With all this battery discussion I now have a question. I normally only need to charge one battery at a time. I always put the battery in the charger, then plug it in. I never leave my charger set up because I need that plug for other things. Am I doing it wrong?
Nope, doing it fine. ;)

Any decent charger will re-evaluate da batt charge upon charger power up; ergo, no max charge output initially.

But keep in mind dat:
I toss a low batt from my in-use PV into da charger.
I also pull a batt from da charger and insert into a PV fer immediate use.
I leave a charging batt in da charger while dreaming of younger days.
I don't steep my jooses.
I don't use needles on syringes.
I can pass up a great $ale if I don't need da item.
I luv mayo on my hot dogs...

It would depend on how cheap the charger is. A good one will have a re/start up routine in case of power outage. A cheap one... who knows.
Mine's a Nitecore D2. It has the blinking lite's to show the charge progress. Sometimes just the first lite starts blinking. If the batt has more of a charge left on it, it will start at the 2nd light when I plug it in. I think it evaluates the batt first because there's a pause when I first plug it in before the lights start blinking.

And I like mayo & katsup & cheese & onions & sweet relish on my hotdogs. But have been known to go for mayo, & motzarello & provalone, too...tis cheesey yum!

I finally got a real charger when I got my 1$ 18500 batteries. An elcheapo Trustfire which is supposed to blow up and burn my house down. I had been using a homebrew charger on my recycled 18650's. Made with an ego charger guts wired to a homemade battery sled. Was slow but worked fine.

All my chargers, wall warts, etc are plugged into a power strip which I turn off when not around. It is hooked into a commercial EFI surge suppressor.
Which will actually trip a breaker if I get a really strong surge.

I like to live on the edge.

Strange thing about batteries and mods. I get only about 1/3 more juice consumption on an 1100 mah 18500 in my Zmax as I do on my little 650 mah evod clicker VV batteries.
I get a bit over 1 T3 tankful of juice vaped on a 650 mah ego vs 1.5 Tankfuls on the 1100mah in the Zmax with virtually identical vapes from both.
Inefficiency in the Zmax converter circuitry I assume.

No you didn't ... you're just pulling my leg. Please tell me you didn't do that.
Ohh I did it. I am an electronics tech and monitored the voltage with a Fluke DMM and the temp on the first few charges with an infrared thermometer. They barely got above room temp and the little ego charging circuit got no hotter than when charging an ego. I compared them. I have about 10 of the little elcheapo ego chargers.
voltage is voltage and current is current. I had a 1 amp fuse in the input of the battery and the input of the ego charger.
They started out charging at about 450 ma and tapered down as they got close to 4.1 where they tripped off.
I was charging 3.7 nom volts lion batteries in both cases so as long as no overcurrent out of the ego charger to cook it then all is fine.
It is basically the same charging circuit as in built into many mods.

Hi, Matt! I will definitely check it out because one of my fave movies is "The End" with Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise! I didn't see it until a few years ago. I LOVE comedy! My entire LIFE is a comedy!!! ... of errors!!!
One of the funniest movies I have ever watched is an independent film, "The Gods Must be Crazy".

I was going to say... 1000 Island, or maybe Miracle whip for me.
Mayo is for Fries.
Ranch dressing for the fries.

Oh yeah! We loved The Gods Must Be Crazy. Wow, that was a lifetime ago! We were talking about that during our Dutch processed cocoa hot chocolate before bedtime drink to ensure sweet dreams! Who would think that an empty Coke bottle ....
Indeed! Tomorrow night we are finally going to see The Experimenter at an art house. We've been waiting for this movie for months! I hope it isn't traumatizing or too disturbing. I really don't need that since we already have read extensively about how people begin to act out the roles they are assigned. Frightful. Well, I guess it's perfect for Halloween! 'Night, all!

I have a 2bay Efest LUC charger I bought from a coop in Oct 2013 (actually bought 2 of them, one is still new in the box). Its always plugged in and has a battery or 2 in it all the time. I have it plugged into a surge bar along with a USB plugs so I can charge Isticks and such. I did once have 2 batteries in the LUC along with using the USB to charge so 3 items charging and the charger got hot...never again. Over the last few months I've finally have to retire some of my old AW (bought from provape with the first provari)and Efest 10 amp batts that are over 2 years old so IMO the charger is working well. The batts are slightly warm but nothing I should worry about and I have a rotation so I never use a batt just off the charger, they have to rest a spell.
I have a crapload of efest 10 amp batteries so I have to keep both the provari's running not to waste the batts but keep my other higher amp batts for my IPV2 and mechs
IMO it all comes back to how you acquire your gear, not saying any vendors are shady but in the 2 1/2+ years of my coop buying( and bought nothing but juice off any vendors) I've have nothing but great products that have stood the test of time from my protanks to batteries to chargers to Istick mini's and 50's and many other items I'm still using today. Both my wife and I have had a exceptional vape experience so far.
I do believe that spending a bit more at the beginning or have a trusted source to ensure genuine gear then it will save you a pile of frustration and in the end spending twice for what your should have spent only once for.
