Ok, what's the starting point for setting it low? Do the manuals tell you what settings to use for each model?

Oh come now ... everyone has one of these in the house.

Hi! I'm glad you came backThank you, I've just come back the few pages and found this. So I'm thinking higher ohms, but if i get vw, how in the world do you know how to set it if you're not an electrician? Wouldn't that be a bit dangerous since I don't understand it? Although, I'm not feeling all that safe with my current model, but I don't have to worry about settings, too high too low, wrong coils, et? Have a suggestion for a very simple one, that isn't hard to draw on? I'd love a couple suggestions for complete starter kits. There are thousands if I go online, and my head is spinning... Well, it does that anyway. But it's a bit like trying to teach yourself a new language and there are way too many choices. I'm not all that picky, does anyone have a pretty simple one that's held up well, and delivers an easy, airy draw?
My latest upgrade project.

Upgrading my vape frog called Biff.uhmmmmm whut izzit??![]()
Yes - correctThink it's a frog. I could be wrong though, hard to be sure till more of it is printed, but that's my guess.
haven't done a bigfoot, wouldn't know where to start.. Maybe at the very beginning. It's a very good place to start. when spelling, the first 3 letters are A B C. and the first 3 notes are Do re me...Oh, good guess. Mine was going to be baby bigfoot until I saw your post.

Hi! I'm glad you came back.
I will post a couple of links with the options for you. I promise that these are very easy to use and that you won't need to know electrical engineering to work them. Really- they are easy!
I start a new coil at 8 watts. First, I prime the coil. All that means is I drop 8-10 drops of juice on the coil and let it sit for a minute. Then, I screw in the coil and screw the tank back together. Then I let the tank sit for a few minutes. Then I vape at 8 watts. This ensures that the coil has time to break in; it only has to be done for a brand new coil. When I'm ready to refill, I add more juice to the tank and increase my watts to 9. I could go higher, and sometimes I do, but my "sweet spot" is usually around 9 watts.
I'm back, can't make a lick of sense out of the machines that have settings. I don't understand basic electrical info enough. If I got a vw machine, how in the world do I know what coils, tanks, settings to use? I'd have to get a starter kit that has all the bits already sorted and be told what and how to set it. This is my problem, nd I've got to be able to use it safely. I'll keep looking on you tube, find a vendor in Au, hopefully, that will either take the time to explain it, or has a video that tells me how to set it. There are so many abbreviations that just go over my head. It's really getting back to the point of needing someone to tell me exactly what to buy, and how to use it. The simple tube shaped jobs that have a press and draw button would be okay, if they gave out enough vapor easily. I'd happily take straight out suggestions for the starter kit (all inclusive) for dummies. It has to have a wall charger. Our outlets are different, so I have a US adapter. I'm not even going to attempt the most basic diy, without an overseer. I truly don't know where to begin. Are any of those simple ones designed for lots of airy vapor? Or any vw machines that tell you what settings to use in the manual?
@Krisma, is there a good source in Australia for a Kanger Subox starter kit, an iStick starter kit, or something similar? Thanks![]()
In wattage mode you dial in the wattage you like. For a .5 ohm coil you just set you mod to 32 watts and the mod will change the voltage internally to 4 volts. If you change the atomizer to one with difference resistance, wattage mode will adjust the voltage so that you still get your 32 watt vape.
Thank you. There is a local vape search engine called vapeassist that will show you what's available in local stores. Then the larger ECF approved Chinese vendors will all ship to us.
Fixed that for ya...
Good info and explanation, Dave!![]()
How long does it take a FT order to get to you? Mine average 15 days from placement to delivery for the past year. There is a local vape search engine called vapeassist that will show you what's available in local stores. Then the larger ECF approved Chinese vendors will all ship to us.
Thanks! I was still proofreading and found that error and a couple more.

hehehe that's as good as it gits, and several folks had explained it but I didn't see the point behind the 2, so it made no sense. I think it was Mike that finally got it through my muddled mind.Lokachu mathing!
I did when I had my own house.....but the only money in it was loose change I'd find. I'm nosy (betchya didn't know thatOh come now ... everyone has one of these in the house.

You can use most any coils (ohms) or tanks on them. Keep it in VV mode rather than VW mode (most will do this). To start, like I said....add 2 to your ohms, then subtract .2 1.8 ohm coil + 2 = 3.8 minus .2 = 3.6 if it's too much turn it down, if it's too weak turn it up til it tastes good. this will help also........if it can't be read, can someone please blow it up for me. I used to have a great link to it, but can't find it now. Stay in the green area, and you're fine The resistance number down the left side is the ohms of your coil..... the colored numbers going across is how low or high you can vape that coil in volts. So find the 2.2 ohm coil down the left side, go across that line, and you can safely vape it between 4.09 and 8.40 volts with the best part being in the dark green area for most folks, but your best spot might be in the light green area.If I got a vw machine, how in the world do I know what coils, tanks, settings to use?

I have to really tighten the mtanks to keep them from leaking.Same here I got a couple of ehpro kfls a few months back that came with them. Really like them for the first week or so, so I ordered 7 more from FT. Put one of the FT m tanks on one of my kf 3.1's then both kfls and the 3.1 started leaking. Now I've got nine M tanks that are decorating my vaping bench.![]()
