So today i slept late after being a little too sore to fall asleep.
I have now had my coffee and brunch and a stroll around the internet, but the cats knew I was really going to get up and do something non-cat related. First my ugly little new guy* curls up on my shoulder, then my old guy stretched out full length on my (rather large) belly.

Since my main purpose in life these days is holding up cats, I don't think I'm going to get to my DIY until evening. More over-sweet Jasmine tea for a while.

* He moved in in February when we had a longish stretch of -20 temps, but not until after he'd lost the tops of his ears. Great story I should probably take to the back porch.

It was just a mess of this relative wanted this and that one that and everyone wanted the embroidery. After being made to feel distinctly that for many I was only part of the family while my adopted parents were alive and therefore unworthy of getting anything. I um...well I was not nice about it.

It isn't all bad. I still have an Aunt and 2 cousins I am on speaking terms with. I have the hubbbys family who I get along fine with. I have a few good friends. So I am not absolutely alone.

And I have the satisfaction of winning the great embroidery war. ;)

Edit: Ever have one of those nights where every mod you pick up needs a battery change? This is number 4 tonight :p
Good for you for sticking to your guns! You were her child no matter what they think. Shame on them.

I'm having 'fun' today vaping all of my DIY errors and oldies. I have been putting off a mixing session and got caught in my own procrastination when I had 3 competing uses for my only sit-down counter space, one of which I could hurry through and try to forget I was going to do it right. But potting houseplants had to be done as soon as they got here - and then to have a place to move them to I had to put together a tension-pole with lots of little plant shelves, since almost all current sunny spots are occupied by cats. That ended up taking 2 days since it involved a lot of loosening and tightening little knobs - another thing my hands don't do too well, and I want to give the cats a night to check it out before I move my plants to it.

So tomorrow I ought to be able to get to my DIY, but I need to make up a big batch of my base to start with, and that will be a lot easier to do when I get my new 2 liter beaker on Monday. I've been using a 2 qt pyrex measuring cup/mixing bowl but it weighs a ton-and-1/2 and has wildly inaccurate measuring lines so I can only use it to dump measured stuff into.

So, for tonight and tomorrow I have my Jasmine Tea that I over-sweetened trying to give it more body, and my Burley Menthol that doesn't work well at lower ohms and higher wattages - it tastes too much like smoking tobacco now - tootle-puffing it tasted more like good pipe tobacco smells before burning. Then I have some smaller amounts of fruit flavors I never finished. I still have a very small amount in the tanks of my Earl Grey Tea and Mixed Mint to have an occasional puff of.
I hated having to vape things I'd bought or made that I wasn't happy with just because pay day hadn't rolled around yet. And hated having to spend on commercial juice h drop in coils. Very happy I found my DIY adv so I just mix 90ml of that once a month & move on. That alone saved me enough to stock up on nic, more K5s & HexOhm's.

I got a letter in the mail today from the head of our local/regional health care system (almost all hospitals and clinics around here) telling me vaping is evil and dangerous, even just one puff, and to sign up for help quitting. Yeah, like all of the help I got from them quitting smoking.
I'm coming up on my 6th vapeversary, maybe I'm wrong thinking that it's way way better than my 42 years of smoking.:-x:censored::-x

Yepper, toss out da baby wid da bath water!

I'll wager a sizeable sum that all affected were vaping TangoHotelCharlie, regardless of any denials.

All investigative reports that I've read/heard of involved vitamin E acetate. That is an oil element in the nottobespokenofhere.

Just am so sad that all too many others will not have the opportunity to kick the 'bakky habit and extend their lives!

Yeah, sick and scared people are going to cop to vaping illegal street drugs. Sure they are.

The VitE is used to thicken the product, after it's been cut, which apparently thins it out. Much of the street stuff is made using butane, which can be a problem. Also read some reports of them finding an herbicide that, when heated, breaks down into hydrogen cyanide. Yeah, good stuff.

So, obviously, make it ALL illegal, so it's all street stuff.

Make America SANE Again!

You would think that someone lying there, maybe dying, would want to say, "It was those SOBs that sold me [that horrible crap] and I want them tracked down and put away so they can never do this again!"

My doctor was thrilled over 6.5 years ago when I told him I stopped smoking after over 50+ years and took up nicotine free vaping about a month later. He even told me I could vape in his office (but I never have with other patients around). This morning I spent the better part of two hours with him (with yet another game changer added to my already long list), but he still supports my vaping verses smoking. (He's been my doctor for 11.5 years.)

Hello room. Thought I'd drop in and say hi. I'm 56 yo and been a vaper for 10 years with no intention of quitting. I used to spend a lot of time on this forum then life (aka work) got in the way. I'm now retired with lots of time.

I use a Smok priv-x and a Procore tank. I just bought a Smok Mag 225 but I haven't been able to use it yet since I ordered the batteries from Amazon and they haven't came in yet. Hopefully tomorrow they'll be in. I mix my own juice.

Next up I wasted a hellofalotof money when I dove into the Provari 2.5 mods thing. Besides some standard PV's I also acquired a couple of prototypes (a 1 of 1 Coyote Military in an earlier tube, a 1 of 3 Stealth) and another limited edition Stealth Mini 2.5 that were very costly. All have extension caps and Loki Rings, all with multiple high end Euro (VapourArt, By Leo, Kir Fanis, etc) and custom made Phiniac tanks with Sophia flow control RTA's to drive them, drippers, Atmistique Hippo's, Tatroe bases/ext sleeves, their Pass-Thru system, Serenity holsters to carry them, endless other accessories and a Zapper V2 to make NR-R-NR ready wires for rebuilding the By Leo Sophia RTA's. In the end all still just MTL gear that that couldn't even fire sub ohm coils so didn't get it done for me. While I had an in at ProVape, I also had a falling out with them that immediately retired all of this gear in early 2014. The gear has been pretty much out of site out of mind ever since. I have a few old pictures of some of them. Also have pictures of some of their tanks, drippers, accessories and tools, but I think these 5 will suffice.

Nice ProVari collection, shame you don't use it. :( Thank you for the photos!

Well full tilt panic sunk in over all the bad vaping news. One last order put in last night for another solo kit, another pulse BF X squonk kit and 5 rebuild decks that work in either the Cerebus or the SMOK baby tanks (I have both).

Still waiting on several slow boats from china for prewrapped wires and extra squonk bottles.

This whole situation has tripped of my anxiety/panic attacks. :(

I KNOW I have enough but that doesn't seem to be much comfort at this point. All I can say is my hubby has been a SAINT through all this.

My husband has been very supportive too which makes this point in time easier to deal with. He also gets how these bans will make people go back to smoking and likely eventually die because of it. Maybe I should have him writing letters to politicians about saving vaping..

Ok if this picture works here is a comparison of the Blotto on and Alien and the Cerebus on a Solo.

Also this is the embroidery I did for my mother I fought to get back in the family mess after her death

Be damned if I was going to let family take it after all the nastiness.

The embroidery is gorgeous and I'm glad you got it back. My brother and I were adopted at birth, we are a real family and that will never change.

My husband's parents had nine children, half of which don't get along, and fewer that bothered to visit or even help their aging parents. There is almost nothing your family could have done that was worse than what most of those greedy :censored: did after their parents died, and the father died because the hospital he was in fed him lunch and then sent him off to surgery where he aspirated and spent days painfully dying. But hey, infighting and greed is more important than trying to make sure the next patient gets better care.

I'm so glad you got the beautiful and sentimental embroidery back, I've seen the ugliness up close and just want you to know that I "get it" having seen it first hand. I'm sorry you, and my husband, had to go through that at such a hard time in your lives.

Wouldn't happen to be ( :-x ) Adventist would it? They're nazis and that's not a term I take lightly.

Welcome to the porch, happy to have you here. :) It's so late here all I'm going to say is if Iffy offers you a rocker, pssst, find a different one. (He's know to, hell, at this point famous for, hiding whoopee cushions in them. It is funny though when someone falls for it. )

Hi and Welcome to the porch. You've come back just in time to catch up on all the vaping news before the Feds decimate the vaping vendors and community come May of 2020.
