I've had one since last October. Really like it, good performer. I think the review you watched was on the first edition, and the + and - got swapped. Since you point the topper to the right for the screen to be right side up, the + is on top, i.e. up.

There have been reports of some problems, but mine's still going fine. I imagine those reports were from a bad batch, and that's (hopefully) corrected now.

If you don't mind shorter run time, it is a telescope and it's pretty small with an 18350... but I like to keep it loaded with a '650 for all day and then some :)

I like that it's all stainless (brushed, not a print magnet at all), and I personally prefer the multi button mods over the single button type. You can - with some practice - call up resistance, battery voltage without having to keep punching the button.

And one of it's nicest features, to me, is the ability to LOCK your settings so they don't get changed accidentally. (Hold + and - for about five seconds, display shows LOC. repeat to unlock.)

Thanks SO much for your review David, you covered everything I was wanting to know.

You're right, the review I watched from Pete was on the 1st edition, so the backward button issue is no longer an issue then, a big plus.

I was planning to run a single batt so I could leave out the extra tube so it wouldn't be, as Garyoa1 would say, such a "war club".

I also like the SS build, good to know that it's not a fingerprint magnet, that kinda stuff bothers me, don't know why.

I also wanted the multi button setting, I'm used to that with the vv v3s I have. I like the locking feature too, those buttons look to be close to where your fingers would be, I figure with my luck my longer nails would an issue.

Another big plus, it has eGo threads, most of my toppers are eGos.

I'm thinking, for the price, it's a decent first mod.

BTW- since the sight was down I spent all day surfing for sales. Thanks alot ECF!!! I spent another $50 on some drip tips a Hypertank and coils!!! Got a great price on the Hypertank though. Just $12.00. Lowest I've seen!!

:toast:
That's what I did too, ended up ordering myself a Provari, so now I can blame it on the forum being down :)

I go through 10 ml in 2 days using regular BDC tanks. I'd hate to think what I would go through with that. I was eying the Kayfun Lites when I was window shopping online last night. Might pull the trigger on a rebuildable here soon. Would they work well on a mechanical mod with a 18350 battery and no VV/VW?

I was looking for a Kayfun light, but they were all out of stock...Where did you find one?

Hi ya all, what a great blog this is, I actually cried reading these stories!!! Well at 58, crying seems to come easy, as we now know how precious life really is. I vaped my first e-cig on September 11, 2012, my first hit, I immediately started to cry, inside the store... and you all know why , as I knew, I can finally stop smoking after 40+ years!!!!!.... it was the last cigarette I smoked. I had no hope left, of ever quitting my butts, I loved them, but hated being a smoker. Anyway, 1.5 years later, I am a vape freak!!! I don't care if I ever stop vaping, I am researching it like a maniac. When people that don't vape, ask me, when will you give that up, I answer, as soon as you give up your caffeine. I also ask them not to have their coffee near me, as I don't want to inhale their caffeine steam. just saying. I just ordered a Vamo 5, and am very excited. I vape Holy Grail only, as I love it.

I sure do wish they'd get that 'view unread post thingie' fixed. Getting annoying going to the end and back paging to find where I left off.

Thank heaven there's a section for us oldsters, especially ones with health problems. That description fits me to a T. ---1 1/2 pks a day for 46 yrs and after I year on vaping, 1 year vacationing from vaping and finally back to vaping, I'm down to 5-7 cigs a day. Before anyone says anything, I realize that I haven't quit but it's been extremely difficult for many reasons, but I'm trying.
Dave

Hi Dave - welcome to the porch. You've found your home here on ECF. Nothing to ashamed of going from 1 1/2 ppd to 5-7 a-day. You've done a good thing, so feel good about what you've accomplished. Don't pressure yourself and i'm sure the day/time will come when you can leave those last few in your past too. :toast:

Good info, I'll add that instead of a lighter you can buy rechargeable torch
Amazon.com: Gun Metal Color 90 Degree Angle Refillable Butane Torch Lighter with Hands Free Flame Lock - Metal - 2 3/4 Inch: Everything Else
I keep this tiny one in my vape box. I only say this because lighters can get hot while torching. It is about the same size as a lighter.

It's in the lower right compartment so you can see the size

I like that little torch. Although I prefer the one I have because it's free standing, would be good for a travel kit.

Glad to see ecf is back. So weird, they went down and all hell broke loose in my life at the same time.

I've been informed that my worker's comp checks are being docked 40% now and 25% of what's left goes to my attorney. The 25% I was aware of. The 40% they just threw at me. So now I have to find another place to live, meaning I can't afford this one and there isn't anything cheaper for over 100 miles, so it will be a serious, rent a uhaul type, move. I was barely making it to start with, no way I can do this on 700 a month. This has been going on for 2 yrs and every time I turn around they are screwing me in some way, from losing my insurance, to accidentally forgetting to mail me my checks for weeks at a time and now this. I am on disability. no longer able to work, but they insist I look for a job. Makes no sense and you wouldn't think they could require a disabled person to look for work. SMH

This so sux and I am SO over it. Sorry bout the rant, but I'm about to lose my mind. No risk of losing my 'quit' though, can't afford smokes!

Oh goodness patches - I surely couldn't 'like' that post. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. Like others have offered - if there's anything we can help with just send a PM and let us know.

(BTW - if you're serious about a car charger - the inexpensive 2-bay Xtar chargers come w/ a car charger.)

Well, I finally got back in. I changed my SN from lilac7779 to lilac7977, changed my password and had to start over. Not sure why it was so hard for me to get in.

Yikes #1 - you had to change your username to get in? Yikes #2 - your new username shows as 'moved on'. That's usually implies the admin's have disabled the userid. Hoping to hear from you soon so we know your getting 'in' to ECF.

Oh, BTW, gettin' ready to load up sum vapemail DV Orange Cream...

Well when your feistiness simmers down, let me know if you liked/disliked the DV OC. I ordered a 2nd bottle after the 1st tank from the 1st bottle. I like it.

Hello - and glad you found your way to the porch. We also have a back porch waiting for you. On the front porch we try our best to talk about only vapin' topics - but the back porch is let's us go where ever the chit-chat of the day takes us.

Good for you Dave
Quit counting the ones you smoke, and count how many you don't ... your way ahead of yourself, compared to before vaping.
So your a WINNER

Thanks doughboy, there is nothing anyone can do, unless you know an apt for 400 a month? I just needed to vent and get it over with. This too shall pass and although I may not like what happens next, I'll vape thru it.

I'll ask around and keep an eye out. Few people I work with live out your way. BTW- I graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville highschool. My parents moved here right before my senior year.

Yeah, the size kinda turns me off, there just doesn't seem to be a whole lotta choices in ladylike replaceable batt vv/vw mods out there.

Any particular stand out things you like or dislike about it?

That's why I was shocked my wife bought an MVP2. She hated my big ZMAX. She uses mostly spinners but she just bought 2 Smok pipes because when she saw mine she like how small it was and how it fit in her hand. With just an atty on it isn't mush like a pipe IMO. I extend the drip tip length on all my pipes. I saw different colors of the same type mod on DHgate so I'm sure they're coming.

Well, I finally got back in. I changed my SN from lilac7779 to lilac7977, changed my password and had to start over. Not sure why it was so hard for me to get in.

Careful. I just got an infraction from the ECF mods for having 2 accounts. Apparently I had one awhile back that I never used and forgot. Made a new one recently when I joined up. I'm now an ECF criminal with a record.

I was looking for a Kayfun light, but they were all out of stock...Where did you find one?

I was looking at the clones. Sorry, I should have said that. I watched some youtube and seems some of the clones are pretty good. I thought that would be a good price entry point for my first rebuildable.

It truly is an awesome forum, I really don't think I could have done this without these cool people. You sound just like me, loving the cigarettes but hating everything about them, and having completely lost hope of ever being able to quit - but I did, almost a week ago now! But it doesn't make me want to cry, it makes me want to DANCE!!! But, that might have to wait just a little, till my lungs clear out a little more. ;) My mom gave me that song and dance about when would I quit doing that? Even my husband is talking about, "when you go down to zero nic..." I just looked at him like he had lost his mind. I don't get it at all, they badger the holy hades out of us for freakin DECADES for smoking, and we finally quit, and their demands just don't stop!!! :-x

And also.. the other day I mentioned to him about getting one of those little mount thingies to put on the dash, to hold my iTaste... he goes "I don't want you putting anything on my dash." Again, I looked at him like he had lost his mind -- I said, "excuse me, WHO'S dash??? MY name is first on the truck loan, because MY credit score was better! And now that I'm no longer smoking in MY truck, I believe I'll put any damn thing I want to, on MY dash, to hold MY *non-cigarette* !!" He got quiet for a minute, thinking this over. Then he nodded and said "You're right. Anything you want to do in this truck EXCEPT SMOKE is just fine with me."
