For me the choice is take some really nasty drugs to control my Depression and Anxiety disorders with side effects that for me were absolutely debilitating or keep vaping a low level of Nic. Even my Doc agrees the low level of Nic is the lesser evil. She had the great fun of dealing with the drug side effects for me and doesn't want to go back there any more than I do.Another twist that could have a huge impact for many folks. It's way past time for you nicotine addicts to get on the band wagon to get off the stuff. I know... easy to say maybe but that should have been a goal from the start of taking up vaping IMO. That would have been my plan anyway if I had been addicted to it.
This has no affect on my vaping at all as I am not addicted to nic, have never used it in my DIY.

I have no intention of quitting nicotine. I like the effects and have some hopes that it will delay the onset of Alzheimer's and/or Parkinson's. I intend to continue using around 85 mg of nicotine each day, or just over 30,000 mg per year. (This will use up about a liter of my 100 mg/ml stock every three years. I think I'm good for all time.)
EDIT: corrected the math

It's great you were able to quit nic. Really it is.
Quitting nic just isn't realistically possible for some of us.
Did you know that some with geriatric mental afflictions (Parkinson, Alzheimer, dementia, etc.) are treated with nicotine patches?
Sooo, being 72 y.y., I'll keep nicotining as a prophylactic measure. Regardless, thank you for your concern. View attachment 847313

I hope you're channeling the FDA and all other 3 letter people when you call all of us nicotine addicts, and don't truly mean to insult us. Most everyone here is using nic for reasons valid to them . So what business of it is yours or the GOV or anyone else? Some actually choose nic, when they can go no nic, for the benefits that iffy touched on.
Congratulations on not being a nic addict, you're getting off a bit cheaper than the rest of us, but do you drink coffee, caffeinated soda, hot chocolate? Do you use anything regularly that is not a need, but a want? Are you an addict? And I'm stocked up because I'm not letting ANYONE tell me when it's "way past time to get off the stuff". AGAIN, that's not up to you, the GOV, or anyone else.
I continue to use nic because I still work and have to deal with people in my work. I may or may not quit when I retire. It's 100% up to me.
When I was still in the Navy, I attended an Article 15 (Captain's Mast) for a guy who was caught with THC in his system during a random urinalysis test. His excuse was that his mom had glaucoma and he didn't want to get it, too. The Captain thought it was a unique excuse but it didn't help the kid.Did you know that some with geriatric mental afflictions (Parkinson, Alzheimer, dementia, etc.) are treated with nicotine patches?
