Had to go do some things and stuff but WOW! Hi ALL!
I had no idea there were so many nice folks here on the front porch! (I really have to get out more, lol!)
The disadvantage of the "start high" method is that on occasion, you might end up having to dilute it a LOT, and you end up with a lot more juice than you intended.
I read this and thought, "TOO MUCH JUICE!!! Is that even possible??? Then I read the 100 ml. turned into 400 ml. and understood COMPLETELY!

That's what I call stocking up for a rainy day! I can also see where and why you had "a premonition" on the other flavors!!! Jalapeno!!! Ya, there's one to DEFINITELY start off lightly with!!!
Not to "horn in" on the thread, which looks like a pretty much coffee & tea extracting, which is kewl all by itself, but.........
Hiya Von........welcome to the porch!! Pull up a rocker and tell us about yourself. Gotta say ya look a lot more like a kreepy klown, than a Kat hehehe
So, to comment on that,

maybe WAY TOO LATE

......
Nearly a 50 year stink sucker for both my wife and I, quit a half dozen times all kinds of ways, always went back to 'em, even tried early cig a like devices (we all know the shortcomings of those) never any "real" health concerns or "issues", finally just got too dog gone expensive and modern technology FINALLY resolved old 'issues". It was a "perfect storm" of circumstances that pulled us away from "the dark side of the force". We are SO FREAKIN' GLAD IT DID!!! Our official "Vape A Verssary" is Valentine's Day of this year, though we had cut down to just a few and then one or two a day since New Yea's Day, using more modern cig a likes until we "wised up" and tried REALLY MODERN devices (Kangertech Subvods) beginning the first of Valentine's week. LIS, I can't tell you how happy we are! GREAT (store bought) flavors, a sense of smell, a sense of taste, breathing easier, more energy, more time to do things since we aren't tied to an ashtray or having to finish a cigarette once it's lit, so as not to "waste" it (@ $12 a pack!!!)
[That's one of the things I found ironic about them getting so expensive. I was under the impression the gov. was trying to "encourage" us to quit (supposedly for our own health's sake) through "Behavior Modification Taxes" (Don't kid yourself, that's what they are! "We want you to behave "this way" so we're gonna hit you in the wallet until you do!"). The thing is, the more expensive they got, the more compelled I was to "wring every last cent out of each and every one". Once it was lit, I sucked on that darned thing until it was GONE. I didn't get up and do something, I didn't lay it in the ashtray for more than a couple of seconds, that would be money just going up in smoke! I/we were actually smoking MORE and doing MUCH MORE harm to our health than if they weren't as expensive as they've become! GO FIGURE!!!]
we're also not replacing "the habit" with eating since vaping mimics the tactile routine AND there ARE so many GREAT flavors out there, thereby shedding a few extra unwanted pounds in the process! Talk about a WIN, WIN!!! I suppose you could say it's a QUADRUPLE WIN!!!
The DIY portion of this journey is a response to the availability & consistency of commercial juices here, in Alaska. The cost savings is nothing to snivel at either

!
And to Debadoo I actually resemble your avatar more closely than mine, IRL

(LOL). I just dig "Creapy Clowns"

.
My apologies for running on. Thanks for having me! I now return this thread to it's rightful subject
