I apologize if my previous posts today offended anyone. My intention was to be supportive and point out that rebuilding does not need to be difficult. I am trying to help as best I can and would never intentionally do anything to stop someone from asking questions and getting all the invaluable assistance that is offered here. My sincere apologies. All of us need help at some point in this journey and I only hope that I can offer what little assistance I can. This is a great group, with many supportive members, and I want to be seen as one who of those who is here to help.

Jake - I didn't see your post as negative or condescending. I just took it as 'this rebuilding doesn't have to be complicated' in an attempt to encourage people to give it a try. Like, you don't have to be an electrical engineer or have ohms law committed to memory to build a coil.

But that may be easy for some of us to 'see' who understand what we're doing and have been through the trial and error. But to someone beginning it can be daunting if they don't understand the basics of what they are doing. It's easy for some of us to know fatter wire less resistance, more wire more resistance and all that. We're all at different levels of knowledge and skill when it comes to rebuilding.

This is probably going to get me a long vacation from ECF but.......I don't freakin' care. Your questions kicked off one of the most informative question and answer sessions that I have been fortunate enough to be involved in in a long while. The only stupid questions are those that are not asked! To the people who choose to make fun or otherwise try to dissuade you from asking them, they are the ignorant ones. Anybody want to pick a real fight?........,pick on someone your own size.

I am so outta here for real.

Where's the not like button. Lulu don't leave us! We'll miss you.

Thanks guys. I'm sorry, but that comment, along with the 1st one, made me feel like an idiot and just because I don't know how to rebuild yet, certainly doesn't make me stupid, it just means I didn't have the proper information until today.

Thanks to everyone that pitched in with the answers to my multitude of questions. With your help, I feel very confident in my abilities.

Much Love!

Nobody here is an idiot and we're all here to help with questions anybody has. Starting something new can be scary and confusing - just ask some of the people here who helped me when I started DIY. The nic really scared me at first and then it became fun and took the fear away. Now it's a piece of cake. You just keep asking and watching videos and all of a sudden you'll think this really isn't so complicated! Kind of reminds me of when I first learned to drive a stick shift. So many things to remember and it felt like I needed another hand and leg. Then all of a sudden I "got it". That's going to happen to you too.

Deb, I have been vaping for 2 years and 3 months and I don't know how to rebuild anything. I buy tanks and clearos that have replaceable coils.

BTW, hello to everyone. It has been a while. Hope you all are doing great.

Hey there Lilac! Nice of you to drop by and it sounds like you're doing just fine - good to hear! Replacing coil heads is a good thing. Whatever floats your boat and keeps you happy vaping! It's the way it should be!

Hi, Janet. I couldn't agree more. We all have one goal...to stay away from cigarettes. As long as you are doing that, you are a success.

Well hello there Lilac. It has been too long since you dropped in to say hi. I hope the world is treating you well.

I'm like you. Been at this for well over 2 years and haven't attempted rebuilding anything. At least I have learned to dry burn to clean :D

Please, don't be a stranger.

Hello, nice to meetcha!

I just started vaping about 3-ish wks ago, and while I *always* appreciate it when folks give me links for rebuilding, I feel like, hey, I just started here! Give me a minute to catch my breath!! :D

And I don't know WHAT I would have done without all you helpful people the other night when I didn't realize that the coil could come unscrewed along with the base of the tank, and it was acting so strangely and I thought for sure I'd broken it!! AARGHHH! heh.. tonight when I refilled it, the base came completely OFF the coil, even though i always tighten it anytime I take it off... for maybe a second I panicked again... then I just thought, wait, this is because it wasn't just loose, it came unscrewed completely, so I should be able to just pull that out nice and straight... and I did! I felt like giving myself a cheer for not being such a scaredy-twit! :D got it all cleaned up and put back together, and it works like a champ! So maybe in my own time, when I do get to this rebuilding thing, I won't feel *quite* as intimidated about it.

I've been vaping for over a year and eat up the conversations about coil-building. But, I've only built about a dozen coils myself and none within the last 6 months. I'm very happy to leave the coil building to those who find it a better investment of time and effort than I do. It's the same thing when people who really know their stuff talk about electronics. It's fascinating but I'm only able to latch onto general concepts; the fine points evade me.

What I'm saying is that I really don't think anyone meant to sound condescending in the recent discussions of coil-building, resistance, wire gauge, etc.
If I ever feel that this group is anything less than friendly and helpful, I go find a contentious Provari thread (is that redundant?) and read a few posts there. Then I come back here and all I can see is abounding peace and love, lol.

Hey, can anybody tell me why a joose with graham cracker flavoring took 8 days of steeping before it mellowed out and became good? I don't know what's in graham cracker flavoring but didn't think it would require more-than-typical steeping time. I was wrong. I've been vaping this joose since day 2 after mixing it, but it didn't get it together until today.

hey, I have a question... is the vendor discountvapers.com a reputable vendor? It's always so hard to know, with online folks you haven't done business with before.

thx!
Andria

Been a while since I have bought there but didn't have any problem when I did. If that helps at all

Sounds ok to me. It's just always so hard to know, when you see a deal that seems too good to be true... maybe it is? ;) I might have thought that about that fabulous price on ARO pyrex at MadVapes, but I had ordered from them and communicated with them before, so I knew it was for real... plus, they were sold out of black, silver, and blue, so I figured others found it as irresistible as I did, and I'd better snap up a red one before those are all gone too! ;)

thx!

Discount Vapers is rock solid reliable and trustworthy. It's a true mom and pop company; a married couple does everything from website maintenance to order filling. I've made about 10-12 purchases from them. One time they sent me a different color clearo than the one I ordered and they sent me the right color as soon as I emailed them. All the other orders have been quick to arrive with no problems at all.

My pet peeve is why do they call it a flavor wick. It is a bad fix for flooding since the stock has crappy coils. The flavor wick mutes the taste and inhibits vapor production. With the exception of the dragon coil you don't but any wick on top of your coil for any other build. Good coil / good wick then no need for a wick on top.

Well. They are called flavor wicks because if you remove one, you get more flow to the coil, and the flavor is different.
They were not designed to act as a flow control per-se, it they do. :)
