I have been having a problem with both of my Wismec RX200 not wanting to hold TC. I can set TC at 420° and it will do good for about 3 or 4 puffs then it will drop into power mode to 20w. I did firmware updates so I could us SS316L not long ago. Today while I was out and about, I stopped in at my favorite B&M and they showed me the sigelei Fuchai Duo. Long story short, I brought one home with me. I grabbed a new coil, I think 7 wraps .51Ω and got very little vapor. I got thinking of all that @2legsshrt had talked about TCR and a small light went on. I went into one of the memory settings and adjusted TCR until I got a setting that gives me a nice warm vape with my SS316L. See, this ol' dog can learn new things. So now I am vaping my kayfun V5 with SS316L at 415° and I am getting a great MTL vape. I am using the 3 battery version of the Fuchai Duo. The weight is very close to what I had with the Wismec and it fits my hand very similar to the Wismec. I am very happy with the new mod and enjoying TC once again.
Excellent, the real TCR for SS316L is .00088 on other mods which are usually rounded to 3 decimal places so it would be 088 but with other then YiHi many are off a little and the higher the TCR the warmer the vape will be but it sounds like you've got it just right for that mod. The Wismec if I'm not mistaken has a JT board and also has a manual TCR setting which you might try.

I use green painters tape to label my HG2's. Cut the tape in half length wise, write on it, & stick it on the battery.

The problem with that is both my Lost Vapes mods are a very tight fit and I don't think there is room for the tape. Hard to get in and out without the tape.

Cut the tape in half length wise, & put it on the battery length wise. These are a super tight fit, which is why Hexes have a ribbon built into the batt sled that lays under the batts to help get them out.

No one knows about the difference in how long the battery lasts time wise between the 30q and the HG2?
I think the HG2 lasts longer, but that's honestly not based on scientific observation. Simply my "gut feel" from having used them both.

OK thanks. I really like my HG2's best of all the batteries I have. Would give that MJ1 a try but not worth $2 more especially if you are buying 10 and I will use Kennas method of marking them, I have 3 mods that use 2 or 3 batteries supposed to keep them paired up but I got a couple mixed up cause my felt pen got unreadable. Didn't seem to make a big diff but will attempt again.

I use the HG 2's and the 30 q's all the time now for 18650's. To be honest i can't tell the difference in run time, both great batteries. The reason i started getting the 30 q's was only because they are 6 cents cheaper from Liion wholesale than the HG 2's. Both are good choices.

@bigbells I got to thinking about your problem and it struck me. 2 battery DNA tweaked down chips read the batteries as one battery I believe. At least that is the way the 133's were. They don't read the batteries separately unless they are 3 cell. At least I'm pretty sure that's the way it is so if they were fully charged it should read around 8v. I would ask someone for sure in the chit chat but that is the way the 133's work but when you are using your board with enough power to power it at it's maximum which for yours would be 250w it will read each cell separately. Plus I don't think that 2-3.7v batteries will actually put out the full power when they are in series. But I would ask.

Also my HCigar came with nothing in the way of settings already loaded in. I had to put the battery profiles in for the batteries I was using. Mine was doing the same thing. I will see if I can find the site that has some good battery profiles for the HG2 and VTC5's not sure what other. It is a German site.

That was the one thing I didn't like about the HCigar was I had to load everything into it to get it working right, my batteries were showing empty and would cutout, when I would put them on the charger they were showing 3.8v so I put the profile in for my HG2's worked perfectly. I also set my low point cutoff to 3v a lot put it at 2.8. If you are familiar with escribe its not that difficult but you have to save the battery profiles you want to a file then on escribe manufacturers mode you load the battery profiles on the battery tab just like you do the wire profiles from Steam Engine, and after you get them loaded up on escribe don't forget to hit save to device or whatever just so it loads it onto your particular device. I found this way easier then doing the complete test on your battery don't even know how that works.

I finally got the mod to work properly in TC mode. I had to go in and read and lock the coil in TC mode. After that, it now gets a great vape at 325° with 100W pre-heat. The problem I was having was happening because I had not locked in the coil resistance. It sure does help when you read the manual and yes, I watched a couple youtube videos.

Shesh! You do get around ... don't you.
Ya you learn all kinds of things at the Evolve forum. This place was said to have the best profiles at the time but I would just about bet there are a site of 3 in English now because more and more are getting the DNA's that the seller doesn't take the time to set them up.
I really prefer the YiHi. Everything is right at your fingertips on the mod but with the DNA's since I only use 1 type of wire and 1 type of battery it was basically pretty easy once you got the hang of it. I only had to do it once with each Mod. But like I say unless you want to become familiar with Escribe or just plan on using Kanthal and Power mode except for the battery thing you don't really need to know much. It's when you get into TC that they can become a PIA, especially if you use 2 or 3 different wires.

Patrick, here is what I get when I connect the HCigar VT 167 to EScribe. I showed this on the Lost Vape Therion 166 (DNA250) thread where I was discussing the issues I'm having.

I don't know where, and can't find, a way to enter battery voltages or a battery file. That's possibly because those options don't open up due to the defects in the mod. As you can see in the screenshot below, the mod shows 2 batteries, with "pack" equaling the sum of the two voltages. Unfortunately, one of the voltages is reading as 0.01 volts... that's got to be a hardware problem rather than a software problem, in my opinion. If I mess around in the Evolv forum too much, I'll never get around to making the video to send to the Chinese seller for the HCigar VT 167. The US seller of the defective Therion DNA 167 already sent me a return label.

    DefectiveHCigarVT167.jpg

I can change the power setting using EScribe, but that's all. No other changes can be entered. The battery icon remains empty, I get the "check battery" message, and the mod won't fire. A little bit of hunting around on the Evolv Forum led me to a post where someone said that similar symptoms meant a loose or disconnected wire, or a blown board.
