Lots of small towns between there Myrany. The old railroad settled most of them. vaping is growing around here. 4 shops that I know of within the last year. Several diy juicers offer good prices. The strange thing is we are like the smokers, still hiding out in the smoking section or stealth. I had a young man give me a high five at the centurylink arena the other night when he saw me vaping in the back of the concession stand.

I got the PV salute from a trucker on I-49 the other day. FIrst vaper I have ever seen in the wild.

I don't like saying where I am in open forum but lets just say we are famous for christmas festivals and meat pies :)

Andria, it gets better daily. My old routine was to toss on jacket, open the garage and fetch the paper from the driveway. Spread the paper on the trunk of the car and smoke about 3. Now, I grab the itaste or mvp, get paper and come inside. I still stop outside the door and look at the ashtray and smokes (wife still smokes) and walk by. I still catch myself grabbing my shirt pocket for a pack. Just muscle memory and 42+ years of doing the same.

My first month I kept getting up and heading for the front door while fishing in my pocket for a nonexistant lighter. Usually about the time the blast of hot air hit me I realized "DUH! I don't have to do that anymore."

Glad you got it going Andria. You now know how to troubleshoot this problem! Big step for you :)

I drop nic level big time after supper or my insomnia kicks me bad. You will find many people do something similar.

heh... I reminded myself of my mother, when her computer is "broken"... hahahaha... that is so funny... recently she asked me to figure out why she couldn't get on the internet... she's on AOL, and when it tried to log her on, it said "Your account has been blocked, contact... blah blah" So I asked her, did you pay AOL this month? She said she had cancelled that credit card. I said, was that credit card being auto-billed? She said yes... I said, well then, you can't get on the internet because AOL hasn't been paid! ahahahahaha... my husband and I just about died laughing. So at least now I can not-panic, the same way I not-panic when I get the Blue Screen of Death!

I don't seem to have insomnia too much anymore, at least not going to sleep... but sometimes I just cannot STAY asleep in the morning... especially if I have the alarm set, that's the surest way for me to wake up like 3 hrs before the alarm goes off and just not be able to go back to sleep. It's infuriating, but I dunno what to do about it. At night I take Dramamine, because it works better than sominex/benadryl, it gives the "heavy eyelid" feeling of genuine sleepiness, but sominex/benadryl just makes me feel like I'm in a fog.

Andria, the symptoms you had with the itaste vv do happen sometimes. It's usually a poor connection, like it seems to have been this time, but it also sometimes happens when a coil is wearing out, or just wasn't very good to start with (quality control isn't always that great on these things) and on occasion it really does seem to just be random.

I recommend checking out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...476013-innokin-itaste-vv-v3-owners-group.html. it's a huge thread, but you can skim through a lot of it, and there is a lot of good information.

I'm the same way recently with nic level, or I attribute not falling asleep due to nic. Odd though because the last thing I did before locking up was smoke. But I am vaping more than I would smoke, especially since inside is okay now. I've started using 6mg late evening, down from my normal 20. Everything I've been ordering recently has been 18mg.

I find myself walking around in circles, wondering where I'm going... then it occurs to me, ah, a cigarette, but no, this stainless steel thing instead... but I feel so aimless sometimes, if it's not too cold out I go ahead and go vape out there.

I still have that open pack of smokes sitting on the bookshelf by the front door, it's got 12 cigarettes in it. I don't want to smoke them, but I'm afraid if I toss them or give them away, true panic will set in. They say the most effective way to quit smoking is just, do it. I think it's that human will element. To me, what keeps me from smoking them is that I choose not to (and I have this other thing which I actually do like better!) -- got sober with a 12 pack of beer in the fridge too, and it was a comfort just knowing it was there, thiough I was so sick, there was no way I could or would drink it. the only thing I could do then was drink ice-cold V8 juice, which somehow comforted me. Go figger! :)

Some of my habits that went with smoking I just made new vaping ones to replace. Others I just had to duke my way through. I found it was the habits/rituals that went along side of it that were tougher than actually quitting.

I can't really lower my nic... I vape at 6.
Yesterday, I took a nap and was turned the wrong way in bed. The air dried out my sinus and I got the beginnings of an infection.
So I took one of the juices I don't like too much, added nic to make it 12 and some extreme ice flavoring... Wonderful infection relief!
But I did go to my normal vape about 2 hours before bed.

That mtbakervapor Extreme Ice is fab for numbing where the air hits the breathing passages!

Your mom can use aol without paying. The only benefit for the subscription was customer support. My wife still uses...actually she refuses to use MS outlook, aohell. We quit paying probably 2 years ago and everything remains the same, even the updates - which plays havoc with java for her online gaming.

I prefer not to take anything honestly. Meds have a habit of rebounding on me and instead of making me sleepy get me so wired I can't slow down at all.

The dramamine is actually a relic of my drinking days, when I'd take it both to go to sleep, and fight nausea. it's my crutch I guess, or after this many years, probably a placebo effect -- an hour after I take it, I'm ready to go to sleep. What's weird is that I can sleep in the daytime just fine, with no medication whatever. I think it's that I'm by nature very much a night owl, so to sleep at night, I need some little something. But day sleep? No problem! ;)

That wired feeling is why I don't take the sominex/benadryl stuff, unless of course I actually *need* a benadryl to sometimes supplement the zyrtec -- the zyrtec handles my cat allergy pretty darn well, but if I ever get one of her fine hairs in my eye, good lord, it's like there's a thorn in there, and it WILL NOT stop itching for hours, without a bit of extra allergy medicine. But after spending my whole life catless and fascinated with them, and married to a cat person, I'm just really glad there's zyrtec nowadays!!! :thumb:

Since we have several recent quitters here let me give you a bit of a heads up on something many go through.

THE RULE OF 3s
There seems to be 3 common crises points in the quit process that coincide roughly with when certain chemicals in cigs go out of your system. Exact timing varies a bit person by person.
3 Days
3 Weeks
3 Months

If you know they are coming they will not take you by surprise. Consider a bit higher nic when it happens. Vape through it. IT WILL PASS

While reading about ya'll's 'old habits' I had to laugh at my own.

At least once a day, I 'look' for my cigarettes......on the side table, on my desk, on the kitchen counter.....where ever. It takes about 3 seconds for my brain to say "what are you looking for?" and then I remember, I don't smoke anymore! And it always gives me a chuckle.

Nite all!

Big Hugz!

For me I think the whole thing is about habit, so many years of smoking, because I'm only using 6mg - 7.5mg of nicotine, which ain't very much! Once I am over the whole smoking thing, I don't think it will be hard to just stay at 6mg. But I'm making an effort to change a lot of things; the tea I love so much tastes extremely weird to me right now, so I'll have to give it a miss for a while, go back to drinking soda or hawaiian punch or something. Or maybe iced tea, since it's nearly spring. And the thing about taking the iTaste to charge in my room while I sleep, so I can start vaping soon after waking, instead of coming out here as I always have done, fix the tea (or coffee or whatever), then... that's when the craving will strike. This morning I filled the eRoll with 9mg, and sat down here at the computer with my eyes half-closed, after starting the bacon -- I kbnew once I ate, I'd be ok, because vaping after eating is every bit as satisfying to me as smoking after eating always was. I figured that one would be the hardest, but it was actually the easiest! :D

That's good to know... I already knew that I couldn't *really* feel successful till I had passed the 3 month point... I quit cold turkey once for 3 months... craving and miserable every waking minute, till I finally just couldn't take it anymore. It's so great with this, I don't feel that miserable craving feeling! And it's partly the nicotine, sure, but mostly it's having something to do that *simulates* smoking in a very realistic way! And I'm still amazed that I made the progress I did, using that eRoll! I was really glad I had it, when I was panicking over the iTaste, but it's nothing like as good. But good eniough, apparently! :D

Glad to hear that the problem with your tank is fixed Andria.

If you look at how the tank works, you'll notice that part of the coil contacts the chimney, the tube in the center of the tank, and the contact area is flexible, rubber like. Since the coil turns into the base and the base turns into the tank, turning the base when you're removing it or putting it back on can cause the coil to turn in the base at the same time. So whenever you refill check the coil to make sure it's not loose in the base.

As you've already discovered finger tip tight is the best way. I learned that phrase from a vaping video, meaning not as tight as possible with your fingers but just firmly.

Please do not take what I said earlier about me and the ego-C setup as a knock on the eRoll. From what I understand the eRoll works beautifully for alot of people. I just wasn't willing to risk it after my experience with the C which is basically a larger version of pretty much the same system.

Was it you that had a problem with REOs cutting into your hand?

I figured out why mine don't. I hold it with my index finger on the button and the side without the door against my hand which puts the rounded bottom of the reo on my hand not the sharp edge. Also my hands are really tiny so that bottom really doesn't even touch me.
