Jup. That's what was proposed, Dave but it got watered down to what we got.

It's going to require a huge tax increase to implement. Medicare has had people paying into the plan all their lives with SSI/MC deductions from paychecks and medicare coverage doesn't start until you turn 65.

At some point we have to figure out how to cover everyone with no buildup of funds in the till.

IMHO, Dave... jup. However, your health care payments go away. Here sales tax is 7% BUT federal sales tax is another 6%. But a federal sales tax in the states would be illegal. So the only problem would be how to collect it. Like school tax. If there wasn't one, everyone with a child would likely pay $100 or $200 a month to send each child to school. But no one notices the "socialist" in that law cuz it does a lot of good.

Most everyone thinks they pay enough taxes to cover all services, but we know how government thinks. Our medical community is used to driving expensive cars and boats and taking exotic vacations. Medical coverage in the U.S. might be hard to design and implement.

Drug companies spend an insane amount of money to lure doctors into their fold. I have several friends who are in pharmaceutical sales. They think nothing of laying out fancy lunch spreads in conference rooms of hospitals for the opportunity to push their brands to administrators and doctors.

Jup. Now if they wanted to double or triple or even quadruple taxes on vape stuff I wouldn't complain IF it went totally to support health care. Now what some may not realize, here, even a doctors visit is also... free.

I remember a value added tax on electronic equipment when I was 12. I saved my birthday money to buy my first transistor radio. My Grandma took me to buy it. There was a 10% value added tax on it, so I walked away disappointed and $2 short!

I get that the government has to find ways to raise revenue. The best way would be to boost high tech employment and get the taxes from boosted American salaries. I like Chinese products and low prices, but automation has eaten a lot of jobs in the American factories that are still here.

What do we do when automation completely takes over?

In uncharted, automated future, will we have jobs and will they be boring? - MIT Sloan School of Management
The factory of the future may be run by just one man and one dog.

“The man’s job will be to feed the dog,” Professor Erik Brynjolfsson said May 20 at the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium. “And the dog’s job will be to make sure the man doesn’t touch any of the controls.”

Legs, thank you, you go frozen dude! :thumb: Has your snow melted yet?
Like I told Kenna if you can't help your friends who can you help. Snow is gone 60 degrees today. Now if it goes like the weather has the last few years it will be 90 in a couple weeks. But there is no climate change, lets burn somemore coal. Do people really believe that? They've got the most unqualified group of idiots running this country that I can remember.

Medicare was a welcome relief from high health insurance rates. Before MC my wife and I were paying about $1500/mo for health insurance together. Now, her cost is about $800 and mine is $107 a month out of my SS check and an additional $120 for a supplemental policy. In 3 years she will hit 65 and hers will be similar to mine.

Medicare is a good thing. It's too bad we can't have the entire country covered by the same plan.
Man that's my situation exactly. We pay $1335 a month of that $180 is my Medicare Supplement the rest is Ginnys. She turns 65 in October so that deduction will go from 1335 to 360 for both of us but they will take $110 out of her pension check and the Plan D is $35. Cheap at the price. Then we will buy a newer car. Plus she still has to pay 6% of all her medical bills that will go to 0 but prescriptions will cost more. She only has to pay $2 on COBRA for anything. Mine comes to about $1500 a year.

Texas h afew other states took a lump sum single payout. Nothing was borrowed against it. Ecigs are taxed the same as anything else as far as I can tell. We did impose age restrictions, h I've never even had to sign for anything unless seller requires a signed proof of delivery. I don't shop in b&m's, so I could be wrong. I ordered my Hex Ohms from Austin & Dallas but no restrictions. I may order some juice from CV in Austin just to see.

Yep anything I buy online that the store is in WA state I have to pay 9.8% our sales tax rate but we have no state income tax yet. You can bet if they ever get that through none of the other taxes will disappear. Needless to say if possible I don't order anything from stores in WA. I did my Provari's but if VapeNW has a sale it isn't really a sale for me.

Hey I got a question. This flavoring from Ducks Juice Factory is supposedly 95% water 5% pg then you add 20% to straight VG. So if I was using my Russian flavors which I use at a max of 2% most are like 1.25% so in 100ml with 20% flavor your actually adding 19ml of water. So If I was to use my flavors and straight VG if I added say 18ml of distilled water I wonder if it would make it too thin.

While it is good news for Indiana, unfortunately too me my good companies already closed or moved out of state. Lots of damage has already been done that can't be undone.

That's likely to be the way here in PA too if they get rid of the 40% tax on juice and vape gear and replace it w/ a reasonable tax only on juice. A lot of shops have already closed.

95% water and 5% pg. Neet. Wunder how it tastes good wit no flavorz in it.
Seemz two me if'n ya wanna add vg insted o' pg... add vg insted o' pg.
It's kinds thick even with my K5's. I figure their pure flavor is in the 5% of PG. It's gotta be strong if you had just the PG part it would probably be as strong as these Russian ones but when mixed with 80ml of VG the Ducks comes out perfect for vaping. You would only need 1% but the juice would be too thick. I mixed some PG with mine to thin it out but it is still pretty thick at about 88/12. I should just try 30ml and see. If I chain vape I'll almost get a dry hit.

Hey all, been a LONG time since I dropped in here. My bad.
Maybe having to go on Medicare this year kinda reminded me that I'm comfortable here?:D

Anyway, hope you all are getting by.
Welcome back! It's about time! Make yourself comfortable and stay a while this time.
Breaking news - The folks in Indiana overcame the BS legislation in Indiana that Pence signed into law.
Yay! I'll take every little bit of hope I can get.

Yeah but you use duck juice so your adding water. Just try some straight VG sometime.

Wut makes u think itz water? Thin, yes. Like most flavorings. Water? Unlikely. Not to mention whenever I mix anything it'z 100% VG. Ducks isn't the only flavor I use and don't use PG for anything. A lot of mixes use 5%. Doezn't madder. Vapes fine.
