You know you have arrived when you see ole smokin buddies that out of habit offer you a cigarette and you easily can say no and mean it. Those times were very hard for me my first six months without a cigarette.

It's weird to me; if I *see* someone smoking, it does bring on a craving -- but smell it? GAG ME WITH A FORK! All I have to do is smell it, and that craving vanishes, poof!

And yeah, I do sometimes get cravings, but they're so mild, it takes me a while to figure out what's happening. I really do think that my "guardian angel" brought me here, so I could finally get off the smokes without suffering so much; it's been so easy compared to the previous attempts to quit, I have to figure it was just the right time. :thumb:

Congrats to all the March Milestones! Every one of them is a cause for celebration! Whether it's 1 day or 10 yrs, it's BIG!

I made it to 3 months, a few days ago. For me, 90 days is the turning point, don't know why, but my brain thought that once I hit 90 days, I had it under control. It had to be 90. I guess I should trust my brain more.

Well that's a wonderful milestone too. Good for you!

I thought 30 days was going to do it for me. I often remember a Ben Franklin saying that a new habit takes 30 days to form. Well after a month it was a new habit - but it took me another 30 days before I quit the old habit altogether.

My anniversary is somewhere around the first week of March, too. One year. I have a mild case of cartotank fever.
Wow, a whole year! That's fantastic! You're a veteran vaper now. I couldn't believe it when I hit one year. Actually, I couldn't believe it when I hit one week! Congratulations!

I think you're right. Three months seems to be about how long it takes to become really settled in and sure. Congratulations on your 3 months and your new life!

Well I guess I'm a NOOB then cause I'm on my second day off the analogs. IF I make it till the end of the month, that will be my quit day. Still, working my way down from a pack and a half to 4-5 a day was a big step, so I'm happy with that. Either way its a success.
Nope, not a NOOB (which I think you meant newb). Go back a few weeks and you'll see AndriaD about where you're at and folks just offered up encouragement to her.

You've got the right approach, look at how many you aren't smoking and be happy with that and don't worry if you smoke 1 or 2 yet. Eventually you will find vaping instead of smoking is working for you too.

Congrats, Kim!

Celery/grassy taste: as others have said, steeping and/or a tiny amount of lemon juice or vinegar will cure the issue. Tobacco flavors are almost never good until they've steeped.

Chest tightness with high VG: yep, me too, discovered that early on. I use 60%-85% PG.

MBV is another Washington state based purveyor of vaping supplies that would be affected by heavy taxation if the state enacted such.

I don't know what got into me! I had planned on mixing my next batch of base at 16 mg/ml (stepping down from 18 mg/ml). But, I went crazy and mixed it at 12 mg/ml instead. I guess I just got a little impatient with testing my limits.

That means that once I add flavoring, I'll be at 11 mg/ml. I'd better mix a really small batch the first time, just in case it tastes terrible. This should be interesting!

Congrats Kim, 0mg, Patches and to all who have made the switch...it's all good. Welcome Raths and other new occupants on the 'Porch'.

It's doable and like bsoplinger said...

Hi and welcome to the porch Raths. Let me offer you congrats on day 2 of changing your life around. If'n you're like most folks on the porch, it's been a life time of smoking - so you're doing good. I didn't give myself an 'deadline' for doing my last smoke when I started vaping. For me, that worked and eventually I just stopped those last few I was doing along with vaping.

I stepped down from 18mg to 15mg as a my transition to 12mg. I've been on 12mg a couple months now and don't seem to miss the higher nic levels. I remember my doctor telling me that if you lightly lower you nic level, your body tends not to notice and you settle in at the lower amount easier than making a significant change.

Found the "Lucky 7 Vapes" thread with their ECF15 15% OFF code...so...

$1.99-15% = 1.69/12ml. = 14.1¢ per ml.

$10.99-15% = 9.34/120ml. = 7.78¢ per ml.

How does that compare with DIY???

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...juice-1-99-120ml-juice-10-99-plus-15-off.html

Geez - hard to think you could get ready made juice any less expensive than that. Really in the ballpark of DIY.
