Another question.

If I buy Ti I need to figure out what gauge wire (haven't looked so maybe there is only 1).

I tend to run kanthal builds a .5-.7 ohm using 28 gauge kanthal. What do I need gauge wise for Ti to get a similar vape and what ohms am I shooting for.

I use 26 gauge titanium because it's a bit more robust and easier to work with than the thinner gauges for me. I also shoot for around 0.25Ω, but I also normally run dual coils which means each coil needs twice as many wraps. For my Silver Play that means two coils, 2.5mm ID, and 10-12 wraps would put me at a total resistance around .2-.25Ω... for a single coil that would mean 5-6 wraps. Then start the temp at 350°F and bump it from there until you're happy with it.

Yes! It's been on my list of possibles for a long time. I've been having a time with the Mom since she cut hersrlf & is helpless again. I decided I deserved it.
Yes! Woot! Yes, you do!

My splurge was 4 bottles of juice, none of which I'd tried. They came just now: Orange Glaze Sticky Roll (vaping. Not bad, FOOB.); The Knees of Bees (lemon cake, I think); Sovereign (no clue. Can't recall. Gosh, but I'm losin' it!); and Boston Cream Donut. No one would ever guess that I like ooey gooey sweet things!

ETA: Sovereign is blueberry coffee cake. I knew it had to be something sweet!

The Orange Glaze Sticky Roll and Sovereign both sound very good!! Heck, so does the Knees of Bees and Boston Cream Donut! I used to be all about the fruits, but I'm starting to like the bakery flavors as well. Which reminds me, I need to get DC's King Cake recipe from him...

I actually splurged and bought a bottle of juice a couple of weeks ago called MPC by Vape Chemist that was very good! It was a Mango Pound Cake flavor... I'm hoping that I'll be able to reproduce it in DIY at some point, but I'm not quite sure how to nail down the pound cake flavor with TFA.

Thanks so much that helps a ton!

:) Any time! I'm just glad that I can be of some help. I got a lot of tips from other members here and it's great when I can use that to help someone else figure out their set-ups.

I tried nickel, and it was just way too difficult in so many ways. Its resistance is lower than titanium, so it's really hard to hit a target resistance with it. Then when you do manage to get a good coil wrapped ya end up pinching the leg off when you tighten it down. That happens with titanium too though, so be careful. It's kinda brittle and is easy to break the leg with the post screw... then ya get to start over. It will take a bit of practice, but stick with it and I think you will really enjoy the vape that it provides.

King cake? Did someone say, King cake? Like the New Orleans gooey, sweet stuff? And there's a recipe?

If the answer to each of these questions is "yes" and no recipe accompanies, I'm gonna be one mad little bird! Hint, hint! :)

Uh oh... sounds like I need to get in contact with someone really quickly before I answer "yes" to anything! ;)

I will be putting it in the RBA base for a subtank mini which is a little easier. Dont have to wrap around a screw.

I do have the advantage that I have been building kanthal coils for years so I am not starting from no experience at all.

Nice! You've been wanting one of those for a long time!!! I'd been wondering how your mom was doing, just keep forgetting to ask

I don't have any that wraps around either... but it's easy to cut the wire in half in the post holes too, so just watch out for that.

Oh yeah, if you've been working with kanthal then you shouldn't have a problem. I switched to NiChrome a while back and got very used to that. It's much sturdier than kanthal, so when I started on the titanium I was used to being able to torque it down like a gorilla...

On rare occasions. I switched to DIY for the most part and don't order juice very often any more. Usually just a bottle every couple of months as a treat and to find inspiration for new mixes. I do need to get some more of their Honey Peary though, that was good stuff. :)

most of us speak fluent gibberish, but sorry yur hands are hurting. Hands are mostly ok, but back has been hurting soooooo bad.
Awww sorry you are hurting. When your back hurts your whole body hurts.

On the high side because of the Woodville I can actually vape something better than an ego + CE5 today. Everything else is too heavy or the button press is too hard today.

Actually no post holes either ;)

It is just a channel you lay the wire in then tighten the screw down. Haven't cut a wire yet with it though on other attys I have with Kanthal.

Edit: Sorry hands are really bad lots of typos today

Nice layout! I've not used them, so haven't had the pleasure of dealing with that one... sounds like I'm missing out!

Sorry about the hands, and I haven't even noticed any typos. :) Hope your hands give you a bit of reprieve soon!

Awwww... and your back? Y'all need to rest up and take care of yourselves... (he typed as he swallows a handful of Advil ;) )

Thanks, yeah it does make everything so difficult. But ya just deal with it. Don't wanna get off the couch, but gotta get in the shower after bit and go to the pharmacy before they close tonite. They shorted me 9 doses of B12 and 9 syringes.

Soooooooo glad you have the woodvil! It just tickles the stuffin outta me!! So much unasked for generosity around here!
