Many of us use the ejuicemeup calculator - on most any Windoze machine. (There are others, but if you're a Mac user someone else will have to point you to one for that OS.) You can have it do the math for combining. And yes, the flavoring must be included, especially if the total of flavoring goes over about 0.5%, which most do. (And most flavors come in PG, so that becomes part of the PG?VG ratio as well.)

Hello porch dwellers and hope all are having a great weekend so far. Raining and could not start the lawn today as I had planned although I should have rescheduled knowing it was supposed to rain. Procrastinating or lazy? Take your pick or both?

Apr 1st is to early to start the lawn anyway ;)

You would think but the Lawn Services have been working for weeks and it has already started to grow and came out of hibernation due to the warm weather we have had. Before I can aerate and thatch I am going to have to cut it. April 1st is when you can legally apply chemicals in my area.

I'm so glad I dont have a lawn. DH and I HATE cutting grass. As we live in a wooded area our entire acre is covered in live oak leaves

Part of our 2 1/4 acres is natural woods bordering a creek on the back 1/3. The front yard and behind the house is sunny enough to support a good lawn and is Centipede grassed. I run the mower across the leafy sections under trees and chop it all to a fine mulch that eventually becomes rich dirt. I blow it against tree trunks and build up a mulch layer around them. Leaves work well for that.

I've tried shady lawn grass mixtures that are supposed to be perennial and they grow fine the first year and die out in the shade over time. Go figure.

bbbut, aren't they DEAD oak leaves by now?

Or do you have really really short oak trees?
Haha! I see why it's confusing since you dont have live oaks in WA.

Wikipedia describes the tree thus: "Quercus virginiana, also known as the southern live oak, is an evergreen oaktree native to the southeastern United States. Though many other species are loosely called live oak, the southern live oak is particularly iconic of the Old South. " The tree gets its name because it retains its leaves through the winter and in the spring the leaves fall as the new ones come in.

This very old specimen on Johns Island in SC is called "Angel" and is believed to be 400 years old. the ground under it is covered with leaves just like our property.

Whey we cleared this land (1+acres) for the house we had all the "scrub" oaks cleared and left the patches of live oaks. Woods in the back, several areas (including the nice shaded dog yard) of live oaks. I need to rake the leaves for mulch in my grassy areas. Mostly centipede, but after last year's lack of rain, a large part of the grassy areas is back to sand. :(. Going to patch in some plugs of centipede from strong areas and the automatic sprinklers are back on several days a week. We did put in a nice sprinkler system, broadcast for the grassy areas, drip for the garden areas.

Nice to sit on the deck in the evening with a cold one while the broadcast flits away. Feels kinda like a sand trap on the 5th hole LOL!

Ops, realized what porch this is. I vape away while enjoying my own personal 5th hole sand trap hoping for grass.. :D

I don't know if I know Debbie, FULL STOP, yes I do, cyclone Debbie,as opposed to Deb? I just realised I have been thinking of you as flaming tutu, mentally, as opposed to Flamingo tutu. Just now, your avatar came into my mental registry. Oldtimers brain fritz.

Yep, was referring to the cyclone vs the purple frying pan. Sometimes hard to differentiate aside from the color. :) If you're colorblind, no difference.

@Vape? I have to confess that I too always think of Flamingo tutu as Flaming tutu. Then need to translate mentally! So sorry Flamingo:cry:.

No worries, I've even read it as flaming tutu. It's an old joke around here but if you guys don't knock it off you might get Leg's BP up.

Funny, I've always pictured a very awkward bird. (sorry)

Oh yeah, that mishap. :(

I wasn't drunk, I slipped, honest. :sneaky:

I think it's a mental addiction to the hand to mouth activity for lots of smokers. They don't fare well by quitting with nicotine gum or other quit methods, but vaping seems to keep the hands busy while providing an inhale and exhale activity. It's not the nic as much as it is the "hobby" aspect of vaping that satisfies. You still get to do all the things you did while smoking, but without the dangerous chemicals in the cigarette smoke.

Finding a juice that provides a suitable mouth feel and flavor is the crucial step once a smoker starts to vape.

100% agree.

Pelican, really?! You mangy little beagle. :grr:

well #$&-it.
I'm down to my last 1/2 square of Koh Gen Do cotton.
I have used 5 out of 80 sheets that I purchased, but I only keep 2 in my Vape box at a time and when I started using my second one last month, I went to look for the bag I keep it in... cannot find it. I've been looking for 3 weeks now and I KNOW it's here in this house somewhere.
So naturally, I've had to order more. Only $11.00 but it bugs me knowing I have some and just cannot lay my eyes on it.
and naturally, I will ind it about a week after the new arrives.
<sheesh> the first-world problems we have to deal with.

Been there, done that. Actually, doing it constantly. At least I know exactly where the nic is. Good luck on them figuring out if the cotton I just bought is for vaping or swabbing the dog's ears. :pervy: I'm so glad I heeded the warnings about stocking up. First blow came on April Fools Day, the next likely on 1 July. Effing idiots.

I have been vaping one flavor now since around Thanksgiving. It is a Mango Cream DIY that I adapted from @umanbean. I'm very happy with it so I don't have a reason to try anything else for the time being.

You obviously put it in a very safe place. I can send you a few pads if you want to get you through until you can get your order placed.

I don't do fly tying but enjoy fly fishing. Actually, I like fishing of any kind. I was in Sam's the other day and they had a fishing kayak for around $350, I am so tempted to pick it up just for the heck of it.

:)

We are bound by duty here to spend your money. Go for it. If you are at all inclined to buy one, just do it. No one, no one, can tell you not to vape in it. Seriously, it's a pretty damned cool mode of transportation.

When I was a kid, my parents took us down to Mexico over X-mas vacation for a number of years. They brought along their old kayak one year, one with a wooden frame and canvas skin that could be dismantled and packed into bags. My father took me out in the bay where we were staying. Puttering about was cool but then a dolphin surfaced alongside of us about 6' away.

In a motor boat, you're a tourist. In a kayak, you are part of the environment. Savor it, you won't be sorry. Ever.

We also saw all the vivid-colored fish, experienced the flow of tides, the habits of birds. That caused us to explore the tide pools which amaze me to this day.

It also exposed me to the desperately poor (that were there at the time) and their totally inhumane treatment of both the wildlife and their natural resources. Inedible fish left to die on land in the baking heat, live fish left to suffer and die on the rocks because someone cut their sides off to to use as bait for larger fish, construction workers tossing their debris over the edge of a cliff into the tide pools while constructing some millionaires home? Really? Even then I was sure that humane fishermen didn't leave a trace and that was okay.

Spend the 350, you won't be sorry. If you are, resell it, no harm done. You don't need to take it to Mexico to get your money's worth.

I pick lazy. Just kidding. :)

Nice catch!

We have oaks that don't lose their in winter. Many of the oaks around here do but these are somewhere around scrub and "real" oaks. They are the gift that keeps on giving not only to the wildlife but to me as a peeping Tom. I usually don't even vape while watching the activity that goes on in them.

We have Live Oak & Post Oak, & Pecan, Tulip Trees for shade around here. And pine. The first 3 get huge, Live Oaks spread out everywhere. There was one in Austin that was like the one you pictured. A man killed it & is in prison or maybe a mental hospital. I forget his reason for doing it. Nuts.

I was at the Vape meet in Atlanta last weekend and was amazed at all the GIANT Atomizers/tanks I saw. Not for sale but sported by other consumers there.
If this is where we are going, I am staying home. Just saying. Must have been 20ml and larger

That tree is a boy's dream for building a tree house or just hanging out in the shade in the Summer! Lots of places to sit in the shade.

Most vapers I know personally have been introduced to cloud tanks. I have some of the same mods they do, but most love the TFV4 turned wide open. I've thought about buying one, but my question is will it Tootle? Most say it will since it has dual air flow controls, but I'm not convinced until I try it. I do like the slide top refill port.
