I'm asking what everyone else does. For instance do you start wanting a pumpkin pie juice, or a hot chocolate in colder weather, & fruits in summer?

Man! Am I glad I don't smoke. If $5.91 is a special offer I hate to ask what the regular cost is.

My cartons were about 65.00 when I quit 2 years ago. Single pacs were more expensive. 6.70 or there about.

I gave mine away to a bud that begged me for it over and over again - he collected them. I had mine engraved in each country I had visited with the countries name in their language - I don't know how many times I have since wished I had kept it for nostalgia sake...
I gave my Zippo to my nephew when I quit. It was my Dad's & had been in Korea with him. My nephew wad bound for Iraq.

Wow. That's a lot of money. Glad I'm not spending that anymore.

A friend emailed me some new bipartisan technical term for this year’s presidential election.

Electile dysfunction
Irritable ballot

Enabler! :D

If you think Northern KY gets cold, you should try Northern Indiana in January.:D
Of course as sure as I type that, someone from even further North is gonna remind me that there are colder places than Northern IN.

Just wait until Von Vape gets back. ;)

yeah.......right.........that's no big deal!! Why does it happen? You just wait for em to go away? You take meds for em? Can't they cause big strokes? I'm worried bout this, can ya tell????

Tutu, wait. What?! No crashing. No burning. No repeat episodes. This sounds like a Very Big Deal! We want only good days, ok? So ... What's the plan?

@Iffy, this is longer than I wanted it to be but went into more detail because sometimes it's not worth your time to challenge a doctor that's made up their mind in their own (arrogant) interest. They know everything, sometimes at your own expense if you don't know to look elsewhere for a better answer.

3.5 years ago when I got the stent in my shoulder, I started having mini strokes 2-3 days later. That was the only way I could describe it to the surgeon. I kid you not, he stuck his hands in his pockets, pointed his nose at the the ceiling and said, verbatim, "Doesn't sound like mini strokes to me, any other questions?" When I pressed the problem in later appoints, the reception was even worse.

I would have short term speech, coordination problems, etc., depending on how it hit me. Had massive memory problems which were devastating beyond words. There were just over 100 mini strokes in all that I logged in a "diary."

A friend spent hours every night on the computer in a sled dog racing forum while I tried to relearn how to type and construct a coherent sentence. (I am forever indebted to him. Thank you, Len.) Spent many hours every day playing solitaire on the computer against the clock to practice retaining information. It wasn't fun, it was challenging and most importantly, it worked.

Over six months later I fled back to my local vascular surgeon who told me mini strokes are very common with that type of surgery. She was appalled and shocked, despite seeming to have a close relationship with the original surgeon, perhaps a student? She offered to send me to another specialist, said there is medication if he ordered it. I declined since I hadn't had one in a while. There have been "blips in the matrix," as I call them, since then but I'm not taking some BP drug for 6-12 months for something that may take as long to materialize.

It's not the drug I'm worried about, it's the "fillers." You take a drug from one company and all is okay. You get switched to another by your infernal insurance company and all hell breaks loose. All drug pills are not created equal, except in the eyes of the holy FDA, just like "tobacco products." Screw them. I'd rather endure a few mini strokes here and there, thank you.

As for the problems a few days ago, I'm pulling out of it. If there are more problems, it's off to the local vascular surgeon. If the stent has to be redone, I don't know what I'll do. The short version is the surgeon shouldn't have been able to get the stent in there once he realized how bad it was, but he did. He saved me from having my chest cracked and running a bypass up to my brain. His arrogance saved me from that, my friends saved me from a hell I wasn't even fully aware of at the time. Thank god the FDA can't regulate your friends.

@LittleBird, did I cover your question about what was the plan or did you mean about my friend?

I mutilated a post and had to delete it. :( Humble apologies. Hopefully I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Here Deb. Load this pic in your phone and look at it when you get lonesome for the beach. We live about an hour away from the beach which is way to far for me. But I loaded this pic in my phone so I can at least look at the waves when I cant be in them.

Edit: To keep on topic and the mods happy - it's great to be able to vape outside and not freeze to death :)

A couple of weeks back I realized I hadn't been to the beech in eons. Almost six years. I've never vaped at the beech. :( Not once.

My mother loves the ocean, long history of sailors in her family. Tide pools in Mexico, Hawaii, Scotland... All the little critters hanging out in there to explore (shut up Iffy). Sound of the waves rushing up on the beech, shore birds running up and down the sand with the waves, pelicans skimming the water, humpbacks breaching... Thank you for the photo, brought it all back to me. :)

Columbia® style shirt, cargo shorts and phlip-phlops, my normal daily 'uniform! Gotta have lotsa pockets pher vapin' gear...

Where manufacturers get off thinking women don't have a need for pockets is beyond me. I buy men's cargo pants and work shirts with a ton of pockets. One has to be at least big enough for a mod, another for a flashlight, cell phone, etc. And that's just for a short walk. That's just for a short walk. Forget those ornamental pockets that could only hold a spare drip tip.

Does anyone use different flavors for cool/cold weather vs warm/hot? This is my 3rd winter as a vaper. I know that about this time 2 years ago I was still a noob & vaping commercial juices with, what seems now, much stronger flavors. Even a year ago I was just starting to think there was too much flavor & began diluting them with pg/vg. Then by Christmas I was thinking seriously of beginning diy. Now, I seldom buy a premade flavor, & when I do they get diluted. I noticed today, with the cold snap, I was thinking of wanting a good hot chocolate with marshmellows flavor.

I've had the same experience with flavors becoming overwhelming. Four drops of TFA in three ml is almost overwhelming now. I haven't had the seasonal thing, until people start talking about it. :grr:

NY... about 10 bucks.

That seemed low so googed it:

In addition to the cigarette tax there is a New York state sales tax which adds on $1.60 to the price. The cost mentioned earlier of $12.50 is just an average of the state's cigarette prices and some researchers have found prices all the way up to over $14 a pack
Prices Of Cigarettes By State | Fair Reporters

That was a year ago.

Almost 5 years since I put it in my desk drawer ... but I still miss flicking my Zippo. It was a life long companion.

Geez ... Janet and I were in Aiken, SC this week. Just got home last night.

Oh my ... no more of this, ya hear.

Think it took two years before I completely quit randomly looking for my bic. It was an odd sensation when I'd realize what I was doing.

I'd quit doing it if I could just figure out to quit having it happen.

I gave mine away to a bud that begged me for it over and over again - he collected them. I had mine engraved in each country I had visited with the countries name in their language - I don't know how many times I have since wished I had kept it for nostalgia sake...

PM me the address, I'll retrieve it and send it back. Don't tell anybody, it'll just be between us. ;)

I'm partial to those momentoes, I feel the grief and agony.

Sorry, not to be a hardazz, but I would have challenged (not ask) him to produce the study to back up his claim!

Doctors are not infallible and all knowing! I'm willing to bet that we know more 'bout ecigs vs. cigs than any MD/specialist we all have visited.

Sorry again, but I'm soooo frackin' tired of da bovine scat... <sigh>

See the above.

I've noticed a decrease across ECF except for the Stocking Up thread.

Me too, but even the stocking thread.

Me too, but I'm on another forum more than here, and I've been noticing the same there, too.

Nermal, thank you. Good to know it's not just an ECF thing. So many old members reappeared when the reaming came out it surprised me. Most soon faded away but a few stuck around. We'll see how many come back when the next deadline comes up. Plus winter.

Stocked up so no questions or sales frenzy. And recuperating.

Just ordered five new tanks, no new sale as a motive.:sneaky: No vape mail sucks.

I hate to admit it - I have had doctors like that also. Really sorry you had to go through something like that just because of someone's arrogance...

Yep, better than having to carry around a purse huh?

Oh, no doubt in my mind that he gets colder weather than I do. I have no idea how anyone lives in places like Alaska without freezing to death. Meanwhile lately I'm thinking about wanting to move somewhere warmer. Problem for me is I hate hot as much as I hate cold. Find me a place where it stays in the 70s year round, and I'll move there.

    Ummmm… that would be Hawai - 70s year-round.

However, here in Florida we deal with the extreme heat (90+) the same way people deal with the cold up north. We stay inside. The difference is that during the really cold winter months up north it's cold 24/7. Too cold to be outside - period. Down here early and late in the day it's not so hot that we cant do outside chores :)

If they put pockets on women's clothing, they'd have to charge less...

Thank you for taking the time to explain your situation! Unfortunately, it is not a rare incident.

    I'd rather bruise a doctor's ego than condone a medical mistake/misdiagnosis!

    Thank god

Have been following along, it seems lately.

I made an appointment with a VA doctor since they have not felt the need to keep up with my disabilities. I mentioned that I stopped smoking a few years back, but that I still use a small amount of nic via vaping. He didn't like that. I told him that his information is wrong, probably bias and my health is much better according to my civilian doctor. He didn't seem to accept that. I lodged a complaint and said that I do not want to see him again.

I, and we, should find doctors that are "practicing" medicine and are humble about all the situations they encounter that they know less about. Anyway, the Director did not call me, so at my follow-up appointment, I found him. I had case studies prepared and I explained why BT & BP don't like this new smoking cessation technique. He was humbler.

Point is, I had to fight for my rights for better healthcare.

On another note; I see more DIY posts. I wonder if it is just the times. Less hardware coming out, but people switching to DIY and posting on it.

Nice to sit on the porch and follow football and ECF. Vaping a Strawberry Glazed Donut. Touch sweet, but aren't they supposed to be? Maybe I should switch to a Mocha flavor.

    Hope all are well.

We got hot, 90+ for a few days. We got cold, 16 for a few days. Mainly we got a livable change in seasons which I really missed living in south FL. :) Don't go to around Memphis though. Flatland on the Mississippi muggy! :D
we were in Memphis, Jackson, Nashville,, (in love with Kingston) liked Knoxville on our way to Myrtle Beach. (too touristy.. loved Tybee Island though). Tennessee is so pretty,,2 tunnels = Cool!
