Here, that would come out to a little over 2.5 cartons of cigarettes. We forget that pretty quickly; spoiled by FT. If it works for you, standing ovation! I wanted to get a kayfun way back when but the only combo of parts would have cost about the same (wanted top fill, etc.). Sloth helped me piece it together. It was a beauty and smaller than the Space Station to boot. Unfortunately I've lost the links but if things come down the way it looks like they will, either through the FDA or the state, I'm willing to redo the research and get it because it's well built and will last for eons. Good on you for buying something you wanted.

I was gonna guess five years, from Kurt's last report that I read. Wonderful news! I'll have to watch it tomorrow also but thank you so much for the video. :)
Two cartons and a couple of packs, here. About 3 weeks' worth of stinkies . It was an extravagant purchase, but so far, no buyer's remorse. That's so cool that Sloth helped you piece a KFL together! I am useless when it comes to stuff like that; how great that you did! My logic was similar though: I figure it will last a long time -- so worth it in the end.

Thanks, all, for the insight on nic storage. Now to clean out a spot in the garage freezer!

Mornin' everyone!

Probably tossed them in a bag and grabbed the STM, lol. Im going to try wicking with the braided material that came with the KF, that might keep the wick out of them juice grooves. Then its onward to conquer the Cascade Mountains.

Here is a close up of my KF wicking. Using KGD, 2.5 coiler, wick is about the width of the coil since cotton swells some as it wicks liquid. It's not a lot of wick, not tight in the coil, it slides through the coil easily until it's full of juices & gets a little tighter. This worked the first time & every time since. If it falls over I just bump it gently against the heel of my hand, on the side opposite the fall, to be sure that juice channel is clear. But not hard enough to shift the wick on the other side.

Since most fluids expand with heat, Im wondering if it might work, to just fill the bottle so as to have the least amount of head space, put a good good sealing cap on and toss it in the freezer. As the liquid cools, it should make its own vacuum!?

As liquid freezes iit expands. Stick a water bottle upright in the freezer & watch what happens. No vacuum, the air shrinks as it cools, but space is replaced by the freezing liquid, so less air exposure. Don't recommend filling all the way.

Thanks buddy! Im a day late and a dollar short as usual! The 50/50 is a great plan.
My first nic order was 100% VG, what a mistake that was, lol.

Nic stores better, long term, in pg. If you get your nic in pg, & flavors in pg, you'll only need to add a small amount of pg & enough vg to bring mix to 50/50. Or, if you want a higher vg mix, just finish mix with vg.. A juice calculator will do the figuring for you.

I do that all the time. Start a post, get distracted, come back hours later and be surprised I hadn't posted it. Then, finally post it. Yup, very familiar!

That's how my grandmother used to make them for me (except with Splenda Blend brown sugar instead of regular). Yum!

I started eating sweet potatoes when I found out I was diabetic and was told no more regular potatoes (because they turn to sugar before they even get to your stomach). I was reluctant, but desperate. I LOVE potatoes.

I was so pleasantly surprised. Sweet potatoes are pleasantly, mildly sweet. And, the big bonus, they aren't as dry as regular potatoes. Regular potatoes are so dry that they HAVE to have butter or you'll choke on them.

Now, you've got me curious to find my A1C test results. I'll have to find the clinic's website. I know it was a bit high. But, apparently they weren't too concerned.

What I'm more concerned about is checking my own levels on a daily basis. I was having so much trouble getting enough blood that I would have to poke 2 or 3 times to get enough. So, I just stopped checking. But, I stick to a diet a lot better when I see my sugar levels for myself on a daily basis.

I would think that getting enough blood would be easy since I'm on blood thinners. Apparently not. Maybe dehydrated?

Anyway, since a few of you are diabetic, maybe someone can give me some advice for checking my blood sugar without having to stick myself multiple times?
I hate to say it but the best way to get nice drop is to poke a nice hole. Basically I adjust the needle depth until I get a nice start drop and then give it a little squeeze to get a little bigger drop. Most of the new strips really don't require that much blood anymore. If your using an older meter and strips might get your doc to write you a new one. Of course what model depends on your insurance company. A lot of the manufacturers will give you the meter just to lock you into their ecosystem of strips and needles. Needles cheap, strips not so much.

They do now. Jenuvia, it makes the sugar pass through and out your urine. I am just starting it. I get an A1c quarterly, so we will see. I am only about 2 years since diagnosed. I was just adjusting diet and exercise and still had trouble getting it down.

Matt101 said that he used a needle (Ventosa) and it works wonders for him.
Victoza (just to clarify the name)

Speaking of the Sloth, does anybody know where he is?

Yep when I go to the VA they have one tech there the best looking one and she always tries to hit the vein that they always have problems with and digs around for a while and gets a little then has to switch. Some are great but when I see her I cringe hoping I don't get her.
Just tell her no, Legs. You don't have to let them even try when you already know it's not going to work. Point her to one that you know will work. Digging just further damages the vein.

I was speaking about the other kind of BS.

Looks like the last time Sloth was on ECF was October 1. Hope I did nothing to offend him. :( He was really dialed in to trying to be a good teacher. From what he said, and how he was here, I think he's probably one of those rare teachers that really make a difference in student's lives, bit it's also time-consuming to be that kind of Super Prof. I miss Sloth.

Speaking of Sloth, just remembered something that happened to him. He took some bottles of 100mg nic out of the freezer, the bottles clinked together and one broke. I put bubble wrap around the bottles in the freezer so I don’t pull a Sloth. Also put the bottle(s) in ziplocks just in case. At least one other person on the porch puts the bottles in socks. That’s an even better idea. Thought I’d toss this out there.
We need to put in the capitol hill water supply.
Second!

Dry as a bone isn't good but being underwater is worse. Keep those water wings handy. :)

I remember that, and keep mine in bubble wrap and zippies also. Forgot about the socks, I do have some I don't wear. I miss our sloth too. Wish he'd come back.

Not dry as a bone, but not raining anymore. (pay no attn to the forecast starting Friday)

I wrapped my bottles in the foam pads some of my juice comes wrapped in, taped it with packing tape & stuck them back in the box the bottles came in.

During the holidays they usually have some dirt-cheap fuzzy socks for sale. Was thinking of getting some of those. My socks, pretty bad. Husband's, biohazard.
But if you did that there would be 100's of mutes there.
Let's put it in the presidential candidates' water too. :D

Excellent idea. Box wouldn't fit in our freezer. I have to line them up around the edges, hence why I don't know many are in there. There is a mini freezer in my future, just don't know how far off that future is. It's kinda last on the list right now.
All the nic in my freezer is in glass brown/blue bottles wrapped with the bubble wrap and ziplock bag it came in/with.
The first time I bought bottles, I accidentally ordered green. :( Working through those first. All the rest are cobalt blue or amber. Just ordered 4 250ml bottles from MFS. Hope they fit in the freezer upright.
