Just curious... there's a "front porch" and a "back porch" thread?
BTW the avatar is just for Halloween (temporary)

Front porch is for vaping related stuff. Back porch is more social kinds of things.

Welcome to the porch or porches (if'n you decide to drop by the back porch also).

So I picked up a couple Silver Play multi airflow atty's 'on sale on a whim'. I'm really liking it so far. It's a bit fiddly to wick with it's 'odd' collars around the wick and it only holds 2 ml of juice but the vape is dang good. It has 3 different airflow inserts. Using the 'honeycomb' looking one I can adjust the air flow from very tight MTL to a decent DR draw.

I think it will become a 'regular' for around the house use due to it's 2ml capacity.

Now, the search is on for some small mods that accept a 24mm atty. I'm looking for something from the size of a iStick Pico and no bigger than a Provape Radius that takes 1x 18650 battery.

Please don't suggest the popular Aegis Solo or mini. We've got a bunch of the Solo's and really like them, but I'm search for something smaller overall than the Solo.

I was wondering about the Silverplay, but if it's finicky, then its a 'no' for me......I have enough finickiness in my life!
As far as size, I love my Picos because of their size, and I, too, like the smaller configurations. You may want to investigate the thread..........Little itty bitty mods under $100.

You may need to scroll back a few pages to see more choices.

Seems I’m on a learning curve with this new Silverplay. 1st fill up and vape down went fine. 2nd fill up, leaked almost poured out air hole. 3rd fill up I measured 2ml in a syringe and after taking off the top cap, sitting the atty upside down to completely drain, put the measured 2ml into it.

Leak city again. What a mess. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Coil too low? (Don't have one, just guessing...)

I hope I figured it out. 4th refill no flooding or leaking. If I can make it '5' ... I'll post some pic's of what the issue was.

I do like the vape from it. Sure wish it held more than 2ml though.

@MikeE3, here is a superb mod that handles the 24mm Silverplay very well. I wound up buying six after trying it out. Good price with free shipping here:

asMODus Colossal 80W TC Box Mod | Touch Screen device powered by a single 18650

On this page, the Green is advertised at $29.99. It's really pretty in person and looks great with a silver or rainbow Silverplay on top.

VaporRange.com | Your Online Vape Store. Free US shippping. Our vapor shop offers free shipping to the US with unbelievable pricing on the best box mod to the cheapest mods on sale.

Mike, I sent you a PM in case you wanted to talk more about it, but two basic things come to mind:
1) I wonder if you're being a bit too fine with the wicking. With that double chamber where you just lay the wick into the slots, there is no need to thin it. Also, I wait to trim the wick after I put the top cap back on and just whack whatever is sticking outside the chambers.
2) I always close off the air control when filling. When it's full, I put the cap on and, before opening the air flow, I turn it upside down over the trash can and give it a couple of the Phil Busardo "Get Thee Behind Me Satan" shakes to get rid of any excess. I do this with just about all tanks to eliminate gurgling. Open the air flow and go.

Here is a good video on building and wicking the Silverplay. You can start at about the 5 minute mark and still get the gist of it:

I just got one myself... been watching lots of videos (going to try it very soon)
First thing to know is about the two "sleeves" above the build deck (also for juice flow control) First time you take it apart (I know, you already have, but maybe this will help others) be careful. Pull it off with the top piece screwed on (twist clockwise or top just unscrews) Guy on a video couldn't get it off and used pliers (with no cap on it) and made it out of round... ruined) After you get it off just put a bit of juice inside so it lubes o-ring. Saw two different ways to wick this (will try both) but be careful that the juice (wick) holes line up with coil and after adjusting juice flow it may move (too tight... not enough flow, too loose... flooding) Little airlfow adapter is up to preference, but for those that like lots of flow, can use it without any insert. I'm going to try a 3mm ID coil and lots of cotton. Most people used "regular" method trimming just outside juice holes, but one guy did the inside "dam" method (I will try this if I can't avoid flooding) Smaller ID coils won't have enough cotton IMO or require closing juice flow way down. The one thing everyone agreed is it has great flavor! I've done the homework but that don't mean nothing... wish me luck. My mod is only 22mm wide... don't care... I can live with a little overhang. Hoping to get an OBS cube. Anyone else with this RTA (the 2018 not the older ones) feel free to send me a PM... would love to talk.

One more thing about the Silverplay... try all three airflow inserts before putting coil in (almost impossible after build) or leave out insert for max airflow. Those darn deck screws are rounded underside and coil leads might slip/push out. Might try wrapping leads around screw (or try to find similar screws with flat underside... make sure they don't touch sides)
BTW my avatar is just for Halloween (temporary) I'm trying a simple round wire coil, then a clapton (both 3mm ID)
