I can post now...

Scared to post on page triple 6

Been following along with this thread but didn't have much to add. Just reading and vaping, vaping and reading.

I saw clnire's post seven minutes after she posted it. It instantly gutted me and that's all I've felt since I saw it. Completely gutted. I've struggled to find something profound to say and nothing comes. I'm in shock. And I just noticed this came up on page 666. I'm not superstitious but that's just weird.

Not going to make this about me but the reason I haven't been here this summer is because my allergy induced asthma has been been above extreme this year due to environmental reasons. The medication I need to breath, albuterol, allows me to breath but the side effects are so extreme, no matter what form (maker) it's in, makes me almost incompetent to care for myself. The best way I can explain it is having a severe case of the flu but only in the brain. All I need is rain but if that happens the DNA of possibly hundreds may be washed away before they can be collected in the Camp Fire. I'm okay with being sick several more weeks for the recovery process but be aware, the following thoughts are posted by a mind that's not completely normal.

Bells was here when I joined. I mean, he's always been here. Iffy, Bells, some other people = pillar porch supports. Then I though of his drone videos. They were awesome and nobody his age should be able to do those dance moves. I wish I'd I'd left comment saying how much I enjoyed his videos. :( And then I had quite a selfish memory. :(

Remember all those photos he'd post about the latest meal he'd cooked himself? Honestly, some of them took my appetite away but then I'd think, well, if I replaced the bell peppers with onions... Seriously, I gained more than a few pounds due to those pictures. :grr: Turns out that's a good thing due to the severe weight loss I'm going through due to the latest iteration of albuterol. Tomorrow when I force my self to eat something it will be with a smile on my face knowing Bells would have prepared it completely differently. I love you Bells. :nun:

Nice to see a post from you, not so good to read it's contents about your health. Prayers and positive thoughts you can get this under control. Best wishes.

What a gut blow and loss! I was about to inquire if anyone had heard from Dave recently.

His wonderful drone vids and entertaining 'steps' will be forever remembered! His cuisine maybe not so much. Regardless, I'll keep a cruet of his beloved vinegar in my heart.

I got home yesterday from the hospital. Mastectomy. My predicted life-span is not affected.

May you Sweet Ladies recover quickly! Love and prayers...

Ah - ok, yes - I have the 2-bay D2 and it's still doing its thing.

Just a tip - I've been caught out by its "stealth" mode once or twice - if you hold one of the buttons in for a couple of seconds, the display turns off, and it will sit and charge quite happily without it. AFAIK, it should turn back on whenever you insert a battery, or press and hold that same button.

Hope all goes well.
Thanks!

Lost Vape Therion (right)
DNA 75c = Step-up circuitry with two parallel batteries.

Lost Vape Paranormal (left)
DNA 250c = Step-down circuitry with two series batteries.
I don't know if my Hex Ohm's are serial or parallel. The power is regulated by a potentiometer & circuit board & are Mosfet protected also. They hit much differently than my other regulated mods. I like the hit on the Hexes better.
Is this serial or parallel? I can never remember.

From Dave's website:

Dave Bellwarex300.jpg

What Happened Next The Last Time?

What kind of deja vu have you?
It was then and now it's new
What on Earth was the next move?
Was it dull or did it groove?

Watch the smoky past unwind
Keep up half a step behind
That is not the way to think
Present tense gets out of sync

Don't care what happened yesterday
Just go today another way
Forget the way it worked before
Maybe there's a better door.

Free to worry not at all
Before I fell, or I stood tall
Stay the course or leave the path
Either way we still can laugh.

Something familiar about this place
Been right here in time and space
Whatever's next we made it through
Now and then I think of you.

Tutu, then we both have addled minds. I got home yesterday from the hospital. Mastectomy. My predicted life-span is not affected.

Dave! This is like a knife to the gut! At one point I had fantasies.......

OMG! I'm so sorry you are going through this, over the moon you are going to be fine. It seems like so many people have been seriously ill, or worse, this year. Not just "old" people either. Then there's the fire north of us, 79 dead so far. :nun: I don't get excited about New Year but this year I will be outside to greet 2019. How hope you are back up to snuff quickly. Hugs, many hugs!

Nice to see a post from you, not so good to read it's contents about your health. Prayers and positive thoughts you can get this under control. Best wishes.

Thank you. Things should start to improve Wednesday when the rains are expected to begin and clean all the allergies out of the air. Debilitating yes, but nothing compared to what 3mg Meniere are going through. Wished I'd felt well enough to join in on some of the conversations in here but then again, so many of them were over my head with me being so old school in vaping. FDA needs to be watched closely these days though. :-x

I am using provaris with cartotanks. The guys at the vape shop think it is pretty cool. My juice is fifty dollars for thirty ml. They are giving me the pink ribbon discount.

Guessing this is a complete misfire, wrong thread, or please let me know who this is so I can release years of pent up frustration on them. It would really make my year.

Provaris and cartos rock though.

That's how I feel, too. I just don't have words. Lots of feelings, just no words. I wish we knew more. But maybe not. I rewatched some of his videos as a tribute.

Agree. I'm still gutted by the news but the lack of information keeps gnawing at me. I wish we knew more, that he didn't suffer.

I'm trying, it's getting a bit tedious. I think relief is around the corner in the form of "better" weather.

About the number 666, I don't share the superstition.

In the last book of the Bible, the number 666 is attributed to the Beast of the Apocalipse.

May be not everybody knows it, but many of the names attributed to our vape gear are borrowed from ancient mitologies or history.

The name 'Therion" of our mods is the ancient Greek word for the Beast mentioned above.
So...

The batteries in your mod are connected in series.
The potentiometer adjusts the voltage up to the voltage of the two batteries under load, less a small amount lost in the regulator.

There is only an handful of two-batteries mods where the batteries are connected in parallel.

This is because the losses in the mod, with double the voltage, are four times smaller.

Thanks! I don't know why I can't remember that. I just love the way they vape & the battery life.
