I use a jeweler's phillips of known diameter, great holder as well :)

I still run kanthal in all my KFs, Bolivar, but can't see that there would be any problem.

Lack of manners?

Does anyone know what is the lowest a KF can be built to?

That Lavabox 75 ought to be pefect for throwing in your pocket. Single battery and all aluminum. Will be here tomorrow.
Lack of manners?
I wondered about that with Steve, I just figured he might be younger and does a lot of stuff on the weekend.

I think as low as you want depending on material but like I told him I don't think the KFL has enough AF for it to work well with Ti I think it would get hot too fast. Now the K5 is another story I've built it down to .25 with Ti and it vaped perfectly.

We'll see if his place to get liquid is any good. I think I'm the only one that tried it and I got a 10 pack of 15ml bottles for $25. They are all recommended for between 5 and 8%. I will be sure to let you guys know. The flavors did sound really interesting if it's any good.

Imo the only issues would be to not wind up going over the temp of the insulators, not all of the same type of material. So in TC I suspect it's a non-issue.

Thank you all for the replies. I ate something and omg, thought I was gonna die. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner.

Did try a drop of flavoring in per tank refill and it helped a lot, go figure.

Thought it might have been @Iffy that talked about the saline solution but he acknowledged the post and said nothing so don’t know who it was. I'll just get some and try it.

@FlamingoTutu, what are you vaping? Was the flavoring you used PG-based? Both PG and VG are humectants, though I thought VG has a higher humectant value. Dunno, but I'd guess it's the lack of humidity that's at issue. I'm wondering if another solution to the arid air might be a humidifier...

Thanks for sharing about the bats. Do they squeak back at you?

I was vaping unflavored at 80/20 PG/VG. Well aware of the humectants factors having had to deal with it when I first started. Took a while to adjust but I finally did it, once.

We use a swamp cooler in the house so the humidity is high inside. I have the same dryness in my mouth, lips, throat and lungs inside or out. It's definitely the switch from flavored to unflavored.

The bats initiate the contact by flying over us and squeaking. I whistle back. They keep circling and squeaking as long as I keep whistling back at them or until they get bored. Some are real motor-mouths but it is, as they say, completely awesome.

go find a good book or take your laptop,, into the smallest bathroom,, turn on the shower (hot water) and steam the room. meantime seriously blow your nose, brush your teeth,, make sure you are using rayon. and see if lack of humidity is your problem. i live in humid as heck houston,,, and had to go buy a humidifier earlier this year. it worked until the humidity came back.. ---or go buy/borrow one.

@kross8, thank you. The humidity is high in the house (see above) and low outside. Same problems either place. My nose has no problem running day and night though. The only constant seems to be the unflavored.

Bad idea. Electronics (especially laptops) don't take kindly to that.

Curiosity is killing the cat, why more so with a laptop? Less interior air circulation area?

Double that with hearing loss, and squeaks from feedback, and communication would become impossible.

TuTu, that would destroy the very concept of the dump bottle.

I once read that in a humid climate, raise your PG. In a dry climate, raise your VG. After yesterday, I should be using 95% PG, wish I could send you some rain, Tutu.

I guess it would destroy the whole dump bottle thing.

Maybe I should be vaping straight VG. Eek! Not.

We’ll take the rain though! Not much left to water but we have found some teeny pines starting out, children of the dead ones. Put baskets around them, water them a bit, wait a hundred years and it’ll look like home again. :)

Steroids! The only thing I can focus clearly on for more than a minute is food!

You've got to get some of this Inawera Custard. I just want to stick the bottle up my nose & leave it there!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with the steroids again. Humble suggestion; try putting a bit on a q-tip and sniffing it at will, leave the bottle on the table. Don't want to hear you're having a flavoring bottle surgically removed from your nose.

Why do so many posters especially newbies start threads, but never come back to reply or anything? Is it a norm?
yeah that has always happened. Dunno if they get lost or what

Oh my, Nermal, sure hope ya luv purple; fer ya may be sportin' sum soon...

hehehe

The Therion is excellent also once you get the hang of getting the batteries out.
Jup I did see that they are really tight, but saw a vid about just mashing on the neg spring loaded ends a bunch to loosen em up then insert them from the side. Looks like a wonderful mod, but way too rich for me.

Frying pan, meet anvil.
got one of them too

Thank you all for the replies. I ate something and omg, thought I was gonna die. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner.

Retired1, I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't understand. I thought that I was supposed to provide attribution for something that's copyrighted, and break the link to an external vaping site. It seems that wasn't right. Will you please explain what I did wrong so that I don't do it again? Thanks!

Your original link was filtered in this post: Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part 5

You then turned around and posted the site in a manner that got around the filters.

There is no need to break links to external sources unless it's to something that's junk science.

Things like tablets are pretty much sealed so using them in a moist environment wouldn't be too bad. A laptop, on the other hand, will be drawing that moist air right across the motherboard and other components. Not good.

I think it's @Slots that uses saline. She was just talking about it on another thread. Steroid brain refuses to recall which thread. It's 9% saline for flushing wounds, in a can, in the pharmacy section. Now why can I remember all that, but not where she just posted it?

I need to get it together enough to try a flavor test on it & stop just sniffing it, but I can taste it a little everytime I sniff it.
I ordered some tiny plastic bottles from Wizard that should be here any time now. Oh! Just remember the little glass vials they send their samples in. Whoop!

Just trying to understand / learn a bit more about this particular link that was censored. It was to a recipe not junk science, unmentionable topics or what IMHO is a low quality website. However it was another forum site. Is that what caused it to be censored ... linking to another forum? Don't want to make the same mistake sometime is why I'm asking. Thanks

If it is to the website I think it is, if you explore it a bit further, you will discover unacceptable language, overt discussion of other substances, strong hostility against this website, and other problems.

We don't filter junk science links, which is why it's left to the individual posting the link to break it.

We don't get into the reasons why a site was added to the filters. Let's just say that there are very good reasons as to why they're added. And in the case of the recipe site, if you dig deep enough on ECF, you'll understand why it was added.

How exactly do you break a link? I've tried adding spaces, but it didn't work, so I just deleted the link

There are a few ways to do it. But it needs to be done BEFORE you nail the "Post Reply" button. Otherwise, you'll have to do some code editing which is a bit of a pain.

http:// www. google. com
www. google. com

Etc etc etc.

Wouldn't know about that ... I've only purused the recipe's section.

'nuff said ... thanks.

==================

Back on topic ... expecting 2 vape mail packages today ... a couple more KFV3 mini's and some flavorings to try Mattiem's orange blend.

oh ok. So adding spaces does work. Maybe I realized it after I posted then edited to add spaces. Not sure, it was a long time ago
