I'm making a USB to 510 adapter with a momentary switch so i can use USB power packs. :D

Those use to be pretty popular back in the day. Could run it off a usb power pack, a car usb port, your computer, or anything else that had a usb port. You could even plug it into an old Innoken.

A simple passthrough was also generally so cheaply made that the wires would pull loose too quickly to get your money's worth of vaping out of it.

To me, a mech is stepping backwards. Regulated gives the same flavor from the time you put in a new batt till the time it's just about dead and has to be changed. Not seeing the (mech) advantage except that they'll likely last for eons since there's not much to go bad. Just a batt with an on/off switch. Regs are a lot more sophisticated so a lot can go wrong.

A mech is like a fine cigar or a good scotch on the rocks. The 1st taste is different then the last taste but good to the end.

I have a mixture of mods. Several internal battery ones I know will die someday. I rotate them on a daily basis with hopes they will last longer. I have several external battery regulated mods (all take 18650 flat top batteries, some telescoping, like my Zmaxes and my Spire, that can take 650, 500 or 350) and regulated boxes, and a few mechanicals for the vapocolypse box, along with several kicks. Lots of toppers I can rebuild. So I hope that for hardware I am good for whatever may hapen.

The thing is if the company that made it goes out of business because of being regulated out that won't do you any good.

Please I know you don't like Mechs but PLEASE get yourself at least one good one. Buy the little chips you can stick in a mech to make it regulated if you must. Just please have one good mech.
It is NOT a mech. I will not have a mech. Period. I'm repeating myself.

That is fine just realize one thing. If the FDA shuts us down that warantee and US made will mean nothing as there will be no company to send it to for fixing. THey will all be shut down.

I get that you do not want a mech. However a mech for the vapocalypse box + a couple of kicks (which make a mech a regulated device) are insurance for when your other devices die. Mechs are nearly indestructible.

Do as you like I am just trying to help.

Are variable voltage ones of a better quality still available? Along with mechs and kicks, would be a great addition to my living like doomsday has already arrived.
I can't speak for many but my Provaris are extremely well made devices with a track record of durability.
