I don't like Gearbest due to past experience, but a good deal. If I had mine built and tested I would still be tempted..

Agree ... I want to buy 3 more and could save about 10 bucks compared to FT ... but I'm pretty sure it was GB that scammed me before so I'm quite leary. I'll give time for another other folks to comment before deciding.

Anyone bought from Gearbest? Are they reliable? I think I bought from them once and had trouble ... they advertised an Tobeco brand atty and I bought a couple ... they shipped me a no-name atty. I knew it wasn't a tobacco from the packaging and quality of it because I already had a few of the Tobacco one's. They denied the 'switch' but since I paid w/ PayPal I was able to open a dispute and get my money back. They even changed their advert after I contacted their CS about the issue.

Anyway .. they have the Coppervape Skyline 'on sale' but I'm hesitant to order because I can't accurately remember if they were the company I had trouble with.

Comments?
There have been a lot of bad comments about them in different threads so I've never chanced it. Worse than FT ever was.

It's real nice. It hinges on the back of the mod, slides forward just a little to unlock. Spring loaded and flips out of the way. Absolutely no interference with batteries, they slide in like a dream. Push it against the mod and slide it back to close. It fits tight. Real tight. I've had this mod for about 6 months and the door is still as tight as the day I bought it. Been in daily use since it arrived and the door has never popped open by itself.

This is the highest quality mod I have ever owned.
That sounds good. I like the quality of my other LV mods also.++++++++++++++

I've looked at some of their stuff but never really ordered from them. I'd never heard anyone who had. What's the deal is this Coppervape Skyline the new greatest atty around? I guess I'm gonna have to start payin atttention.

No, hardly new :)

But as the vape scene becomes more and more either multi-coil room fogging tanks or blast of the past pods (ok, improved cig-a-like and carto ;) ), good mtl tanks are getting harder to find.

For me, the Skyline is a nice "equivalent" to the KFL2, adding more air flow control, juice flow control, and top fill. So would likely be good for at least restricted DL, in addition to mtl use.

Yep ... "equivalent" to the KFL2". That's just what I was looking for to replace Janet's stock of KFL2's. Something with a very similar vape experience but 'loose the screw driver' ;) at refill time.

Does anyone remember the Walnut Wood Trixie mod?

Has anyone else read that our mod chips will fail due to age?

Well, I think I have the 1st casualty :(. Going through, checking out stuff, deciding what to do with the massive amount of stuff I have that will never get used again. I put a battery in, the screen flashed a couple of times, then NOTHING. Tried 3 different 18650's, button top and flat, right side up and upside down, brown, blue and red :) . I only used it long enough to test (back in the day), then tucked it away safely, with all my other backups.

I found a 2013 thread about it, My Walnut wood Trixie mod just arrived!!!

A moment of silence please.

If anyone could use or knows anyone that could use mods or toppers, please PM me.

I was apparently out of mind, when I was shopping (2012/13ish and beyond), and some of it is good stuff.

iTaste SVD, Zmax, IPV D2, eVic VTC, Cloupor mini, sale Provaries, Nautilus, generic Kayfuns with the fill port on the side. I have multiples of a few of these things .

PS....I have not tested the electronics on these things.

That sounds mysteriously like some of the stuff in my vape closet! I think I might pass out if any of my provaris “pass away”. Can you open it up and see if there’s a loose connection somewhere?

I opened it up and saw nothing amiss. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I seen it spoken of around ECF that the display screens could start dying after about 10 years or so. But I don't recall a lifespan being talked about for the main control boards.
