Suggestion... stash away all your old/broken eGos/subsequent PVs/hardware/parts.

If da worst becomes reality, there will be a resurgence of homemade designs that will blossom. Think back to several years ago when our ECF members were experimenting for a better vape. Da only reason very few continue building today is da convenience and relatively low costs fer current available devices.

Easy, just push that button that makes that little tray pop open, put your money in the tray & push the tray back in. Just like at a coin laundry!
It won.t give change, tho....
Gotcha! tanks!!! :D

I've though about getting some YiHi 350J boards. I know Mike could put them in for me for a modest price. Also have 2 Provari 2.5's 1 new 1 nearly new and one that is an original still working fine. That is another option. Got plenty of Kanger STM's and they work as well on Kanthal as they do on Ti. Not sure if it would be better to pick up a couple of boards or a couple of Provari's about the same price.

The thing is if the company that made it goes out of business because of being regulated out that won't do you any good.

Please I know you don't like Mechs but PLEASE get yourself at least one good one. Buy the little chips you can stick in a mech to make it regulated if you must. Just please have one good mech.
They're called "kicks" and can be had for around $15 these days. Converts a mech mod to either a VV or VW mod. Low wattage though. I think it's like 15 Watts max. Gotta make sure it's the right mod though. Kicks won't fit all mechanical mods. Now days the description of the mod will say if it'll take a kick sometimes.

I'm thinking about getting some of those too. You know I've built my own a couple of times.

The phone# is good. It says my card # is not. I'll call the bank Monday morning. I have to go to fill out paperwork at my RA Dr on Monday & my CU is right down the street so I can go there & get temporary checks printed. Maybe they can make a new debt card for me, too. I just hope it doesn't cost me anything & I can handle it right away.
If it says the card number is no good, let's hope that means they already caught it and cancelled the card. The replacement card is free. It's their job!
Good afternoon in here :)

As usual per a holiday gathering at my Sister's...

I woke up with a dang fever this morning.

Chugging the ginger and cayenne tea with honey
Does your Sister's make you ill? Or, is it her cooking? :img:
But... how do ya pay cash? :?:

Y'all are good!
I wonder if the govt shut this down if they are going to let the vendors get rid of their stock on hand. Most of the vendors don't seem that worried.

What worries me the most is the future of ECF and our ability to comunicate freely with each other. Also our ability to view vaping videos. It may be time to start stashing copies of things offline. It does no good to have the parts for a mod if I don't know how to put it together.

Paranoid much?

Yep and I'm pretty sure these just fit right in might have to solder 2 wires. I think I would get a Provari before I would get a mech. Never had one go bad and one that I have was on the original I had to wait 5 weeks for it. I think they will last almost forever. When did they come out thats when I got the one and it's still perfect but I take care of my stuff.

I'll go a step farther and say "please learn how to make your own PV". That way if everything you have goes to pot, you can gather up the pieces and make a new one yourself.
Kind of like building your own light saber my young Jedi apprentice.

That's pretty much my setup as well, Matt, although my count is higher. All 18650, even the 3 telescoping mechs in the box.

And all of those have Kicks so I can still vape regulated - until the kick electronics die.

But, in general, once electronics make it through their initial "burn in" period they're pretty reliable and each should, with abuse, last for years.

And a couple of the new models (none in my arsenal, though) do say you can flip a switch and use them in mech mode. Don't know if they totally bypass all the electronics or not. If they don't, I can't see any point to it. If they do, might be good for fall-back.
Your right. On every rig I've had crap out it was the fire button that died. Of course with the VAMO and a lot of the boards now days the fire switch is mounted to the PCB and a pain in the pooter to replace if it can be done at all.

I'm making a USB to 510 adapter with a momentary switch so i can use USB power packs. :D
Won't work. USB doesn't provide enough power. You have to have a battery and a charging circuit designed for it. The battery provides the power and the charging circuit continually tops off the battery. It's a duty cycle thing. You don't value often enough to pull the battery so far down that the charger can't keep up.

I'm easily confused. That's why I haven't bought any Kicks yet. There are, of course, different versions. But, there are also clones. And, I've heard some (probably just clones) can short because of something exposed toward the edge. I believe it was recommended to coat it with something to protect it. Plastic? Fingernail polish? Not sure.

I think about 4 years or so ago.
I have 12 Kanger STM's plus 8 extra rba decks 4 extra air flows and at least a dozed extra glass pieces plus all the extra parts 12 of them come with minus 1 screw.
I keep seeing sub-tanks advertised. After knowing how much you and Myrany like them, I thought I'ld try one. But, there are lots of kinds, it seems. So, it's the Kanger STM that's so good and easy to build on, right?

I have two :DView attachment 509900

Still work fine.
Reference my comments about you can't vape off of a USB directly. These wouldn't work except they're powered by the cigarette lighter that connects almost directly off the car battery that has PLENTY OF power.

Recommendation/caution:

I have several telescopic mech PVs to insure I have 'room' fer my batt and a Kick in da tube. There are very few PVs set up fer Kicks.

If da 1st Amendment is trashed, then it'll be time to dig out my non-vaping cache! I don't see that happening any time soon. Take a deep breath and relax!
