apparently I just passed my 7th a l'il bit back

Wow! You may be part of the young crowd on the porch but ... yikes! ... you're an old timer when it comes to vaping.

That's awesome 7 years ... you've certainly seen a lot of changes in the vaping arena.

Hahaha... yeah, I was a bit of an early adopter. Got completely taken advantage of because I knew absolutely nothing. The wife and I were at the mall one day and there was a kiosk set up for a company called "Smoking Everywhere" and the lady was vaping a cig-a-like right in the middle of the mall. Naturally my curiosity was piqued so we stopped. The wife was all for it because she'd been wanting me to quit smoking for years. I bought a kit (2 batteries, 1 atomizer, and a boatload of cartridges) for $250... that was the absolute crappiest model on the market, it turned out. I got online a coupla weeks later and found Totally Wicked and ordered a bunch of stuff from them... the rest, as they say, is history.

But yeah, I've definitely seen all the changes... from blue foam filter fillers and tea bags to now using rayon and buying coil heads with ceramic wicks... with temperature controlled mods and all kinds of stuff. It's definitely been a pretty awesome ride!

Congratulations and Happy Vapeversary to you as well!!! Funny how we just don't even think about it after a while, huh?
I will never forget it. It was an amazing day.

Wow.......that's amazing!! And you might win the prize for the longest vaping by a few months, but I'm not certain. It's between you and Gracie I think. Kay will be hitting 7 years later this year. Jup a lot remember the blue foam. We'd just moved on but it was still being talked about when I started nearly 4 yrs ago

Hahaha! I even built a 'Puck' mod before there even was such a thing... used a 4cell AA battery box from Radio Shack and epoxied a 510 connector from a cig-a-like into it so that I could run cartos on it... darn thing would run for a week on a set of batteries!

That's pretty cool though, I don't find many people that have been vaping quite as long as I have. I did find a vape shop employee that's been vaping for almost 6 years the other day though... we had a lot of fun talking while all the kids sat around trying to do vape tricks...

I couldn't stand the filler cartos, so was very glad to find the ce4's then the vivi nova tanks. I sent what I had and the emdcc's to dancin in hopes that her brother would like them. I think they finally found something he likes though. @DancingHeretik is he still vaping??? How's he doing?

Oh, they worked great on my l'il Tesla 15W mod back in the day. Absolutely perfect with a carto-tank. I had picked up a Phiniac tank at some point and a carto-punch... but back then there wasn't much out that was better than that... now there are just so many options that it boggles the mind!

Nice! Even your 1st one was better than my 1st one... by the end I had gone to slotting them with a dremel and a cut-off wheel because someone told me that worked better... I honestly couldn't tell much difference.

It turns out he hates the filler material in cartos. He did try one. Then finally confessed about the filler material. Now, I finally understand why he doesn't like carto-tanks!

Right now, he's split between his same old 306 and the Nautilus. He doesn't seem too impressed with the Nautilus. He says it's 'OK'. So, he's still smoking a regular tobacco pipe sometimes.

He may need to sub-ohm to get what he wants.

I'd really suggest the Target tank with the new cCells. I've been using one for the last couple of months and have been very impressed with them. But go with the 0.9Ω kanthal coils, the nickel coils in temp control just don't seem quite as good to me. Actually, on second thought... pick up one of the Tobeco Super Mini tanks (about $20), and use the cCells in that. It's a better tank with higher capacity and is top fill. I've had great results with those coils at 30-35W.

ETA: Oh!! And thank you! I hadn't even noticed that I'd hit that mark until it was being discussed... LOL!
