Pffft, fine. I'm still not retraining myself though.Any decent charger will re-evaluate da batt charge upon charger power up; ergo, no max charge output initially.

Nope, doing it fine. With all this battery discussion I now have a question. I normally only need to charge one battery at a time. I always put the battery in the charger, then plug it in. I never leave my charger set up because I need that plug for other things. Am I doing it wrong?
Mayo on Hot Dogs!?!Any decent charger will re-evaluate da batt charge upon charger power up; ergo, no max charge output initially.
But keep in mind dat:
I toss a low batt from my in-use PV into da charger.
I also pull a batt from da charger and insert into a PV fer immediate use.
I leave a charging batt in da charger while dreaming of younger days.
I don't steep my jooses.
I don't use needles on syringes.
I can pass up a great $ale if I don't need da item.
I luv mayo on my hot dogs...

Mine's a Nitecore D2. It has the blinking lite's to show the charge progress. Sometimes just the first lite starts blinking. If the batt has more of a charge left on it, it will start at the 2nd light when I plug it in. I think it evaluates the batt first because there's a pause when I first plug it in before the lights start blinking. It would depend on how cheap the charger is. A good one will have a re/start up routine in case of power outage. A cheap one... who knows.
I had been using a homebrew charger on my recycled 18650's. Made with an ego charger guts wired to a homemade battery sled. Was slow but worked fine.

Ohh I did it. I am an electronics tech and monitored the voltage with a Fluke DMM and the temp on the first few charges with an infrared thermometer. They barely got above room temp and the little ego charging circuit got no hotter than when charging an ego. I compared them. I have about 10 of the little elcheapo ego chargers. No you didn't ... you're just pulling my leg. Please tell me you didn't do that.![]()
Mayo on Hot Dogs!?!Jeez!

I have NO IDEA what you said, here ... But it sounds so plausible!Ohh I did it. voltage is voltage and current is current. I had a 1 amp fuse in the input of the battery and the input of the ego charger.
They started out charging at about 450 ma and tapered down as they got close to 4.1 where they tripped off.
I was charging 3.7 nom volts lion batteries in both cases so as long as no overcurrent out of the ego charger to cook it then all is fine.
It is basically the same charging circuit as in built into many mods.
One of the funniest movies I have ever watched is an independent film, "The Gods Must be Crazy".Hi, Matt! I will definitely check it out because one of my fave movies is "The End" with Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise! I didn't see it until a few years ago. I LOVE comedy! My entire LIFE is a comedy!!!... of errors!!!

Oh yeah! We loved The Gods Must Be Crazy. Wow, that was a lifetime ago! We were talking about that during our Dutch processed cocoa hot chocolate before bedtime drink to ensure sweet dreams!
