttons without difficulty. This is stretchy enough that it will work with almost any tube mod.

OOPs. I made a mistake.

Hey, I've been thru there, on the way to/from FL... hottest place I ever visited, I'm pretty sure! ;)

Yep it's exactly like that, but I haven't found any flavors at the local shops that I really like, that aren't like $14 for a 15ml bottle... when I could get the same stuff online for a lot less.

That's why I like places that offer 5-10ml for a much lowr price, so I can find out if I really like something before I spend a lot on it -- but then you gotta deal with shipping... *sigh*

Someone really needs to get cracking on the teleportation technology... ;)

Hmmm, wondering if Albany GA is near Albany NY? They got the same name after all and I'm getting really, really tired of winter. Overnight low below zero again but at least it didn't snow yesterday

For some reason, down here they say it differently -- in NY it's ALL-bunny; in GA it's al-BANNY. Weird huh? I thought so too, when I first heard it. Like that town in Missouri -- it's not muh-DRID.... it's New MAD-rid.

flintlock... have you ever noticed there's somethng strange about the reported time on the "sincemylastcigarette" banners? I went there at first to create mine, and gave Feb 27 as the date of my last smoke... and it's saying "5 days and xx hrs"... I don't think that site understands that Feb only has 28 days! (this year!)

So I'll use the one they provide here, until I've saved more than $11 on cigarettes... :D

Andria

I've actually have saved WAYYYY more than $11, since cutting down so drastically before quitting... but none of these banners seem to take that into account)
