Been a strange day for me. My device stopped firing. I took 30 min trying to figure it out.... registered the coil, SAID it was firing, but no vapor. took the tank off, cleaned all contacts, put it back on... no vapor.

Put it aside and switched to another device, and it worked just fine.
An hour later, I went back and grabbed it and noticed....
It was set for 1.1 W.
put it back to 8.1 and it worked just fine.

I have an almost 3 yr old Istick 20 (yea, still working!) that is on it's last legs. I set my wattage, take a puff, fine. Later take a puff and almost nothing. It has readjusted itself to like 5 watts. So I set it again and it is fine for awhile. Getting to be a PITA and the battery doesn't last as long as it did, but at 3 yrs old it certainly has paid its dues! I have 2 others almost 3 yrs old and still working too! Not like they used to, but in a pinch they still work. It's not like I don't have plenty of other mods to use, but these have been so handy for out and about and dog shows for stealth vaping ;)

I just had to plug in a dead iStick. I haven't taken one that low in well over 2 years!

yeah when I jammed those hot coils into my mouth, it sort of redefined the phrase "warm vape"

I'm in no hurry to get something I never expected. Besides, if you get sick going to check I would have to kick you in the tush instead of giving you hug if we ever meet.

clnire, I still have a few of those in use! I'll be so sad when they go.
I still have my first "real" mod...an istick 20W mini. It still works...somewhat. Doesn't hold the charge as well and the flavor is not what it should be but it's my spare and my last internal battery mod.

I've been using the same tanks exclusively for a little over 2 years now: the Kanger Subtank Plus. Being a wild and crazy guy, I just ordered a pair of SMOK TFV8 Cloud Beast tanks. The main advantage to me would be that they're top-fill, but if they're less leak-prone than the Subtank Plus tanks, that would be an advantage too.

So the other day my youngest was sitting at my desk, and he said to me "daddy I cut it"

Serves me right for leaving my juice out.
He didn't taste it or get any on him did he?

Things like this make me glad that I don't have to kid proof my house anymore. It's great fun having little guys around but the stress has moved into entirely different categories.

Gread little mods. I put the ego adapter on the first day and only use ego threaded toppers on them. Even at the fiddly stage, I still love them!

I started a brother of mine on an iStick 20 and Nautilus mini at christmas 2 1/2 years ago. He still won't consider using anything else. (He has learned to buy clone coils from FT for 80 cents each and says they perform identical to the OEM coils.) I would use my N mini more but don't want to depend on coils I can't rebuild.

My 20w bit the dust when itvs threading stripped. I have a couple of 30w [emoji7], & a couple of 50w. One 50w stopped working right. I'd stored it for a few months & pulled it out to use & it wouldn't fire. Tapped it on the desk, & it worked. Turned it off, it sat a few, picked it up to use. No bueno. Tapped it again, & it fired. No clue, so it's going away. The second 50w that I use a lot I just caught autofiring & reducing power after I just put an atty on it. Took the atty off because I couldn't get it to turn off. It hit auto cut off before I could get the atty off. Now it seems fine.

My Nauti's are stored in the vapocolypse box. Along with coils for them.

Sounds like there is either an intermittent connection on the board or possibly wiring. Either that or some of the metal contacts are slightly warped and making/breaking contact.
