An other thank you! I am taking an online dog training class. I am copying all the lectures to a Word file, with links to the videos. When the class is over I don't know if I will have access to the videos so to be able to download them I will have them. I paid for the class, so I figure having them for personal use only should be OK.

Spent the evening downloading the class videos, embedded them into the Word file and backed up to a flash drive

vaping related, ai vaped while the files were downloading. This is the front porch after all and I like to follow :rules:

Got to the point where you guys were talking about weird problems with the BP and all of a sudden the site erased a bunch of likes I'd given and tossed me off ECF. No joking. Kinda spooky. :w00t:

Yes, I definitely prefer them over the original ones. I notice the taste of my eliquids is much better to me...with the cotton wicking. When the old ones are the same price as the newer ones with the Japanese Organic Cotton Wick...I always buy the newer cotton ones.

I'm glad you're having better luck with them than I am. My latest problem is that I put in a new coil, try to take a vape and the mod throws an E 1 error. Happened three times. Tossed the first coil into the rebuild jar, saved the second and the third I put into a mini Davide and put it on a Spinner. Worked fine. :grr: I've now come arounnd to the idea that the base of the Davide is the problem and will try a new (old) one next time I have to switch out the coil (the 4th coil works fine on the "old" base).

I tried to go there today also and I had to re register. Their site has changed a lot. Haven't tried to place an order again but will. It was really screwin up earlier.

Legs, if the site is still messing up on you, look for the wire you want on Amazon and sold by Temco. A while back I wanted to try SS but Temco said they didn't have any. Googled it and found it on Amazon so ordered from them there. Same fast service, packaging/label and everything. I do have Prime so don't know if you'd be charged shipping or not.

Sorry I forgot about this on my earlier post, think @Diver9543 was also having problems but his showed up anyway a couple of days later.

Wonder if it just got messed up with the response to the spam attack?

I missed a spam attack? :(

Someone needs to contact Semi, and see what went on this morning. He appears to have deleted all his history in response to what was happening.

Someone is picking on Semi? :grr: Bring 'em on. :sneaky:

Solar battery chargers, anybody know a good one. I know zip about them but thinking I may really need one this summer.

Two days ago we had an intense t-storm with a bit of hail and a lot of snow. From that we got multiple fires. Today it was 90. Tomorrow near 100 and will stay there for at least five days. We have the worst fuel load I've ever seen and this year may well be the worst fire season we've seen. Dead trees still keep dropping power lines almost daily. We usually don't get fires of consequence until late July.

My point is, I would like to get a solar powered battery charger that could charge a couple of IMR 18490 batteries, smoke permitting. We also use 18650 in our flashlights. Nothing fancy. Any ideas? Where do I start?

I have some solar up-lights that I got specifically because they use rechargeable 18650 batteries and can be used to charge my batteries in a power outage.
I also have one of these:
Amazon.com: Anker 21W Dual USB Solar Charger, PowerPort Solar for iPhone 7 / 6s / Plus, iPad Pro / Air 2 / mini, Galaxy S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4, LG, Nexus, HTC and More: Cell Phones & Accessories
and one of these:
Amazon.com : BioLite Wood Burning CampStove First Generation : Camping Stoves : Sports & Outdoors

but the biolite website has even more ideas these days

I use this to download Utibes
YouTube In MP4 - Download YouTube videos in MP4 format
If an add jumps up in your face, just close it & start over.
Remember that MP3 takes up way less disk space than MP4, and MP3 can be viewed full screen just as easily. The app gives you the choice of what format you want.
The app always works better if you vape when using it. ;)

I'd be frustrated, too, if that happened. Maybe you're right, and it's your base on the Davide that's "wonky", and the coils are actually OK? I hope you can determine what's causing it for sure.

I haven't had any problems with the JOC ones so far (knock on wood). I use them, and I also order enough for another person's stash when I order more for mine. She hasn't told me of any problems with them either.

Yes, that is correct. Temco's site showed that SS316L was on a 3-month backorder. I decided to go ahead and order it so when it was back in stock I would already have it ordered. I placed the wire order on Monday morning and it was delivered on Thursday.
One thing I did with the other SS I had on hand was I cut into 6-inch pieces and straightened it. I am now going ahead and wrapping coils and saving them in an old pill bottle. Last night while watching a movie I went ahead and wrapped 10 coils. I found a 3mm screw in a junk drawer in the workshop and it makes great spaced coils. When I install the coils I can screw the coil on the 3mm screw and use it to hold the coil while placing the legs around the head screws. I think I read about this procedure on ECF and it is a great time saver.

That's a neat idea! I might try that myself! But I do have a couple questions for clarification: When you're done wrapping the coil, you have to unscrew it then, to get it off the screw, right? It won't just pull right off easily like on a non-threaded nail or mandrel? (I'm assuming the threading on the screw isn't really fine or tight, and might require the unscrewing to remove it.)

My magic screw is three inches long, so I can use it for storage without having to screw the coils on or off. <kinky>

So you just leave the 15-18 coils you've made...on it? And store the screw and coils that way?
It is not long enough for that, maybe seven. If it were longer, like seven inches, I might. :w00t: That way, there is no chance of a frustrating tangle. However, I haven't done that for a long time, as my coils last. I have 24 devices in my rotation.

A 3" screw and only 7 coils fit on it? You must be making some really long coils then! Mine are little bitty short ones at 1.5-1.8 ohms, made with 28 or 30ga. wire. :D

Oh, OK, you edited your post after I posted. I get the not getting tangled up idea as a reason for leaving them on the screw.

I wrap maybe 4 coils at a time & put them on a big safety pin & latch it. I have several safety pins & keep them in an Altoids tin. When I'm going to be gone for days I just pack the tin of coils & one of cotton.

    close enough.
6 wraps of 30 ga around a paperclip & silica string comes out 1.8 ohms for me.
Don't say that, or I could end up going back to silica. Been a member of the rayonnati for several years now.

I had quit vaping for six months but really started missing it so I'm back again. This makes three times I've quit and each time I gave away all my stuff so vape mail is inbound from about four different online sellers at this moment.

Had to get another work vape : Pico + Nautilus. Got a Sapor V2 and some kanthal + KGD coming as well. I did keep my Coil Master and tweezers and stuff so I should be back to fogging up the house next week some time. Until my stuff gets here I'm using a Joyetech eGo AIO right now with my old standby, Mr E Liquid RY4. It's not the best vape but not bad for the price. It sure beats what I started vaping with.

What do I need to stock up on and how long do I have before prohibition begins?

I hope everyone has been doing well. Lots of familiar screen names, I see. Nice to visit the Porch again.

Almost forgot the most important part: Smoke free for 2.5 years thanks to vaping. :w00t:

Holy cow. I've got 3, usually with the same joose in all of them.

Bbbbut, what's the point of that? I usually have about 10 going, all with different flavors. Some are morning WAKE UP!, some after dinner, some with dessert.... ;)

Start with a recall on all the stuff you pif'ed?

For me, it's rebuildable toppers (and spare parts for those), replaceable battery mods, maybe a mech or two for real last resort, and lots of 100 mg nic in the freezer. Other things - i.e. kanthal, SS wire, rayon, cotton, PG and VG - shouldn't be impacted.

Theoretically, it starts in August. We'll see...

    And welcome home! :thumb:
